Super nice manager. But the staff seems more interested in just talking with each other than helping the customers. The food seemed like it wasn't fresh. The dough in my stuffed French toast was hard and the bacon wasn't cook that well. They forgot an order with is ok but still. Not all ihops are created equal. This one is clean, with great service, no sticky syrup on everything. The food was great standard breakfast fare, my little guy housed three pieces of French toast, and the service was friendly, fast and on par. I would highly recommend this location for a good breakfast. read more

I'm sorry, but can someone please explain how the Manhasset IHOP gets lower ratings and more unfavorable critique than both the Williston Park and West Hempstead locations? I've been to the Willy Park and Manhasset franchises enough times to confidently conclude that the former is consistently disappointing ( in attentive and/or overworked/short-staff; and what's worse is the food is often undercooked and/or hot items served lukewarm to cold ) while the latter, while at times very busy, has NEVER served food at wrong temperature nor had staff that wasn't trying. As for West Hempstead, I've never been but judging by just about every other biz in that area I fail to see how that location could outrank the one along "Miracle Mile". read more

I usually got to the ihop in flushing which is right by my house, but I favor this location a little bit more. Honestly, I feel like no matter what day or time of the day you go to ihop it is always busy. Today it was PACKED, I think it was a mixture of graduations and end of school but it was filled with kids. My waitress had a few tables besides mine that I could see, including a table of about 10 rowdy kids. I could tell that she was in the weeds but she was very pleasant the entire time with my family. The food took a little longer than usual, but since I work in the food industry I know that honestly it's nobody's fault. I'm not sure if it's just this location or every location but they took the raspberry white chocolate chip pancakes off the menu, which is honestly the only reason I go to ihop. I always get the french vanilla iced coffee which is super sweet like straight sugar. So good but I can only really drink like half a glass. Our waitress honored the 10% discount with the yelp check in as well. The best part of this location is that it is very clean. The bathrooms and the restaurant in itself don't look like the other ihop that I usually go to where everything on the table is usually covered in sticky syrup. read more

WORSE SERVICE EVER!!! I called ahead to eat there. They served the food in the bag to me at a table that had not even been cleaned. The order had the wrong food in it. I love IHOP and I love this location the most. I love the blueberry pancakes. I also love the scrambled eggs and the hash browns. They have good coffee. It is hard to park here so you have to time your visit carefully. Get here very early in the morning or around 2:30 in the afternoon to get a parking spot. The waitress or waiter that serves me and my family are the best. They are very nice. We are always greeted as soon as we walk in. This is a great place. read more

Was pleasantly surprised on how good the service was. I stopped by cause was in the food for some pancakes. And why not come here for that. I was seated right away, by the hostess, I already knew what I wanted and told the waitress. Five minutes later the food was on my table. My experience at this ihop was horrendous. Im giving it an extra star because the food was actually decent tasting. The service on the other hand makes me want to go eat anything else around there. I came upon this location because i was servicing my car at bmw which was a mile away. I will not be returning. When i was seated i waited patiently for a server which i then had to flag down. And when i finally did flag her down she didnt even realize that i was her patron. She asked jokingly "oh are you mine?" Which i then replied "I dont know am i" then she said "oh at this time we switch so I dont know what is what". Which i'm sure they didnt switch because what restaurant switches at 2:30pm? That's fine. It didnt matter to me. I then ordered my appetizer sampler with a loaded potato soup and rib tips with mashed potatoes. They food came out at a decent time. Everything tasted good and was hot. I was not unhappy with that. But after my food came out i never saw my waitress again. I had to flag her down for water, tobasco sauce and the check. And when i did ask for the check she left for 10 mins which then i proceeded to stand up and wait by the table. And even as i was standing she came back to her section but never to my table. I then walked over to the front counter to pay and left. I totally could have skipped out on the bill but she wouldnt have noticed because she was too busy chatting with one other table. It's a shame because i service my car in that area all the time and i will not be returning. Next time i will go to tgif which is closer to bmw. read more

This was the worst breakfast I have had since, having breakfast one morning at JFK - Jet Blue Terminal. I have not been in an IHOP in over 15 years. My husband & I were in the Manhasset area & decided to go for breakfast. I had fond memories of their fluffy buttermilk pancakes, which no other restaurant could match the taste. We loved their cheese omelettes. I do not know if it was an off day in this location, but it was terrible. The bacon tasted terrible, the hash browns were obviously made in the same horrendous carcinogenic bacon drippings, so I couldn't escape the terrible bacon. I left the hash browns & bacon on my plate. I never leave food on my plate. The scrambled eggs were tasteless also. I normally do not eat these types of breakfasts. They are a treat a few times a year. My husband's ham & cheese omelette was nothing like omelettes of the past either. I try to be selective with my calories. It is too bad that my treat to myself of unhealthy comfort foods was not worth the splurge. I will stick to breakfasts my husband makes. Oh - and a waste of $39.00, which includes a 20% tip for the server. It is not her fault that she served horrible food from the grill. read more

I have eaten here several times and always had a good experience. Food was good and so was service. My latest experience wasn't as pleasant. The server was nice, but I felt very rushed. My food was decent, but my daughter's food was terrible. She ordered soup and it came cold and a BLT which was more like just a lettuce sandwich. While the food at this IHOP is usually prepared well, the restaurant is so busy that you usually feel rushed out. Also, this is the only IHOP I have been to where the tip (service charge) is added to the check (which we were not told about and didn't notice). There were only 5 of us at the table. We had also left a tip when we paid the check and weren't told that it had already been added. So our server received a 8.00 imposed tip and the 12.00 gratuity we offered without knowing. They must make a lot of money on unsuspecting diners. read more

This review is for diner, not breakfast. We rarely go out for breakfast, but have "breakfast for dinner on occasion. We wanted a light dinner for New Year's Eve, as we were celebrating the next day instead. We arrived at about 5:45 for an early dinner. We were shocked that it was not all lit up, and my husband nearly missed the turn. There was no one in the parking lot and we were afraid they were closed. But they were opened, just not very crowded. We were seated right away and a pot of coffee was put on the table. The waitress came promptly and took our order bringing out a pot of hot water for my tea. I changed the brand of tea with no problem. Our eggs were brought out very quickly, with a giant spinach omelet ffor my husband and scrambled eggs with french toast, bacon and hash browns for me. The french toast was very good. The problem with having eggs is that they get cool quickly. The waitress checked on how we were doing once or twice, asking if there was anything else we needed. We had ice cream sundaes for dessert. I like this IHOP, although it is a little old fashioned (it IS an IHOP after all). They changed their policy, and we paid the waitress instead of the cashier. This is a pleasant place to get "breakfast"" all day long, although I do like Denny's better. They do offer other options for dinner. It is good for families. read more

Whenever I can I go to this IHOP because it is clean, friendly and the food is always good. The staft is friendly and always aims to please the customer. A big shout out to a wonderful waitress, Alexy, who is knowledgeable, friendly, prompt and always gets your order to you quickly. The coffee is great prices are good and truly enjoy being able to have a great breakfast. Plus you can figure out what to eat if you are watching the waist line.
