Horrible service. Have ate at IHOP many times this was there worst. Waitress drop a tray of water took 15 minutes to get it cleaned up. Manager never even came to the table. Poor management!!! Our employees walked past the mess in the floor and didn't even try to help. Some were even laughing. read more

We waited ten minutes to be seated when there was no line and plenty of open seats, maybe because of a shortage of staff, and 30 minutes for only one out of two orders to come out COLD. I'm still waiting on the missing order as we speak so make that 45 minutes. We won't be back again. read more

Ok it's been awhile since I've been here. I wasn't to thrilled the first time and must say I wasn't thrilled this time either. We ordered 4 meals had to send back eggs because they had chunks of meat on them and the strawberry French toast because the strawberries were frozen. After sending things back they were fixed our waiter was never around for refills asked for a pot of coffee never came had to ask for silverware and napkins took 5 minutes for those and this was mid afternoon with no rush. read more

I don't know what's going on at this location or on that particular day, but I'm guessing it partially had to do with the way the staff was scheduled. Maybe there wasn't a manager on duty. Maybe even a line cook or two called out sick? You see, I can only speculate because no one ever offered us a reason as to why it took over 50 minutes for our food to arrive. There were somewhere around 15 servers for a half-empty restaurant, and yet no one around us had food either, and many were still holding menus and looking around, even though they were there before us. Our waitress was new, which I am always extra patient about, but she was rude and simply didn't use common sense. On the way out, another woman approached a server and asked why her food hadn't arrived after 45 minutes, and the server just shrugged. The food was okay, but not great. I had ordered a side of bacon which didn't show up with the meal. When I asked about it, the server told me I wasn't allowed to get that side because someone told her the meal doesn't come with bacon. I said "but I specifically ordered it as a side." She said "You could've done that I guess if you paid extra for it, but it's too late now." Then right as she walked away, 2 sad, limp strips of bacon were brought out on a plate for me. Horrible service. Our waiter was very nice but the kitchen wasn't turning out food to any of the tables that we could see. After complaining twice and waiting for 50 minutes for our pancakes we walked out. Never again! We called their customer service number to complain and nobody cared enough to ever get back to us. read more

Got some burgers and french frys one weekend and they was the best burgers and frys had to wait a little while but it was worth it.

Service was terrible as far as the food coming out of the kitchen. Waitress was great and kept coming back to appoligize The manager started to wait on what appeared to be her friends. My food came out cold to luke warm. I would not recommend this IHOP to anyone. I have better luck at the one in Robinson which is about 1/2 hr out of my way. read more

This is twice now we have come here and we got an unnamed waitress. I'm fairly convinced that she doesn't even work here and just shows up dressed like an employee to play "make believe". *Below is an in depth description of my experience with some well needed humor because I don't want to put you through a long and boring explanation of a long and boring situation* Story time: Once upon a time, there was a 10 minute wait to be seated which is more than understandable. We were seated and then waited 15 more minutes before our waitress showed up to ask us what we want to drink. Three waters and a coffee shouldn't be too hard to manage. For a normal waitress, that would be the case. Unfortunately she is no normal waitress. Long story short, 15 more minutes passed and we finally got our drinks. The only problem is that they walked away before we could even order. To put this in perspective, that is 30 minutes spent (not including the wait to be seated) before we even get an order in. I'm not going to bore you with the next part so I'll just say someone finally saw that we had been sitting there and decided to wait on us, even though we weren't his table. Now for the long part (yeah that's right. It gets longer. I was surprised too) The wait for our food began. Before long, all the people who sat down around us were replaced by new faces, already eating. The only table of people we recognized was the table who also got stuck with our waitress. We had almost been sitting there for 50 minutes so we asked to see a manager, who was apparently too busy to come out and explain to his angry customers what was going on. At that point we already invested too much time into this endeavor so we couldn't leave. Finally we mentioned to an experienced employee that we had been sitting here for almost an hour and she went to talk to our waitress. Then to our surprise, our food finally came out. It was cold and clearly had been sitting in the back for quite some time. After eating, the manager finally came out and was walking around the dining room, so we called him over. He apologized but still seemed uninterested, just leaving us with an "I'll take care of you today" which was nice enough. We overheard him talking to the other table about what caused the wait, which was a "malfunction in the kitchen". Now I'm no genius, but I'm pretty sure a malfunction in the kitchen wouldn't just effect the tables that a certain waitress is in charge of, especially since most of the people there were able to sit down eat and leave all before we even got our food. We eventually left, only an hour and a half after we sat down. Over all, the food was mediocre which was caused by it sitting out for a long time before we got to eat it. The service was awful, and I couldn't tell you how the prices were because there is no way in hell that I would pay a dime for what I just endured. Think you are a patient person? It took 20 min for my waiter to show up. When he took my order he sounded half awake which is scary because I am allergic to walnuts and pork so when I told him to tell the cooks not to cross contaminate he didn't really seem to get it. I told him I wanted pancakes that were not cooked in the same grease as the nut batter pancakes (I think they're called honey nut or something) he said ok. I also told him I wanted 4 strips of turkey bacon bucause I can't eat sausage or regular bacon. My meal came on a greasy plate w 2 turkey bacon strips and 2 sausage links. I told him I wanted the turkey bacon again he said he would get it no apology. took another 30 min for the rest of the bacon it was cold when I got it. I went to the front and found that he had charged me 2.50 for the bacon that should have come w my meal in the first place. Lady at te front said she couldn't do anything about it... Frustrated I pd the 15 dollar bill, that was only my meal, that's crazy expensive for greasy American food! I went to the ladies bathroom and it looked like it hadn't been cleaned in weeks there was paper all over the damp floor and poo on the toilet seats. Don't go here. read more

