We ordered a basic breakfast, eggs, pancakes and bacon, then the wait---ten minutes, twenty minutes, thirty minutes, forty minutes, fifty minutes--but wait, after an hour and fifteen minutes our food arrives, cold, not as ordered and more noon than morning. My significant other and I waited a few months before coming and trying the new IHOP. But man have we been sleeping on this place and wish we would have came sooner. Quite definitely the nastiest failure at breakfast I've had in a chain restaurant. The grill must have been recently cleaned, everything had a soapy chemical flavor. The fruit bowl looked artificial, like it was made of plastic, because the fruit was so dried out. Excellent service, the staff was very friendly. But I feel sick now. I was so excited to hear they were getting an IHOP in Medford because I'm from Texas and I've always liked it. However, I've been to this location three times trying to give them the benefit of the doubt and every time was a huge letdown. Honestly every time I was seated right away however it was 30 minutes before I could get service and two of the three times was because I got up and went to the kitchen area to get the manager. I will never eat here again. Unfortunately they need a hardcore service boot camp for their staff. As someone who used to manage restaurants and bars I know what the job takes. So, I know it's a chain and maybe I've been cooped up inside too much, but we usuallyhave a great meal at this IHOP. We do breakfast and sometimes we do "Hoppy Hour" which is cheaper than eating at McDonald's but burgers are way better. I I could select 1 star I would. We ordered a stack of 5 buttermilk pancakes 2 Oreo milk shakes and 1 small fries. They delivered it almost 2 hours later. Then on top of it the lady that delivered it to us completely disregarded wearing a mask. We went with two of our grandchildren. Was happy to see that they had a plant base meal...ok only one, but it worked. I don't eat dairy, meat and more. I ordered it but no flour either, so we substituted the pancakes/toast for hash browns. It was fruit, plant base sausage and egg whites. My husband and I tried this IHOP with the thought that it was new, it was going to be really good. Unfortunately the food was pretty terrible. I ordered the mushroom spinach omelette and it was burnt and poorly flavored, my husband got the waffle and it was also overcooked and his eggs were cold. Our meal took a long time to get to us even though there was hardly anyone there. Lastly, the men's restroom was gross. There was dried pee all over the toilet seat, dirt scuffs on it and appeared it hasn't been cleaned in quite some time. - the usual experience my husband has had at IHOP in the past. JUST HORRIBLE! First, we waited over an hour for our food and the manager, Lee, said he was going to comp 10% off our meal for the delay. This was at 8pm mind you. They weren't busy at all and had a lot of wait staff standing around. 2nd, they gave us no silverware and we had to ask multiple times to get some. 3rd, my food was cold and disgusting so I asked to swap with something else that cost $1.00 more however, our bill ended up being 5 dollars more and that's with the supposed discounts. Lee, the manager, said it was only a dollar so clearly he doesn't know basic math. 4th, when our new ticket came, the totals charged for each meal was not reflected on the total of our bill. The meals charged should have been less than what our total was. After bringing this to the managers attention, he argued and insisted on us looking at his screen so he can better explain the price. Irregardless, math doesn't lie. After looking at his screen, he recognized that I was still being charged for my gross meal and my new one on top of his "discounts" which were adding to my total. Finally he brought me a different ticket which still had a bunch of different totals. I asked for my first original receipt and he claimed it was gone and that there was no way of getting it back. He knew that was my evidence. This guy and this restaurant are committing fraud and they are not honest people. At this point, I have all my recipes but my original and corporate is involved. I'm going to be honest, I've eaten at a lot of ihop locations traveling and I feel like this one is actually pretty good- I'm not sure what exactly the other reviewers were expecting and I'm not discounting their experiences but when a chain first opens sometimes it takes a bit of time for the crew to get in the swing of things... everything in a restaurant has to be working together, the timing, the systems, the staff, and as they're working out all the kinks you have to be understanding of that.. it seems they are getting it down.. give the place a shot I'm sure the reviews will get better from here. IFlop was terrible. We waited over a half an hour to get a seat then waited almost a half an hour to get our food. Kids thought the purple hot chocolate would be yummy it just stand their teeth and it was so sweet they couldn't even eat it they're 11 they couldn't eat it. The potatoes with my omelette were undercooked and two salty my omelette was so overcooked it was almost inedible. Thing on your wife's plate that was edible where the poached eggs. My silverware was not very clean. and our check for two kids breakfasts and two adult breakfasts was over $50. Wait times are ridiculous (we have waited for over an hour to receive our food when the restaurant wasn't full). With the exception of One time, my order has been consistently incorrect. Today I ordered a crepe WITHOUT cheese. The wait person brought it out COVERED in cheese sauce and asked if it was okay. By the time she returned with the new one the side of gravy I had ordered was stone cold. I left without eating. The manager seemed aware of the issues but made No effort to make it right. First off the server didn't know things about the food that I had questioned her about and when I got my order of cannoli pancakes there was a damn black hair right on top and my pancakes were cold. Any ihop we've been too has been pretty good. We were pretty excited to have it back in town. Today was our third visit and I was hoping it would get better each time. It hasn't. I ordered the waffle combo with a side of hash brown. It comes with two eggs. My scrambled eggs looked like 1 egg. She forgot my hash browns. The waffle was so cold the butter didn't even melt let alone spread around to get in the crevices. The hottest thing was the hash browns we asked her to get. No refill on my iced coffee.
