Stopped in here the other day around 3:30PM with a friend. The place was busy, mostly with kids from the nearby Catholic school, but we were promptly seated and given menus. Our very pleasant waitress appeared shortly thereafter to take our order. I got bacon & eggs from the 55+ menu and my friend got a salad. It didn't take long for our food to arrive and it was good, standard IHOP fare. While not fine dining by any means, this IHOP provides good food and good service at reasonable prices. read more

There is ALWAYS some issue when it comes to ordering from the seasonal special menu. Either the waiter/waitress lie and say they don't have the menu anymore, or they say that they don't have any of the ingredients to make the specials. This has been going on for the past 3 months with me when coming to IHOP. The best waiter there is Isa. He always makes sure i get the specials and is able to substitute out something for the same special price if that item is unavailable. They took 2 hours to bring my food 2 hours!! But the worst part is that there was almost like one in the restaurant only my family wich we were 3 and 2 other small families so why the heck they would take 2 hours to bring my food?!? It's an IHOP, kids. it ain't brain surgery. The reason it has "PANCAKES" in the name is because that's what they do best. If you have a steak and it's not good, well, why would that be? BECAUSE IT'S A PANCAKE HOUSE! We always get a friendly waitress and with large groups of kids they are very accommodating. Good for that pancake jones you get every now and then. Not cheap for pancakes, but a known element. Consistent. That's worth something. read more

This is a solid IHOP. The few times I've been here the service has always been courteous and pleasant. Food is standard IHOP fare and it hits that breakfast comfort food spot when the occasional craving hits. Their omelettes come with a choice of hash browns, fries or buttermilk pancakes with a few dollars upgrade to their specialty pancakes, which I think is a great deal for $12. I love their selection of different syrups on the side of every table and if you ever get a chance to order red velvet pancakes-- do it!! Overall, this is the IHOP I'd choose every time. read more

Filthy!! We have been coming here for over a decade and what a downturn! We came in to try the holiday pancakes (inedible) and had lipstick on all of our coffee cups. The waitress brought back "clean" mugs but no, still had lipstick. We finally got clean mugs on the third try. The food was inedible. My mother and I had eggnog pancakes for the first and last time. It vaguely tasted like eggnog, but the cream was super thick and cold (making our pancakes cold) and the fake nutmeg flavoring tasted like plastic and overwhelmed the entire meal. I literally only took three bites at best. In addition to the mugs, my plate had smears of what looked like berry syrup or filling from someone's previous meal. So gross! And don't get me started on the bathroom! The ladies room had torn up pieces of used toilet paper all over the floors of both stalls. One even had what was clearly toilet paper covered in feces lying on top of a trash container next to the toilet. The smell was awful and I immediately walked out. It was surprising- there was a waitress just hanging out in the bathroom the whole time, making zero attempt to remedy the mess and deplorable bathroom conditions. For a crowded free pancake day the service was pretty good. I was glad to learn that this was a fundraising event for Children's Miracle Network. The short stack of pancakes came to our table super fast. The waitress was helpful. We ordered other menu items which also came out very quickly. The warm maple syrup delicious. It was an ok experience. I wouldn't go out of my way to return to this particular IHOP. Saw the posters on the outside of the restaurant promoting their new pancakes for latte lovers and figured I'll check it out once I see the menu. We were seated right away and shortly after provided with menus, but no waters. When the waitress came to check on us I asked about the latte lovers pancakes because I didn't see anything in the menu about them. She came back with two inserts that were left out of the menu for a few savory items and the pancakes I saw on the ads on the outside windows. My husband got the New York cheesecake pancakes with sausage and coffee and I got the salted caramel java pancakes and the French toast hot chocolate. We both enjoyed our meals. I would say if you do use the ladies room be careful of the water pressure from the sink faucet. It goes full blast and if you're not careful can really get your shirt or pants soaked. read more

