I have been to this IHOP about 5 times now and every time I get the WORST service from the hostess. I am junior in High School and I am now aware that, because of my age, I am more likely to receive bad service. In my most recent incident, I was TERRIBLY treated by the host. Our waitress had gotten one of my friend's orders wrong and eventually came back with the correct order. She made the mistake of adding the messed up and fixed order onto our bill. When we went to the front desk, to pay our bill, the host rolled her eyes and did not believe our story. We had to wait there for another 30 minutes just so she could confirm the story. Considering I am a teenager, I understand why she would need to make sure we weren't lying but I did not appreciate the dirty looks and 30 minutes wasted on waiting. This place is very very bad i came with my family 8 of us and 2 kids the place wasnt pack and they still took 20 minutes to get us a table after that they took us to our table they were still cleaning the table and it the service is very bad the food is good but if ur very hungry dont come here cuz u gonna be waiting for at aleast 20 minutes till you get your food by the way the some ppl that work here need to take showers and brush their hair cuz they smell and look nasty read more

The worst experience ever. We waited an hour for our food and the place wasn't very crowded. When we got the food all of it was cold, my daughter sent hers back and was brought warmer food but the pancakes were raw inside. Over $9.00 a plate for breakfast food that was disgusting. Got seated and waited 30 minutes for getting a waiteress which we had to actually stop and it was the manager who apologized and took our order. 30 minutes later after everyone else was getting served I once again stopped the area's waitress and asked wher our order was ..."Ill check she said" She came back and to tell us it had not been turned in ! If I could give half a star, I would. There were at least 12 employees when we got there walking in from outside from their smoke break, and we waited at our table for at least 5-6 minutes before a dishwasher even acknowledged we were there. We left at about minute 10, this isn't the first time either. Our family has given them chance after chance, we're done. The IHOP in New Braunfels is better anyway. Don't visit this location, it's terrible and always has been. read more

We went to Ihop to try it for a 2nd time after terrible service the 1st time. We ended up walking out this time. Got seated and had to clean our own table, watched 2 other groups get sat and order drinks before we had a server. Looking around, there was trash ALL OVER the floor, food on the floor, food and trash in seats "ready for customers." The busser was just sweeping trash off the table and on to the floor, or your seat. Finally, after waiting 45 minutes to get our food, it wasn't even luke warm. I went and asked to speak to the manager, Rudy. I asked when the last time he was on his floor. His reply was about 20 minutes ago, why? I said first off I haven't seen you in the hour Ive been here, and second, your restaurant is absolutely disgusting. He offered several excuses to the issues I pointed out to him and then offered a discount. I said "we're not interested" and left. Stay away from this dump. read more

This IHOP isn't deserving of even one star. We had been on the road all day. After finally checking into hotel at 10pm, we headed to IHOP for late dinner. First thing we noticed was no heat in the restaurant. It was 42 degrees outside and about the same inside. All the employees were wearing coats. When we asked our server why no heat, he said it was "corporate" who controlled the temperature. We placed our order between his constantly coughing. Our order was a burger and soup and a dinner which included a salad and a soda. Ten minutes later, no soda, no salad, no server to be found! We were the only customers other than a table of 3 teenagers. As we sat shivering with our coats on waiting for our food, I called another server over and said the cold temps were unacceptable. She said it was the manager and I asked if he were onsite. Yes, so I asked her to tell him he needs to turn on some heat. Neither the customers or the employees should have to wear coats! She disappeared into the kitchen while another five minutes went by with no soda, salad or server to be found! Needless to say, we walked out! Train your employees! The food was typical IHOP food. It was ok. We were here for breakfast. The table was dirty, my fork was dirty, and the salt shaker had syrup on it. Our waitress brought our food to us, set it down and ask us "would you like a refill on your drinks later?" Overall I won't be coming back. read more

