This is a typical IHOP. It's great for breakfast, particularly pancakes. But with anything else, you're chancing it. Coffee is plentiful, but weak. Service is hit or miss. read more

It's an IHOP so from a food perspective not much to say but...... we came here during an area wide power outage. It seemed like everyone in the area was here!! The hostess and waitstaff, although overwhelmed with an atypical Wednesday morning crowd, couldn't have been more pleasant, patient and hardworking. Pancakes are there bread and butter always good. But the service is not the best.

Growing up in the Bronx, I guess I was spoiled by the IHOP on Boston Post Road (across from the shopping center). Was a bit disappointed with breakfast here. The service was below par and the food was marginal. I ordered an egg, waffle, and pancake combo and the pancakes were a bit dry and lacked taste. The waffle was also a bit on the cold side. My wife and I also found it to be on the expensive side. With all the established diners in the area, I'm not in a great hurry to return. read more

The food is better than the service. Our waiter took his sweet time to get us anything, even drinks. Plus, he was not very friendly and left a few items out of our order. The manager and another waitress served us more than he did. The bacon made us taste our sodium levels rising, and the toast was barely buttered, even after they forgot to,give it to us. The spinach in my pasta was insanely undercooked, and my chicken was rubbery. And to finish off, gave us the check before asking if we wanted dessert. Food is actually pretty good for a chain restaurant but what impressed me is the courteous and professional staff. They really take pride in their jobs and I imagine they don't get paid a lot. Tall young man ( I think he is a manager) is an absolute gentleman. Food came fast and was not expensive. read more

If I could do ZERO STARS, I would. AVOID THIS PLACE! Absolutely dreadful!!! The waitress took our order quickly and got our drinks immediately but the wait was long. First they forgot the appetizer (it was brought to another table), then they forgot my daughter's meal. We tried to talk to the manager but she brushed us off until ten minutes into our meal- she finally came over and tried to explain what happened. The waitress was nasty and never spoke nor looked at us again- she "apologized" which consisted of a defensive and rude "Sorry". The manager was even worse- she never offered a timely or reasonable explanation for anything that went wrong- she was also rude,defensive and obnoxious. Went to IHOP in Cortlandt Manor, NY today. For a restaurant with pancakes in its name, the pancakes were awful. Very hard, not fluffy at all. Also, sign says senior discount for 55 and over but when we asked were told you have to order from special menu and it's only on Tuesday. Sign was very misleading!!! I've been excited about this location opening up & finally went for a visit. Hostess greeted me instantly & I was seated right away. Waitress came promptly & food came out quickly as well. Food was very good & I was happy with the service. There was a few birthdays going on & the waitresses sang & brought out some type of dessert. I've never been to an Ihop that sings for birthdays so that was nice :) I'll definitely be back! read more

We've been coming to this IHOP location one a week for the last two years. The last three weeks have been a nightmare. Even though the place is less than a quarter full the wait staff simply can't manage the tables. Today we waited over 15 minutes after being seated and still hadn't even had drink orders taken. Tables around us were comparing that their food had come out cold and the staff couldn't keep up with bringing their plates back to be warmed. We walked out. Last week we stuck around and wound up waiting a half hour after order to get our food, which was wrong. When I complained to a manager he checked our ticket and came back and told me it wasn't that bad because our food only took 25 minutes to come out. Sort, 25 minutes at what's basically a diner is crazy, especially since it was near empty and we waited 20 minutes to even have our order taken. Sorry, management needs to get their stuff together, it should take close to an hour to get a plate of cold eggs and hard waffles. read more

Went there this morning with my Veteran husband he asked for a simple change in his meal to substitute something for something else. The waitress went to ask the chef, the chef denied it but listed other things. He stated to the waitress could you see if it could be done for a vet, she giggled and responded with yeah no he won't without even asking. I didn't know that when you say your a vet its a giggling matter. Least to say I won't be back here for some time. read more

Waited 20 minutes for a seat in a half-empty restaurant because "they didn't have enough cooks." I thought, "Okay, at least when we're seated, we won't have to wait." WRONG. Nearly an hour to get some pancakes and an omlette. My husband couldn't eat the omlette. I received chocolate pancakes (YUCK) instead of the chocolate chip pancakes I ordered, but we'd been waiting so long I just had to eat them. Yuck again. Immature wait staff, poorly cooked food, horrendous wait, and very, very odd looking patrons (lots of walkers, wheelchairs, and guys with 4-inch holes in their ears). Not sure what the problem is but we were very disappointed. We even went back a second time not believing an IHOP Restaurant could be such a breakfast failure. First, the service was very poor but forgivable if food is good. The food we ordered came to myself and my husband at different times, portions on each of our plates were cold. My bacon was hard as a rock and cold, as well as my eggs. My husband's pancakes were room temperature but the potatoes were hot. Some syrup missing on table (difficult to get servers attention to acquire missing condiments), hard to get coffee refills or anything needed. I even had to get up and go to the front counter to get our check. Our second trip was similar with no improvement. Thankfully there is a good diner down the street. read more

Food is what you'd expect at your average IHOP. Some waitresses are pleasant, others not so much. That being said, service is extremely slow on a consistent basis -- from waiting to be seated, food coming out cold, and even handling my check. Attempted to eat at this IHOP location 2x and both visits we sat and waited for approx 1/2 hour and NO ONE ever bothered to wait on us. Not even a beverage! And the place was completely dead! The waitstaff were too busy talking and arguing who was going to take our table because apparently no one wanted to work! It reminded me of being down south in a typical white trash diner! I can make my own pancakes at home thank you!! read more