We arrived at 8:45am. We were seated promptly. However, we sat unattended for, at least, 10 minutes. 2 employees came by but neither stopped to give us coffee or take an order. I went to this Ihop back in November of 2017. I had eaten a slice of their bacon, once I actually swallowed the bacon my mouth had an immediate bad reaction like I had just poured salt down my throat. Today 4/2/18 my tongue has not been the same. If food has just a SPRINKLE of spice to it, my tongue burns like lava. My tongue is super sensitive to EVERYTHING I eat. If yelp would let me give No stars I would. I have never complained on yelp before but I made it a point to get the app because of how bad the service was here. After asking for a water, chocolate milk and orange juice 4 times we still never got them and we waited an hour for food that was never put in. We called our waitress over and she said she was told to bust tables instead but we never had anyone new come over to check on us. Looking around at other tables while we waited I could see many other disgruntled faces, it just seemed like chaos with a lot of employees wandering around. I have worked in the restaurant industry and I have had to cook, take orders and bartend all on my own and I have not left tables sit that long. I know it can be busy and people have bad days but if you are looking for a place to eat I would NOT eat here! read more

Worst IHOP I've been to. We got seated around 1130 and ordered around 1145. Our food did not come out until 1240. During this time our waitress did not come over once to inform us that our food would take longer than expected which would help alleviate the situation. We tried to get her attention multiple times with no response from her whatsoever. When our food arrive the portion sizes were small and mediocre at best and my eggs and potatoes were cold. Other members of my party had cold food and had to wait an additional ten minutes for pancakes. For a quick and simple breakfast place, our service was unacceptable and food was horrible. OH MY GOSH. The manager at this location went above and beyond to make us happy. Prior to coming to IHOP I called to make sure they had milkshakes. When we got there, we discovered that they didn't actually have milkshakes. We still ordered food and didn't make a fuss, but the manager overheard our request and special made milkshakes for us. I am truly grateful for the kind staff here and their lovely manager. read more

I had to wait SO LONG because i requested a certain waitress who is my friend. They forgot we were sitting there, supposedly put us in her section, but then we found out she wasn't even working!!! And we had to eat all our food in 2 minues because it took forever to come and we had to leave to make it to work. We complained on the way out but no one even cared. Never going back. read more

I came here with my boyfriend for National Pancake Day around 9:30 am and had a wait of about 20 minutes, which was to be expected. Aside from that, we didn't experience any of the long waits mentioned in other reviews, but we did go on a more unusual day. Once seated, our drink orders were taken pretty quickly, but the waiter swept away before we could say anything else. The wait for the drinks was a little long, but understandable considering how busy it was. I got a hot chocolate, which filled about 2/3 of a tiny mug. The rest was whipped cream. The chocolate wasn't bad, but the amount was a little disappointing. The waiter had disappeared to deliver some drinks to other tables but came back soon after to take our order. Even though he must have been busy and stressed, he was welcoming and friendly toward us. The food--3 pancakes each and some sausage for my boyfriend--came not long after, and someone else came by to check on us. IHOP pancakes are always good, and I love experimenting with the syrups. To my dismay, we had two containers of butter pecan and no boysenberry, but I didn't really mind that much. However, our table was also missing sugar. My boyfriend didn't want to bother anyone so he just added extra cream to his coffee. We received the check as we were finishing up. read more

