Went to IHOP on 8/27/19. It was clean and we were seated quite quickly at 11:00 am. I wanted to make sure we would be done before the lunch crowd. Having never been to this location, I didn't know how busy it would be. Ordered the 2 egg combo with pancakes. Is it my imagination... have the pancakes gotten smaller? Christa was awesome and accommodated my son's request on the birthday frosting pancakes. The wait wasn't long and the food was perfect as ordered. My son would have ordered a couple of more pancakes, but the server walked past our table dropping off the bill saying to us to take our time without asking if we wanted something else. My son commented...there goes a bigger tip. Word of advice, ask your patrons one last time before closing out the bill if they want anything else. I'll still go back since I love the blueberry pancakes! read more

totally done with IHOP at this location. Had The $6 2 egg breakfast with sausage. It came with bacon and ONE egg and 1 piece of toast cut in half! The Picture showed 2 slices of toast cut on half so I asked for The 2nd piece. They Then charged me $2.49 for ONE PIECE OF TOAST!!!! They did not tell me sour dough toast only came with one piece. I hardly ever write reviews on here - partially because opinions are so subjective but mostly because I'm lazy. Pretty hard to mess up comfort food but they certainly managed to. Service was great, as the waitress Kaylee was very attentive and polite despite issues in the kitchen. We got the country fried steak w/mashed potatoes & broccoli. It left much to be desired. Wife asked for no gravy. Got 2 bites into the steak when she realized they had put gravy on it, tried to wipe it off, then flipped it over to try and cover up the mistake before it was sent out. Mashed potatoes were chalky and dry, broccoli was chewy and devoid of all flavor or seasoning. Our 6 piece mozzarella sticks appetizer came out with 5 pieces. At least they had enough culinary prowess to make a pancake properly for my kids. Sat in the middle of the dining room but heard an endless stream of banter and trash talk between the chefs. I'm all for a chill work environment, but if you're gonna screw around don't forget to actually do the damn job you're being paid for. read more

Waiter told me that she don't know about national pancake day promotion. She approach the mgr, then the manager came and told with an attitude- like we are like a homeless people asking for something. How pathetic this professionals. What should have been a nice Sunday breakfast with my granddaughter was not I ordered half a order or crapes they were served on a small saucer and very little topping. They were cold and tasted stale sad to say I did not eat them. My six year old granddaughter ordered the Funny Face Combo they had so much chocolate in them she couldn't only eat two small pieces bacon was disgusting. The manager did walk up ask how our meal was and I told her mine was cold she offered to get another but at that point I was over it. We paid our tab and went and grab something at Starbuck. The service here is usually excellent, especially later at night (it's when I usually go) but the other night was the worst experience I've ever had at a restaurant. My server the night of August 10th at around 11:00 was one of the rudest servers I've ever had in my life. When we ordered our drinks, she kept questioning us if that was all we wanted. "Are you sure you want orange juice?" Yes I want orange juice please stop asking me. I thought she was just tired and grouchy since it's so late so I gave her attitude the benefit of the doubt. But here's the kicker. After her repeatedly second guessing us and rushing off before we could ask her for refills, we told her after she got us our food that it was my birthday. She rolled her eyes and said "ok? Anything else?" I didn't even answer as she walked away. I had patience with her since obviously she was having a bad day, but I was having a bad day as well. She brings out the dessert silently and slams it on the table and walks away. Luckily the friend I was with paid for it because I think she charged us for the dessert as well. It costs zero cents to show kindness and compassion to others, and maybe she was annoyed with me and my friend since we were younger, but her attitude was uncalled for. I hope this establishment recognizes that certain behavior towards guests is unacceptable, and that this server understands how her actions can impact others. read more

I came in last night with my mom. There was only one hostess/waitress. In the time I came in, there were five total tables. She hardly attended to any of us. At one point, I heard her walk into the kitchen and say "Ugh another table walked in" quite loudly, to which I could hear the kitchen staff groan. I work in food services so I understand sometimes having more guests is exhausting, but you're there to work. A waitress isn't getting paid to be in the back not checking on tables. Also, please be aware that customers can hear you complaining in the back. read more

