This is the first time the service wasn't quite up to par. Do not get seated next to the door by the kitchen. It seems that, that booth gets passed over, week before another couple sat in the same booth & had the same problem. Usually our service is fabulous. My dad lives in chandler, he went to eat at ihop in chandler. When he left to get back home he ended up at the ihop in Queen Creek on Victoria lane. Thankfully a customer at thus location called me and told me my dad was lost and seems confused. She gave me the address so I can head out to get my dad. The staff was so kind and sweet, the customer Andrea was kind when I spoke to her on the phone and the sheriff even stayed with my dad at ihop until I did reach to him. Just ate there about an hour ago and I'm pretty satisfied with my experience. It was obvious the place is relatively new and it stood better than average compared to the other ones I've been to. The food stood up to par. Their omelets we're good and the pancakes were on point today. The iced coffee tasted a bit old to me but that could just be my intense criticism on coffee (I mean, I don't expect them to have a starbucks in the kitchen or anything) so I couldn't complain really. My dad and I had a waiter named John (I think?) That guy came out with a smile every time he checked with us. That's something to really appreciate in service. He regularly checked with us and offered our drinks to go. Rarely does IHOP servers go out of their way to do that in my experience. Hope I get him next time I come back. Overall an IHOP is an IHOP. We have eaten at this location several times. Service is always good and our orders come out correct. This last time we got the tbone and eggs, coffee, omelette, toast. Food was good except we really did not like the tbone. It was cooked as we requested but it just seemed different from the quality of the tbone we have eaten at various IHOP's all over the country over the years. 4th visit here, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE. They refuse to put your name on the list if you call ahead, then you put your name on the list and have to wait outside in the heat for "15-20 minutes" that is actually 45-60 minutes. Last time I ordered a crepe "without" hollandaise, when my crepes came with hollandaise, I made the mistake of sending it back. My family finished their meal then my food came back. Asked for a manager, a manager never came. They would not even take it off my bill even after I refused to accept it. Today however the manager has come to our table and asked us to please give them another chance. Our waitress is really working hard to make it up to use. ....added another star for them. Went to breakfast this past Sunday. My daughter and I ordered the biscuits and gravy combo with two over easy eggs. Meal came out and the gravy had little white lumps in it and was runny. My daughter tasted her gravy and she said it was burnt. I tasted it and sure enough it was. It even had a dark tint to it. So had the server take it back. We decided to eat our eggs while we waited. Well the eggs were cold. When sever came back we told her about the eggs. She then told me the manager said the gravy is suppose to have lumps and taste that way. Yikes....I usually love IHOP!! Last night was awful. Food was ok but not the usual quality. Coffee was a bit tasteless. Husbands eggs were burned on the sides and when his pancakes were served the butter nearly landed in his lap as it slid off! That means 2 things. Our order sat in the window for awhile before coming out, which explains why food wasn't hot but rather warming and why it took so damn long to get three breakfast platters. All of them were basic egg dishes, maybe 20 min tops. I do take into account customer count but there were not that many people there. Lastly were were sat at a table without utensils which were brought after beverages but before food meaning we were stiring coffee w straws. And when butter slid off the plate the waitress seemed oblivious on what to do! She stood there, said she would bring more butter! No offer for help by getting table cloth , no offer for extra napkins etc... she asked if there was anything more we needed. The service was top notch! We had a large group- 5 adults and 3 children. Christa was our waitress and she was on top of everything. Super friendly to our girls. She was so attentive and on top of the drinks and keeping us taken care of. The food arrived quickly and was perfect. But before it came out she noticed one set of our eggs was over cooked- she bought all the food out with an explanation and within minutes had the eggs properly cooked and out to our table! We ordered take out from this store. We paid for the delivery fee and we didn't get our whole order. So when I call, they tell me I can only come in to get the rest. I don't even have the option to be refunded and forget it because they say they have no control over Uber eats. So we go in and get the rest of the order. So I took my family to this restaurant to have breakfast. They were all excited to get some delicious pancakes. For me I started with a hot cup of coffee. As usual, the first few sips woke a fire in my belly that rivaled hell it self. I excused my self and headed to the bathroom to perform this excorsism. As I finished (and yes I made it out alive for those who are wondering) I reached for the toilet paper provided. This is were this story took a turn for the worse. It was the most horrible toilet paper I ever used. Can best be described as John Wayne toilet paper, rough as hell and wont take shit off of nobody!!! I wiped and I wiped and I wiped. My arm started to tremble with fatigue. It was worse than two days after arm day. My poor orifice felt like it had been sanded off. Like i used a cheese grater to wipe. I blacked out for god knows how long from the pain. While In the state of unconscious I saw a light, and God was there. I begged him for help. He said to me in an accent most reminiscent of the Situation from the Jersey Shore " My son, you should never do away games. No good will ever come of it. Now get the hell off my lawn". I was awoken by the sounds of a crying baby that deficated himself at the breakfast table. I couldnt take it anymore. Sweating, fatigued, and emotionally vulnerable I was forced to take drastic measures. I asked the man changing his baby for a few