We didn't mind waiting 46 minutes to be seated, place was packed. Took about 30 minutes for food to arrive. Almost wish it didn't. First the coffee was lukewarm and so very weak. All the food(French toast, rye toast, pancakes, eggs, bacon and sausages were cold. Not warm at all. The eggs were flavorless. We were pleased to see IHOP open since Golden Corral was closed and we were wanting something sweet. Our waiter, Aaron, was kind enough to let me order off of the kid's menu and I was excited to try the chocolate chip pancake (Funny Face Jr face optional, but I went for it!). It was huge! I don't know if Aaron asked for a larger order than normal? The semi-sweet chips were abundant, the pancake was stuffed with the chips. Such a satisfying experience! BP ordered Swedish crepes with lingonberries. They were sweet and also tart. The crepes were soft and had a melt-in-your-mouth quality. I should have read all the other reviews before visiting this restaurant. Service was very slow and we waited for a very long time before receiving our food. The restaurant was empty with people at only two other tables so there was really no reason the kitchen was so slow. I ordered the Chicken & Waffles. It came with 4 chicken strips, but the strips I received were sorry-looking. Thin and small. I showed the manager and she brought me a big plate of them. Customer service could be better at this location and being that the restaurant was just about empty, there was no reason why they were so slow with service and the food coming out of the kitchen. read more

I had the worst experience ever. We were told there was 25 minute wait time and that they would call us. 25 minutes passed by and they still were not ready. We decided to wait, again. Another 25 minutes went by and they still were not ready. The host responds and say they are busy and they will call us. I wait an additional 15 minutes before I decide to pull off because this was outrageous and by this time it's been well over an hour. Horrible service. We saw this iBook was only rated 2 stars but we figured we would give it a try anyway. Big mistake. Sat there for 20 minutes and no one ever came at all to our table. We saw people complaining that they needed refills on drinks, syrup, checks and service. There were 4 girls standing at the hostess station but no service for the customers already seated. This IHOP has, by far, the LONGEST wait time! Most of their food is bland too. Especially their scrambled eggs. I Don't hate this IHOP though. A few of their things that I do like, are their plain pancakes, their hash browns, and their fried eggs. It's IHOP, for Pete's sake, so you should know what the menu will offer. Lots of good seasonal offerings, and a decent menu if breakfast for dinner isn't your thing. Granted, we didn't hit this IHOP during black friday, but at 8 pm on a Sunday night after a miserably cold and rainy excursion to Dutch Wonderland - in which my frugal wife refused to leave until we had our money's worth at closing, in 40 degree rain - bless her thrifty soul- IHOP satisfied all. Mac and cheese, two burgers, a fajita omelet and a cali egg mix later, we were much happier. Service was great, and waitress was friendly. Definitely the right time to visit. They are also paying attention to the negative service feedback by giving each table a card with red and green sides. If you flip your card to red, any wait staffer should be trying to address your issue. At least they are aware of the problem and are trying to fix. Suited our needs perfectly tonight. read more

2 STRIKES AND THEY'RE OUT!.. I went there a while back and the seats were ripped and worn out so it took me a while to get back to them. Today I decide to go because I wanted turkey sausage and a lot of places only serve pork at breakfast near me. Good food, good atmosphere (keeping in mind this is a family place - my friend complained about a "screaming child" on the other side of the room, but I noticed no such child). This is a bustling IHOP in the midst of the Route 30 shopping district. If you know that you are going to visit during the lunch or dinner hours, then be sure you are ready to wait - as the crowds can be pretty significant. While the decor of most IHOP restaurants are pretty 1980s gaudy, at least this location is bright and clean restaurant throughout. That's saying a lot, because the typical insides of IHOP lean toward the darker (aka 'cozy'?) side. My food has been delicious & done right each time I've been here, and the staff have always been welcoming and prompt. Those are about the best compliments that you can give to the typical IHOP, because after that - well, you probably don't want to come here if you are worried about calories (if you aren't already familiar with IHOP nutrition charts).