The host was rude when we walked in. Came in at 12 and it wasn't busy and took 10 minutes to be greeted by our waitress. We already knew what we wanted and when we ordered our appetizer witch was mozzarella sticks came out were cold the cheese wasn't melted at all. I tried to order the chicken fried steak and substitute fries instead of broccoli and was told I can't do that, so I ordered chicken fried steak and eggs instead. The pancakes that came with my meal were falling apart before I even touched them. My eggs where also unappealing they had black globs of something in them. After today I will no longer give IHOP my business, I will gladly walk across the street to chili's for far better food and service read more

I actually would give this place no stars if it weren't for our waitress, the girl with the bun on her head. She argued with the cook to try and get our food but 40 minutes later it still wasn't there. The manager finally came over but could care less what we needed and walked away. We were not the only ones complaining when we walked out 50 minutes after our order went in but the manager didn't care one bit. She was an older woman who should've gotten back in the kitchen herself to get peoples food out if the cooks couldn't handle the job. Worse service ever! We were seated right away but waited 55 min to get our food. Waitress was nice but kept blaming the kitchen.Not once did Manager come around. Wow I am with Tracy U., I thought you couldn't screw up breakfast. Wrong! Went there this morning for breakfast and my husband has been sick since we got home and he hasn't eaten or drank anything since. Vomiting and diarrhea are not 2 things you want to have after leaving a restaurant! You want good memories and a full tummy waiting for digestion. Called to let the manager know and all he said was he would look into it. Ha that sounded convincing! Not even I am sorry he got sick or a hope he feels better. Hell I could have called the health department. This IHOP is not as good as the one in New Braunfels. I've visited many IHOPS in various States over the years. My youngest daughter & I always go to the IHOP in Olive Branch Mississippi together ever since she was little. Well, I'm living in Seguin Texas now. And I've frequented the Seguin IHOP on many occasions over the past 3 years...but I'll never go back there. I've taken my girlfriend there on many occasions and I've never experienced any real "issues" until a couple days ago. I ordered my usual...a Breakfast Sampler & please substitute my hash browns for Red Pots...I've had them do that EVERY TIME over the past years at EVERY IHOP LOCATION. Well, the manager at the Seguin Tx IHOP tells my poor waitress that I'm lying...and that they NEVER allow substituting Red Pots for Hashbrowns. That's a load of pure Bull!!! The poor gal was only repeating what her manager told her and she was very obviously intimidated by the asshole...but he was WRONG! So after waiting with my girlfriend for an hour and a half for our food...we just walked out...drove 25 miles farther to San Marcos IHOP and everything was just fine there...(They gladly substituted Red Pots for my Hashbrowns without hesitation...and the manager in San Marcos didn't tell the waitress I was lying like the Seguin IHOP manager did.) read more

We just left this iHop, and I can tell you, for certain, that this will be the last time we ever waste our money there again. The only reason we went was because my children wanted pancakes, and according to the commercial, you got one free kids meal for every adult meal you purchased (we had 3 adults and 2 children). The restaurant was not busy, maybe 5 tables were occupied, and I saw at least 4 waitresses working the floor. Our waitress came quickly with our drinks, and took our order; that was the last time we saw her until we flagged her down to get our check. We got the kids meals and a waffle out very quickly...then 15 mins later some more of our food came out...then when we were almost done my father's pancakes (that came with his meal) came out. Our waffle was soggy and cold, we were NEVER checked on, and when we got the ticket it was $63!!! We were not only charged for the kids meals, but we were charged $4 for milk that apparently was not included with the kids meal. When I went to speak to the manager about all this, the scared (but very polite) kid at the front desk just asked me what was wrong and then went and spoke to someone in the kitchen about it; I wasn't allowed to speak to anyone about it. He said the discount for the kids meals were done at the register, and that the waffle would be taken off. Well, while kids do eat free, they don't drink free, because the $4 worth of milk did not come off of our check (even though he said it would). He also apologized for our waitress ignoring us; she had two other tables (one of which was sitting right next to us, and was also ignored the entire time they were there). So for 3 adults and 2 "free" kids, it was $45 for us to be ignored at iHop....$45...and that's AFTER the price of the waffle and the kid's meals were taken off. Terrible service, improperly cooked food, and ridiculous prices. Never again. read more