wipes. "Please sir, could you spare a wipe or two? I would ask if this was not a dire situation". He felt pity for me and spared a two moist towelletes. Finally some relief. The god sent wipes finished the job. I pulled up my pants and waddled back to the table. My family was STILL there. I thought I would never see them again. The manager Chelsea Duce has no respect for our veterans who served our country and their SERVICE DOGS who come into the restaurant for a meal. She rushed a family out of the restaurant and demanded they leave the establishment because they had their service dog with them. She went against the ADA law and even demanded to see paperwork. Went today for breakfast, pretty busy but only waiting 20 minutes for a table. I saw the manager stepped in to help the two women hostessing and that for sure sped up the process. I server was very kind and genuine and actually seemed happy to work. The food is always the same so no complaint with option. Unfortunately we had a terrible to go experience here on Christmas Day. We have ordered in the past with no problem. My family is all home sick and we were not up to cooking. We decided to order out and IHOP was open. The food was all over cooked (and burnt) to the point that we had to throw out most of it. The burgers were so over cooked and burnt you could not even eat them, the chicken fingers were over cooked to the point that they were like shoe leather. I mean I know they were busy but is there no quality control? All you had to do was look at the food and know it needed to be tossed and done over. Me and my family went to this IHOP location on Christmas (just yesterday) knowing this was one of the few restaurants open on Christmas Day. We were a party of 8 and were waiting almost an hour to get seated, once we did it took them 15 minutes to order drinks and about 45 minutes to order our food and get served. Very poor service from our waitress today. We came in for brunch for my moms birthday because she wanted breakfast and *usually* loves IHOP. That was not the case today. Our waitress took about 20 minutes to even acknowledge or greet us and when she finally did she came up to us and said "sorry it's really busy but what can I get you guys to drink" mind you it was not very busy at all. Maybe steady, but to say busy would be an overstatement. She finally brought our drinks out 10 minutes after ordering it and we asked for sugar once, no reply or acknowledgment from her once again so we ask again; this time she says "IM GRABBING IT! THANKS!" As she storms away with an attitude. At the end we ask for two separate tabs with my food and my kids food on it and she brings back the tabs with one card charged for $31 and change and the other over $80. We tell her this isn't right and she takes it away and brings back an itemized receipt and says "well I looked at it and it's right sooo" and just walks away. So we add up the tab which only comes out to $62 and change. I walk up to her to inform her that this isn't correct and she, very frustrated with us, tell us that it's because the tax. We say no that doesn't sound right and to speak to a manager. She grabs the receipt out of my moms hand and storms off as she says "OH MY GOD!" The manager went over the whole tab with us and turns out she didn't even split our tabs correctly and had random things on random tabs. She walks out again and I tell her that she is awful and she replies back "You are too!" It was honestly embarrassing watching a 50 year old woman act so immature especially in her work environment and even more so that her literal job is to deal with guests all day and give great service. Definitely only go here for breakfast food. Their lunch and dinner food is terrible. I also found out that they only use real eggs for over easy, over hard and sunny side up. If you order scrambled eggs or an omelette they come out of a bag already beaten. Some lady complained that her scrambled eggs were rubbery and didn't taste fresh and the waitress did admit that the eggs for scrambled and omelettes come out of a bag. They definitely have a skeleton staff late at night. Even when it's not busy, it takes forever to get seated, served and get the bill. And beware, if you pay with cash, they don't have change up front anymore. The cashier will have to go back into the kitchen to get you change. read more

I've ordered from this location three times now, not once have I gotten a correct order. We did the, 'make it right' song and dance with management. Chelsea is awesome, I don't know about the others. Their hash-browns are awful and they don't allow substitutions. Who wants limp, tasteless, questionably cooked potato? Not me. This, the last time, I ordered two omelettes, one with pancakes one with waffles, and a side of broccoli. I received two sets of pancakes and the broccoli was maybe half a cup of florets, limp, and brown. We're not going back. Store credit still has to be used at the store. Buyer beware. read more

First off, I don't expect anything absolutely amazing from ihop, but the service and food my friend and I experienced tonight was absolutely horrible. The staff was very rude and slow. We were seated almost immediately however, after we were seated we sat at our table and waited for more than 20 minutes before our server even acknowledged our presence let alone wanting to even get us drinks. The restaurant was moderately busy which is understandable due to it being a high school graduation night but in my opinion it doesn't excuse having a nasty attitude and being inattentive. I've worked in customer service and management for many years now so trust me when I say I let quite a few things slide if I notice them and I don't like having to write negative reviews and be one of "those" people. But tonight really just did it for me. I'm not expecting 5 star service from a place like ihop, but a friendly and positive dining environment would've have been nice. The wait was very long (we were sitting for about an hour before we got our food) which if the staff was apologetic and pleasant I would've been very forgiving. By the time the food even came we were about ready to leave and just go to McDonald's next door. It wouldn't have been any worse than what we ate. Overall quality and service has really just gone downhill at this location and I cannot say that I will be returning.