I've eaten here twice with friends from work. It is your OK typical IHOP. The coffee is never ending and the pancakes, sausage, eggs and waffles are very very very filling. The food is identical to all other IHOPs in the world. That is a good thing. You get exactly what you expect. The service is OK. They are a bit swamped during meal times and not quite well staffed but I guess they can't afford those same workers during off hours. read more

One IHOP is the same as all the others, but what makes this one different is the service. I happen to visit it right when it opened. I can tell the staff is well trained and works like a family. I enjoyed listening to the colloquial Spanish. They didn't know I understood what they were saying and can't say it was appropriate either. Luckily, I was the only one in the restaurant :) The food was not that oily, but it is IHOP. I was ready to pig out and I did. The waitress was very accommodating. Checked in with me a lot. Usually, I would say this is annoying, but the waitress was very sweet and motherly. They served warmed up maple syrup and seemed very proud of their service and establishment. I assume the atmosphere is family friendly as long as you don't understand Spanish :) read more

Most IHOPs are set up the same, and that's no different for this one. They do however have a front section that adds a little more seating. Also typical of the set up at IHOPs the parking is usually terrible . If you go on a weekend good luck not having to fight for a spot. Had an amazing time here today! Drove from queens because IHOP's over there are complete Trash!! It's a Saturday morning so like others have said parking was alittle difficult but it opened up about 10 mins later. Was seated extremely quickly even though the place was packed and was also served quickly as well. Our waitress, Spanish lady was extremely nice and courteous! We got to use a 10% off Yelp Check in discount which also made it even sweeter. Keep up the amazing work everyone! On weekends this IHOP is very popular and very busy - so it can be hard to find parking and the waiting area is narrow and tight. But there's a good reason - the food is great (though watch out for the sweets) and the staff works very hard to please. Come hungry! read more

First I'd like to say I'm not a huge IHOP fan, but today I took my son after his doctors appointment (sacrifices a dad makes). After waiting 10 to 15 minutes in the parking lot I was pleasantly greeted by our waiter and he was very friendly and even suggested some sauces to go with the mozzarella sticks. He was attentive and seem to engage in his customers. To my surprise he even brought a some pancakes over (no charge). Friendly gesture indeed. Food was good and atmosphere wasn't bad either. IHOP is the go to for breakfast/brunch. My brother always comes here for the pancakes, which are fluffy and nice with warm syrup if you ask. There are varieties of flavors of pancakes and crepes too. I love their omelettes, their so big and you feel full. Also, it's very relaxing and you can spend time with your family and chit-chat. I've been eating here since I was little. They even sing happy birthday for you when it's your birthday, like they've done for me in the past. Who doesn't love IHOP. Always crowded until like after 1pm. And Sunday's probably all day. Parking is sometimes hard even though it's a bit lot. The good is looking good but sometimes not tasting as good. Pretty darn clean and probably the best IHOP I've ever been to. Def worth it. I would go there when I want tosme breakfast on a last saturday brunch time hour and it's inexpensive and the only issue is not hat much food. and The COFFEE IS BAD. At least I think so.. You can also ask for a fresh batch but it'll be the same batch and it'll just be warmer if anything.. I suggest the eggs, bacon, sausage, homefries sampler. Best of all worlds. And it comes with 2 small pancakes that can be any flavor as I always get chocolate chip! They have different flavored syrup! It's great and the service at this IHOP is 8/10! When I was a child, this was considered a treat. We would only go here on special occasions or when my grandpa visited the States. He loved American-style breakfast and this place does a good job representing typical USA morning fare. It has been years since I have been in an IHOP and this experience was just OK for me. It still is nice to revisit a place you have been to so many times as a child. IHOP is a chain, so naturally all the food is identical. Probably not a good thing, but if you are in the nostalgic mood and want to recreate those warm, and happy moments, chains aren't so bad. LOL. I was waiting for my car to be fixed down the road and decided to give this place a shot. On a weekday at noon, it was pretty busy and packed. Thats always a good sign. I had a cup of coffee (which BTW is bottomless) and ordered a ham, cheese, and egg sandwich with some fries. There was alot of food on the plate and I only managed to finish about 40% of my meal. Overall, it was a good experience. My lunch meal came to $9.75 and I also had dinner already. Yes, I know, pathetic to eat left over IHOP for dinner, but I guess its better than nothing ;-) read more