While most negative reviews of this particular ihop are about the food my party of 4 was not lucky enough to receive any. One good thing about this location before we jump into the bad was that we were sat down within a minute of us walking in and that's about it for the good. We were at our table for a good 15 minutes before someone come and asked if we had a waiter then another 15 minutes we had someone finally take our complicated drink order of 4 glasses of water which took another 15 minutes to come out and at this point we had been here for a total of about 45 minutes with that in mind the waiter just dropped off our water and left before we could order our food. Around the 1 hour mark, we decided to just cut our losses and leave. We would have told our waiter but we didn't feel like waiting another hour before seeing her again. Once we left there was a foul smell outside that left us feeling even more nauseous than we did with our lack of service. Thankfully there was a Panera nearby that brought us food in a quick and timely manner so thank you Panera you the real MVP! (Ihop was not busy when we went, I hate writing negative reviews but this place truly deserves a negative waiting if possible) all in all, I do not recommend. read more

The poorest service I have had in years. The tip off should have been that there was hardly anyone in there at a peak time. The server couldn't remember anything from one minute to the next. We never did get everything that we ordered. The place wasn't clean. It was hot. The bathroom was filthy. The server didn't even have the most basic of skills. He never introduced himself, never asked if we needed anything else, never offered dessert, brought the wrong drinks, etc etc. I overheard a customer complain about a chicken dish and he actually said, "what do you expect, this is a pancake place". We eat out several times a week and I will never step foot in there again. Word to the wise: there is an Eat 'n Park 2 minutes down the road. read more

Went to this location for the first time in years hoping it would be better. The waitress was clueless and the management nonexistent. The restaurant was empty but it still took a long time for our food to come out. My meal was awful and when I sent it back the waitress didn't even bother to ask why. When I got the chance to explain why I sent it back she replied ok and out the check on the table. I had to stop her from walking away to tell her I wasn't going to pay for something I didn't eat. I will never go back to this location again. I actually can't believe it's still open. They should close this location and cut their losses. read more

We stopped at an iHop at 4656 Browns Hill Rd Pittsburgh PA 15317 on our way home. It was the most awful experience I have had at a restaurant. I was very disappointed the minute I walked in and was treated like I was invisible. Several workers walked by and didn't acknowledge us, offer to seat us, or see if we had been waited on. There were 2 women talking to one of the workers who also didn't acknowledge us. We were going to leave but decided to give them a chance. After we were seated finally it took us several minutes for our server to ask us what we wanted to drink. As we sat there waiting we observed the atmosphere. We were surrounded by unclean tables, there were enough workers and about 6 other people in the restaurant. We decided to get up and leave when we overheard another customer complaining to the manager right beside of our table explaining that they had poor service and it has been "a long time waiting" since they heard from their server. We got up to leave and were questioned by the 2 women that were sitting near the door talking to the worker still. They assumed that we were leaving without paying and as we went to leave they yelled "dine and dash?". So that made our experience worse for being accused of being dishonest which we are not. We didn't even get a chance to order before we decided to leave so they had no reason to question us. I hope this complaint will be directed towards the ihop restaurant that we went to. I would not advise anyone who doesn't want to get sick or be treated bad to go to this restaurant. I haven't had this bad of an experience with iHop restaurants. read more

absolute worst experience i have ever received at an establishment in my life. i hope that our server was just having a bad day and she isn't always like that. after placing our drink (water and regular coffees) and food orders we waited 23 minutes before i had to ask another employee for some waters...he brought 1 glass for our table of 4. following that our food came finally (my order was wrong) and then after another member of our party asked we finally got our waters (she forgot the lemons but that didn't even matter at this point..). i didn't want to tell her that my order was wrong but my boyfriend got her attention and said that is not what i ordered. without saying anything she looked at my plate and i and let out a big "urghhhhh" sigh and stormed back to the front of the restaurant. after everyone finished their meals i finally got my correct plate, and asked for a box so i could just eat at home (which didn't come until asking twice). when she brought the box she brought our check all on one and did not ask prior if we wanted it split (which we did, 3 ways..). after another about 10minutes we finally got our change and she hands us the bills and goes "uhh your change was 47.28$ but we didn't have 0.28$ so here is 47$." ........... we left abruptly. will not be returning to this location. read more

If I could give this IHOP 0 stars, I would. A friend and I came in on a very busy morning where the waiting room was full. We stood outside the front door along with others who were waiting and the hostess came outside calling party names, like most restaurants. After a while the waiting room began to die down and we were still waiting so we went inside and asked how much longer when the hostess replied, "I don't know are you going to run off again?" Which didn't make much sense considering the hostess came outside to collect every party but our own. They put us back on the bottom of the waiting list and we continued to wait, watching others be seated upon arrival while we sat in the waiting room alone. After watching 5 different parties come in after us and be seated before us with no wait at all. We asked again when we would be seated and the hostess replied, "once you step outside you are no longer on the waiting list so you'll be seated when I want to seat you." After a couple choice words, she seated us and said, "and I'm the manager today so let me know if you need anything" I AM SO SORRY THAT THIS IS THE WOMAN RUNNING YOUR RESTAURANT. I will never step foot back into this place and I will do everything I can to make sure no one else does either. read more