Our party of 4 went to this location in Queen Creek after leaving a graduation ceremony during the evening (around 11:45pm) on 5/23/23. We all enjoy IHOP as a choice to get quality food and great customer service usually, but not here!! First of all the restaurant was no where near crowded as it was around 11pm, we waited in the lobby (the only ones mind you) for a good 15 minutes before being acknowledged; waited another 10 minutes for our drink order to be taken; once it was taken, she left them sitting at the end of the table and we had to distribute them amongst ourselves; the Strawberry lemonade glass had strawberry syrup dripping down the outside of the glass (we had to wipe the stickiness off with our napkin - unacceptable and not very appealing or appetizing); the Oreo shake did not come with the rest of the drink order (we had to ask her where it was after awhile) when it arrived it was not in a milkshake glass looking delicious and appetizing as it should have been but it was in the actual metal mixing cup (and not as part of extra milkshake); waffles were cooked too done (crunchy not soft and fluffy); wheat toast was hard and burnt. Waitress never once came to check on us nor did the manager. Waitress stated she was the only one working and they had a new cook. This was the absolute worse experience we've ever had at IHOP and we will surely never visit this location again!! I have more I can say about our visit but I think whoever reads this review will get the picture. First off I know it's late and there's a lot of us but we tried to compromise and be nice about ordering and the waiter just gave constant attitude about us being there and first thing she came out saying "what's with all the in and out of the lobby" when we were sitting here for 15 mins looking at 2 people walk in and out making direct eye contact and dirty looks. First off the map is wrong on yelp! This location is Elsworth Rd not Power Rd. Ok I used to rate this IHOP a 4 star let's get that out of the way. But last two times I've went have been horrible. Let's start with the first one... It was 2 am so only a few of us in the restaurant. The waitress absolutely murdered my order. I mean I had to repeat it 5 times!! I ordered steak and eggs and my order came with no Eggs.. The waitress was so far off point the table next to me was ordering drinks and she said you can't order 4 different drinks cause I can't handle that right now. Then while giving their order she had to say I'm not stupid I'm just a little slow right now.... My eggs came after I have finished 3/4 of my meal. Now everyone has an off night, okay okay... Very poor customer service. The couple across from us had arrived received food and finished all before we received our food. We waited for over 40 minutes to receive our food. About 10 minutes into the wait they brought us "hot" syrup which the server represented as "maple syrup" but was simply corn syrup. However, there was no food to put the syrup on anyway. The server gave the excuse that the kitchen was really backed up because they were so busy. If they are so busy then management should roll up their sleeves and get to work in the kitchen or hire more workers. We only had five minutes to eat because we had another event to attend. Came here for the first time at about 2 in the morning after drinking all night. Nobody in the place, food was good, service was good. I guess I should stick to visiting at 2 in the morning. Stopped there today (Sunday) for breakfast. It was about quarter to 8, so I was expecting a slight wait seeing as how it's a Sunday morning. We get there and put our names in the list - 2 plus a high chair - and were told it would be about 10 to 15 minutes. No biggie. 20 minutes go by. They have sat ONE party since we got there. Tons of people waiting now. The hostess is just making up times... Party of 3? Okay that will be about 30-45 minutes. Party of 5? Huh, about 40 minutes. Then all of the sudden we are told that her manager won't let her seat anyone without permission. And the kitchen is backed up. And a guy came out looking for the manager cause they still hadn't ever seen their server. Time to leave. Watching from the parking lot, it was a mass exit from everyone else as well. I understand that you run into problems. However, nobody even came out to acknowledge what was going on - the manager was nowhere to be seen and the hostess seemed to have no clue how to handle it. Since we were never sat I can't review service or food. But front of the house was a disaster. I still give them 2 stars since I had no issues the last time. But get it together. Sheesh. read more

My husband and I occasionally come to IHOP for breakfast on the weekends. It's typically pretty busy, but we usually don't have to wait longer than 15 minutes to get a table. The servers have all been very gracious and helpful and the food and drinks come out promptly and correctly. If you're looking for a yummy breakfast and a friendly server, come to IHOP! Although the wait staff is phenomenal, the managers at this place are horrid. They all walk around barking orders at their employees and talking down to them in front of the patrons. It's one thing to give constructive criticism to your employees, but to shame them in front of paying customers is beyond unprofessional. It seems to me that the 2 or 3 that I've witnessed since this placed opened are all on some sort of power trip. read more

