I would of given this place zero stars, when we walked in the servers weren't welcoming, a waitress took us to our table and it was not cleaned at all and neither were the tables around us, it doesn't look like they are following covid regulations, I should of taken pictures but I was too disgusted at how dirty the tables and floors were me and my family left, it didn't feel safe to dine in. The food is OK if you can get it. They obviously scale back staffing severely for their non-busy times. We were seated Monday at around 10:45 AM. We only stopped in because the parking lot was half empty and we thought we could get seated & served quickly. It's now 11:35 and still no food... tick tick tick... waitress just said our ticket is "next in line..." Wonder if any of the other diners would like to lay odds on when food arrives. ... Food finally arrived around 11:45. It was hot and tasty enough, so I guess the kitchen was behind. I'm used to the best of service with this business, after dining at a handful of locations, but I've never been satisfied with my hometown's only location. First, I ordered the "All you can eat" pancakes, which at first sounds delightful. Easy enough, you choose a starter entree and pancakes follow 2 at a time as you request. The problem is, when you ask for them and wait ten minutes for each TWO to follow it becomes hell to even think that your getting your money's worth. Not only that, while waiting they neglect other things like drink refills, napkins. In other words, a beyond disappointing trip as usual to a place that has always had my respect. What can you expect from a place you give countless chances because of their 24 convenience... nothing. A dining experience like the one I received this evening (January 7th, 2017) is one for the books. Will I return? Maybe. Now for the food? Delicious, but no one should wait ten minutes at a time for TWO pancakes. Especially when you walk in and there's only two other tables present besides the one I dined with a friend at. There is some old comments for this location that absolutely do not apply anymore. I am currently on my second visit to this location, both visits within a month. I have eaten a lot of ihop in my day and these two visits were the best two I have ever had in regards to the restaurant. Very clean, excellent service, competent staff, and the food has by far been the best ihop food I have ever had. Absolutely delicious, great quality and display. I will continue to eat here on a regular basis! PS: Jessica was my server this time around and she did an amazing job. Can't remember our first servers name but she was great as well! read more

I honestly dont know what the deal is with the Seguin Ihop but it is TERRIBLE!!!! I use to work at Caterpillar on night shift so by the time I got off of work it was 2:30 - 3:30 am the only places that were open was Ihop and whataburger. So my options were very limited lol. The service is absolutely disgraceful! I waited 1 hour to get my order taken, another hour to get the food, and 45 mins to get the check while our host was just sitting at a booth playing on her phone. The worst part is that they were not busy at all!!! My strawberry splash did not have orange at all. When I asked if they were out the host just rolled her eyes and walked off! When asking for a manager about the girls behavior, he brushed if off and went back into the kicthen! That is just one of the instances where the service was unprofessional. The food isn't any better undercook eggs, overcooked bacon, and burgers that are just dripping with grease. I will say that i love their splash berries (when done correctly) it is a shame that they are the only breakfast place here in my town. read more

I normally don't write reviews, especially a negative one but I felt like with being a server/ bartender at a restaurant for years and knowing how restaurants operate I couldn't pass on saying something. This is the IHOP in Seguin, TX. I walk in with 3 other buddies at around 11 pm (they're open 24 hours) to a restaurant run by 1 server and 1 manager. I am fully aware of the shortness of staff and how hard it is in the food industry with a short staff. At slow times at a small restaurant I work at, we usually have 1 server and a cook and can handle around 6 maybe even 7 tables. Our managers even go on break during these slow hours. I walk in, and there are only 3 other small tables taken in the restaurant, so obviously not busy. I wait at the host stand for about 5-10 minutes with the waitress, who was making eye contact, walking around basically ignoring us. Doesn't even say "just one second please" or anything. She eventually comes to the host stand to tell us it'll be a 30-45 minute wait because her manager is "clumsy" and has "butterfingers" and "spilled a bunch of crap in the kitchen." We all look at each other and agree that it would be fine to wait and ask if we could just grab a booth and chill for the 45 minutes.... So sit us and we'll wait to be served..... she responds by saying she'll ask her manager and follows it up by telling us "sorry no, we can't have anyone at the host stand waiting while no employees are present". Again, I ask if we can be seated and just wait for her to be done cleaning the mess to which she turns us down again, repeating "no we can't have anyone waiting while no employees are present". I'm sorry but this is absolutely ridiculous. Never in my life have I been told to leave a restaurant because they will be on a wait and we can't wait. Horrible customer service and clearly just didn't want to serve us. Well, there goes the easiest tip she would've made that night. Won't be returning to this IHOP ever again. Went to the one in New Braunfels, they have 1 waitress and 1 cook and the waitress here was busy with a 20 table top, still greeted us, said she'll be right with us, and has given us excellent customer service read more

I went here with some of my friends to order 5 orders of pancakes and 1 chicken crepe. It then took them over an hour to cook our food for 7 people, and they managed to burn our hash browns and give me a strawberry crepe instead of a chicken crepe. I am still waiting for an order of pancakes 65 minutes later. You would get better service at the gas station 500 feet away.