OK, this is not a one star review based on the food (which is always sometimes between 2 and 3 for standard chain restaurants). This one star review is based solely on service (or lack thereof). As can be expected on any given weekend, this place was packed and there was a wait. I put my name in for my party of 5 and had a seat. About 20 minutes passed and lots of people started to leave, so I figured we were about due since almost everyone who had gotten there before us had gotten seated. The hostess seated a party of the same size as mine (they were the last group that came in before me) and then inexplicably took a group of 7 which came in 10 minutes after me and seated them. Given the fact that I'm neither blind nor deaf, I walked up to the hostess and asked her what the deal was. She admitted that yes, I had gotten there first and that yes, my name was ahead of the party of 7. When I asked why the hell she would seat them first, she said "Well, they requested this specific waitress and once a table opened that she serviced, I gave it to them". I looked at her like she had 2 heads and asked her if that was the way things worked here, specifically if I made a special request for a certain server if I could skip the line. She looked at me like I just farted in her face and she said, "Well, there's another table that might be getting up soon so I'm sure you won't have to wait that long". I'm not one to be brushed off by IHOP hostesses so I made her get the manager. When I told him what happened, he said that what she did was entirely improper and that she should have seated us first. While he apologized, he did nothing to discipline this horrible employee and I told him to his face in front of her that he should fire this employee who clearly doesn't understand how to treat customers. I'm not looking for special treatment but I do want to be treated the same as everyone else who is waiting to pay money. The manager did nothing to make up for his employee's stupidity so an additional 5 minute wait ensued while they scrambled to clear a table and ironically enough, they sat me right next to the table of 7 who jumped me in line to be served by the same server (she was great BTW). I seriously hope whomever owns this IHOP reads this and fires both the hostess and the manager since they clearly have no clue how to treat patrons. If they both happen to still be gainfully employed at this location the next time I stop by, I will be highly disappointed. read more

I love Ihop chain. It is so good. I get the pancakes (International house of PANCAKES) and they are so good. They come with lots of different toppings. Their eggs are also delicious. This review is written for the friendly staff and the awesome customers that we had the pleasure of meeting! First of all, it's IHOP, so we knew exactly what we wanted before we went, we went in the late afternoon around 6ish, and it wasn't crowded at all! We were just planning to have a simple dinner and as soon as we sat down, our baby girl was crying and went off like crazy, we could feel everyone in the not so crowded, therefore not so noisy restaurant, watching us as my daughter was going on and on with her nonstop crying. Nothing we did seemed to make it any better, I eventually had to carry my daughter to the entrance, so I could reduce the noise and stop disturbing everyone's dinner... The staff immediately came to us and offered my daughter a balloon and a piece of cracker, it's that simple! and eventually my daughter was able to calm down and we were able to have a peaceful dinner after that. Everyone else around us not only did not seem/appear annoyed at us, they would playfully smile at my daughter as if her little episode didn't at all happen. Never really go to IHOP since the NYC locations always got me sick - went here once before and it was like 3 star but their take out service is horrible completely wrong and what ever was right was prepared terribly. Made a complaint to corporate - another resturant that is franchised owned - always the worse of the worse. Lack of care for service. Keep in mind my daughter was born at LIJ and I am coming all the way from the city from work to home in BK running to LI with no breakfast or lunch in my system to having no food (wrong part of order) and the food I took for my wife was not so good. The owners wife called very nice woman offered two meals - I refused. she offered a reverse charge - I refused. I am not a free loader - I expected how they were going to fix service not to get hush up comps. Don't recommended takeout and dining in is so-so.
