Stopped in for a quick breakfast on the way home from traveling but this visit was rough. The restaurant was noticeably dirty, there were ants on our table and the bathrooms were in poor condition. On top of that, the music was extremely loud and obnoxious, which made it hard to even enjoy a conversation. The only reason this isn't a one-star review is because the food itself was correct and cooked properly. Mary, our server, was absolutely wonderful; friendly, attentive and the highlight of the entire experience. Thank you, Mary! Management really needs to address the cleanliness and overall atmosphere, because the staff and food deserve better than this environment. read more

The food was not that good but the service was amazing the waiter was very kind and kept apologizing for the wait because there cook didn't show up but the only good thing about this place was the server because she was super nice, kind, polite, and friendly. First sign should have been the empty restaurant at 630P. Food is OK It was nice to have a quiet place to eat as everywhere else is a shouting match just to be heard. We walked in and found 2 wait staff and one other occupied table. Ordering was quick and food delivery to table was also quick. The 2 wait staff then sat around a back corner table chatting and making phone calls. None of the normal checking back with the customer. By this time there were 3 tables in use and one other for the wait staff. One customer had to get up to ask for cream. After finishing our meal we waited another 10 minutes before getting up and standing at the register. It took a throat clearing to finally get someone to acknowledge us and take our payment. Management should be ashamed. It's Veterans Day. Service was so bad today several people walked out. No ketchup in almost all bottles. Also had to ask 5 times for ketchup. Answer was bottles hadn been filled. Had to ask for silverware. No butter for pancakes. Mixed up toast. Coffee pot half full. No one came back to refill. No one came back to ask if anything was needed. Waited for check at least 10 minutes. Had to flag down waitress to get one. Spoke to an assistant manager about issues. No good response. After a year and a half you think things would have gotten better. They had a sign that it was under new ownership yeah right . First we have to ask for silverware it is not put down when you are seated. So what do you stir your coffee with--- we asked for spoons the waiter went back checked the presets none there he went into the kitchen and came back to tell us that they had more forks than spoons and the spoons were being washed. This is breakfast they aren't that busy to not have clean spoons. The waiter was very nice but out of his league. He did not have a clue. There were three of us two ordered breakfast with bacon guess what one came out with sausage. We asked for three coffees with real milk and two waters. The coffees comes out he has to go back in just brings out the drop Of milk and we had to ask again for the waters. When breakfast was delivered the waiter put the tray on our table and pushed everything on the table away with the tray. Gives us our food and has an extra dish with eggs on it instead of my pancakes. Still no spoons. I said I get pancakes not more eggs. He came back out of the kitchen and said the pancakes would be out shortly. I ordered an omelette with spinach and avocado. I looked all through the omelette and there was cheese and tomorrow and spinach so I asked the clueless waiter where was the avocado. He went back into the kitchen took a few minutes came Out and said they were out of avocado. Don't you think k that they should have come out I would have ordered something else I hate tomatoes and I did not want cheese. I ate it anyway. The food was good except the toast. I think it was stale bread the toast was hard as a rock. We waited a long time to get Our check the waiter was at the cash register and I don't know what he was doing but it took a long, long time. I had to get up and ask for the check We were I. A hurry now to go To the doctors. We will never ever go back . This was a disgrace what would they have done if they were busy. Yes it's daunting but it happens, we were told the bill couldn't be split by one employee, and then we were told that the bill could be split by another. My take on most IHOPs... it is what it is! Long wait on a Sunday morning, even with Tina of empty tables. I'm thinking they were short staffed? It's fine.. If you get the food basics, it's not bad. Stopped in while in the area for dinner. The lack of cars in the parking lot should have been our tip off. Only 3 employees working: cook, server, and greeter. Our server was nice and got us whatever we needed. Our tea and coffee came out quickly. The pancake/egg portion took awhile to come out and the eggs were lukewarm. They did say something along the line of we can remake the eggs if they aren't hot. (So they obviously knew) The server was also bussing tables so the restaurant itself had lots of tables with dirty dishes on them and the bathrooms were a bit messy. Not totally the employees fault they appear to be understaffed but if you stop by, at least you can manage your expectations. read more

Although our hotel had breakfast, we decided to have breakfast at an IHOP. We arrived on a Sunday morning with only a few people ahead of us waiting for seating. We were told the wait was approximately 10-15 minutes. It was more like 30-40 minutes. Ok. No big deal. We were talking with family. We were seated and ordered. Food took about 25-30 minutes to come out, for a party of 4. Food was good, like we expected from IHOP. Restaurant was clean. Everyone we dealt with was nice enough. Server never came back to check with us after we got our order. Could have gone for a second cup of coffee. At this point we just all wanted to leave. We know now to try the other breakfast place down the street when visiting again. read more

It was as expected We waited for an hour during a 15-20 minute wait as they supposedly called our name 3 times. We were listening and never heard a thing. We were right in front of the stand. The strawberry lemonade tasted like Hershey's Strawberry Syrup in water, no other flavor. There were multiple tables that had not been cleaned since when we arrived throughout our entire visit. The food took a long time to arrive. The hashbrowns looked like a brick. The bacon looked undercooked, I openly welcome my food poisoning tonight. Do not go to this IHOP. It is nasty. I have given it a few chances and this last time was the last straw. Waited forever for our drinks, my sweet mango tea tasted like water with a tea bag dipped in. My boyfriends drink have pieces of god knows what floating in it. When we were looking at the cup we noticed a long hair stuck to the glass. We walked out. We had already ordered and it was empty. So the good and the bad. The good, I hadn't entered an ihop in about ten years when we came into this ihop not too long ago on a weekday for breakfast. Everything tasted really good. The food was served hot, the pancakes, the omelettes, the steak in the omelette, the coffee, everything was really good. We really enjoyed our breakfast. The second time we came on a weekend and same thing; the food was great, but the service was complicated. Complicated because the young woman who took care of us was very nice, however, not a good listener. It became clear that there were about five less people working there than they needed. Everyone waited ages to get their food. They brought us food that wasn't ours, we touched the plates to pass it to them and then we watched them serve it to another table. The staff seemed confused and the vibe really felt like someone took over an IHOP and was doing a pretty great job with the food but was not trained by IHOP and IHOP doesn't know they have an IHOP open in Lancaster. There are marks on the wall from stickers of yesteryear. I'm definitely going back, but on a weekday because they can't seem to handle too many people. read more

Our breakfast finally arrived at 10:55am. There were only 3 adults and 1 toddler in our party. The runner who brought out food, not our server, just placed food on table and walked away. My experience here was good. I am not from the area and I did hear the service is usually slow but we came to have breakfast the day after Christmas and it wasn't so bad. We did have to wait because it seemed like they were short staffed even though there were plenty of tables available, but once we ordered our food we got it pretty quickly.
