This was one of the worst experiences of my life in a restaurant. Wait staff was slow at everything. Didn't give us silverware. It took me going into the kitchen to get them to actually try serving us. Food was cold and some of it not cooked at all. My daughter has been throwing up all night since we got home from there. My wife and both feel like crap since eating there. Restaurant was dirty. Food and paper all over the floor, used napkins shoved into the booths. Just gross. Plus the broom and dustpan were laying on the floor in one of the aisles the entire time we were there and not one of them tried to pick it up. I rarely write reviews, but this time has been pretty awful. My wife and I love coming here. I've been a server for years and I understand "kitchen oops", and hectic busy days. The servers are friendly and the food is delicious. Today was quiet and we were greeted and sat immediately. Then we began our wait. I tried to make eye contact with passing servers with no luck. After 15 minutes went by with no greeting or drink order taken, I raised my hand high and waited. Two minutes later a server came by. "Sorry- what can I get for you?" We gave him our food and drink order. Then it was another 10 minutes to get two waters and an ice coffee. 45 minutes after being sat, we flagged down a manager. We still have no food. It's not a busy breakfast service. There's no excuse. 10 minutes later we got our food. There was no explanation or apology. I've been a waitress for years. There is no excuse for this. So was actually there a bunch of scammers trying to get a free meal. They treated the waitstaff terribly. Ate the salad they supposedly didn't order but didn't bother correcting them until after they ate it, asked for the manager and was upset they had to wait for maybe 5 minutes all the while two different waitresses went up and told them she was on her way. Complained that there wasn't a pepper with the omelette but admitted peppers were in the omelette and demanded a refund for the whole omlette. All the while the waitstaff was courteous and smiles towards them. Then as they were leaving the tried arguing about not ordering an ice tea and Diet Coke and I look over at the table and sitting on it is half Drank ice tea and Diet Coke. I ended going to the manager and telling her how amazing her staff was, and telling the waitress what an amazing job she was doing because although the family was clearly trying to get them frazzled they still presented great customer service and amazing food. The bill was 18.53, she said that will do, I said I wanted my change back from my 20.00 bill, she disappeared and never came back with my change. So, This is gonna be a long review, just a heads up. So, I came in with my cousin, we were greeted by an older gal who sat us down promptly. Our server came up to us and was very polite, as I looked over the menu, I decided to get the New York cheese cake pancakes which are my favorite. The gal asked if I wanted a side dish which I wasn't planning ordering anything else but I did, I got a side of hash browns and ham. I didn't look over at the price of the two but ordered it anyway, and also got a vanilla milkshake to go with it. Not too long after our order came to us and we started chowing down. The food waS decent but not the best, the pancakes weren't the same like before, the hash browns were small portion and the ham was a bit salty. The milkshake was fine. Our server was attentive and was nice to us but when I had my bill, I was surprise at how much it was. My total came out to $25 which was a lot for me because I've had better food, more food and a lot cheaper elsewhere. Bacon Cafe in marysville that is. Super good, good portions and they don't charge up the rear. But anyway, I saw the brake down for the food, my pancakes were around $11 or so milkshake was about $5, hash browns were $3 and some change but the ham is what got me, almost $5 for a salty slice of ham?! A little much for me, if I had know which I didn't, wouldn't have gotten it. IHOP isn't what it use to be. Too pricey, I wouldn't recommend going there because they charge a lot for little portions. The pancakes didn't have flavor like they use to, and on top of it, if I had just gotten the pancakes I know I wouldn't have been full. So overall, you're paying a lot and getting very little portions that are not fulfilling. I would rather recommend you make your own breakfast or go to Bacon Cafe in Marysville behind Winco, cheaper, bigger portions and the food is excellent. You won't be disappointed. read more

Went for my son's 4th birthday breakfast today and boy do I wish we would have gone elsewhere. It took 10 minutes from the time we walked in, with nobody in the waiting area and only about 6-7 tables occupied, for us to be seated. Once seated, the hostess took our drink orders and we let her know it was our son's birthday so she could pass along the message to our waitress. Our waitress finally arrived at our table as the hostess delivered our drinks and a birthday sundae for my son. Now, if you're a parent you know how irritating that is because now your child only wants to eat the ice cream and you can't let it sit until after their food is done because it would be melted. So, we allowed ice cream first despite our frustration, after all it is his birthday right?! Oh and they didn't do the song and dance like AT ALL. So after about 10 minutes of eating ice cream the waitress finally comes to take our food orders and you may think this is nitpicking but if you've worked in the food industry you should know that you always start with the matriarch. She didn't, now I would say it's ok because she started with the birthday boy but then you definitely don't go to the patriarch. Anyways, not once did she come back to check on our drinks, while we waited for our food, which took more than 45 minutes to arrive (a BLT, an egg scramble and two orders of kids pancakes). So the family that arrived 20-30 minutes after us received their food as we received ours... NOT OK!! Literally, the ONLY saving grace was a girl by the name of Sophie who interacted with us more than our own waitress. We probably would have walked out had it not been for her! In conclusion, we won't be returning to this location. I'll drive a little further to one I know I'll get the treatment we deserve. You need to do some basic training with your staff, maybe have Sophie teach it -, she seems to understand better than anyone there! read more

First impressions, the building seems nice and updated. I was greeted by a friendly greeter at the door and she brought us to a booth. This booth was not clean, just wiped off without care. The waitress was super friendly and got our orders right away. Although the food took 20 minutes to get out to us, and absolutely did not meet our expectations. If you want a good breakfast spot drive about 10 minutes to downtown arlington and go to the Stilly Diner, they have fantastic food. Friend and I went here for a quick dinner after being at the lake, waiter David was very nice and efficient. Ordered steak and eggs with side of bacon for both of us. Got food relatively fast. It's a hit or miss with IHOP. Sometimes service is great and The young staff there is awesome but the Elder ladies are always rude. sometimes we get the old hostess and she rather talk to other people then to sit us or talk to her coworkers. Wow!!! Not happy with this trip to IHOP at all!!! After a 15-20 minute wait for lunch at 12:30 ish on Sunday, we were taken to our table that the hostess started setting our menus on. I asked if it could be wiped off since it was obviously still dirty from the last party that sat there. The busses came over quickly to wipe it off and apologized Which was greatly appreciated. The impression already set though as I stood there waiting, noticing how sloppy the place and staff appeared. On to the service... Beverage order taken, nothing wrong there. I really don't care for the "sales pitch" that always comes at this place. Very cheesy and unnecessary as it is almost never about a special, just blabbing. Asked if a simple grilled cheese with bacon & turkey could be made for me but was told that they didn't have deli turkey at all. One with my next choice some chili ranch chicken sandwich with fries. I warn you do not order this sandwich it was absolutely disgusting. My wife and daughter had regular breakfast items eggs bacon sausage hashbrowns pancakes which were all delicious. My son had one of their banana Walnut pancakes which surprisingly came out without the walnuts and had to be asked for. Never once did our server stop by and ask us how everything was and to top it off refills had to be asked for. I don't normally expect a lot from IHOP and I normally come here for breakfast which usually is fine but man today I was very disappointed.