I hop is always a place you can go to get good pancakes. I found the place to need an eye for cleanliness. As in bathrooms tables, menus just need a good wiping down. Service was good. What a shame! I have been going to I hop since day one years ago. Granted, the food was always 'fair', the prices 'ok' and the servers pleasant. In other words; it was just another average semi fast food place. So after being away for six months or so we dropped in for lunch. It was HORRIBLE! First, we were met with a huge pile of dog crap in the handy-cap parking area right at the front entrance. Crap that appeared to have been there for days and already stepped in and tracked around. Ok, not their fault a dog chose that spot to go, but NO-ONE from the staff ever noticed it or inspects the front of the building?Inside, (right at lunch time) you could hear crickets the place was so vacant. No staff to greet or seat you, only one other table being served , a waitress ponted to a booth that had a huge tear in the seat cushion, .....we chose another empty booth where your hands stuck to the table it was so sticky. And to top it off the whole place smelled like (of all things) a wet dirty DOG! Not a good association considering what met us outside. The waitress could not have been more pleasant. But my wifes meal came out rather slow for a near empty resturant. And besides the near ghostly silence of an empty dining area, the kitchen was filled with crashing and banging like they were serving a convention hall. But my meal took so long to deliver my wife was completely finished with hers before mine was delivered! How the hell does that happen in a resturant? To top it all off, the cashier did not know how to add a tip to the bill when paying with a gift card? Somebody has to oversee this mess, specially the smell and the food delivery time! Right now I believe they survive entirely on the overwhelming Saturday traffic of large families with a multitude of little kids. So be it. But I wish they would at least 'clean up their act' before they end up like Sears and all the others that did not pay attention to detail. read more

This restaurant is run by Germaphobes!! They allow only one menu per table. No syrups or salt and pepper allowed on your table. They bring out condiments in little plastic containers including syrup. The floors were littered with food and the restrooms are disgusting yet they are busy sanitizing chairs. Filthy and disgusting place where you are treated like a leper that is bringing in a disease. I actually really like IHOP, I've previously given a really bad review for an IHOP that I went to on the ride to california from Arizona. This one however is local and I am pleased to say that my son and I enjoyed out experience. I'm very particular about my eggs, its a big deal to me. I know it may seem unimportant but I am allergic to a lot and I enjoy eggs when they are done correctly and the way I order them. I know that one persons idea of eggs being done correctly and someone elses idea of the same may differ greatly. But over cooked eggs taste like omlets to me and thats not a scrambled egg. I only order scrambled eggs while out because I am even MORE particular about my friend eggs. So I order soft scrambled and this normally is either half raw soup or ignored altogether not just cooked scrambled eggs that are still moist (I order the this way because I assume that everyone thinks of regular scrambled eggs as dry) I digress, the eggs were good, SCORE! The place was packed for lunch time on a Wednesday afternoon. I was surprised. They seemed short staffed but we were seated, given drinks, and served our food without long waits. Everything was presentable and hot, we didn't feel rushed, nor did we have to wonder where our waitress was to get a refill on a drink or ask for the check. My only gripe is small. The manager (or maybe it was supervisor) was really rude to one of the waitresses, my waitress actually. It looked like she was short her busboy and he was busy elsewhere, most of her tables had not been cleared and she was trying to keep up with that and her customers and he got snippy with her about people having to wait because she was doing someone elses job (who obviously was not doing their job, or she would have had clean tables) A manager/supervisor should be a leader. If he had critism he should have taken it up with her elsewhere, not in front of the customers. read more

The stars breakdown as follows: 1 star for service . . . our server was cheerful and very attentive 1 star for the appetizer . . . onion rings were hot and crispy even though you could tell they were the frozen variety 1 star for the beverage . . . the iced tea was fresh and tasty 0 star for food . . . while the chicken strips were warm, the waffles were cold, in fact the whipped butter didn't even melt. 0 star for ambiance . . . dirty tables and food debris on the carpet. It seems that, that booth gets passed over, week before another couple sat in the same booth & had the same problem. Usually our service is fabulous.
