Came here with my boyfriend this morning, I got the strawberry and cream crapes. He got the spicy buffalo melt. The only thing good about this restaurant this morning was the fact that the water had ice in it. The ranch was literally watered down. His chicken was most definitely two days old and 100% microwaved. The fries were practically McDonald's french fries put in the microwave after two days and they were still not as good. I love crêpes and I don't complain much but those were honestly really disgusting. The only thing that was decent was the eggs and hashbrowns which me and him ended up splitting. The ketchup bottle was practically empty and there was ketchup all over the lid. So please save yourself some time and go to Sherri's or quite literally anywhere else. My wife and I went to the Sherwood IHOP around 10 am today. We were told that there was a 15 minute wait time as there was only one server. After 30 minutes, we were seated. The very pleasant waitress brought two menus. One was glossy and colorful with photos of food. The menu had breakfast and lunch items categorized under $6 and $4. She also gave us a photocopy of a cramped menu that was hard to read. It was in an approximately 8x11 sheet of paper with poor legibility. We showed the waitress what we wanted from the $6 menu. The service was quick and pleasant. However, when our bill arrived, we were charged $11.99 for each breakfast and not the $6. A plain cup of coffee was $3.19 (and I thought Starbucks was expensive). We asked the waitress why we were charged over $11 per breakfast when we made our selection from the glossy and colorful menu that said $6. She told us that the glossy menu was the Ihoppy Hour menu. I looked at the menu again, and indeed it indicated from 2 pm to something on the top. My question is, why did you put that menu on top when we were there between 10 and 11 am? Why didn't you say anything when we ordered off that menu? Why did you have a xerox printout of a regular menu that was cramped and not user-friendly? Why the appearance of deceitful and switch and bait practice? Our bill came to over $32 for a total of four eggs, four bacon strips, two tiny portions of hashbrowns, one pancake topped with strawberries and whipped cream, and two coffee. We expected the price to be at least $11.99 less. It was the most expensive breakfast my wife and I have ever had. It will be sometime before I return to this business, if ever. The practice is shameful and appears deceitful. It makes vulnerable senior citizens like myself subjected to confusion and feel like a victim of bait and switch. The corporate office needs to investigate. I'll be sending a copy of this review to the company's CEO as this is unacceptable. read more

Today we tried the new ihop in Sherwood...well we got water about 10 minutes after we got there (1 other table had people)took order, sat about 15 minutes, the waitress then came over and said she just put the order in...50 minutes after we arrived some food comes (3 tables have people now and the table next to us has been there 30 minutes and has water) the kids food arrived, 1 is right the other is wrong, they say ok we will bring out a waffle to replace the one they messed, they never brought it, my food and the wife's come out and both are wrong, now it's over an hour, no waitress still, the busboy comes over and talks to me, sends the manager over...we still paid 26$ for 2 meals that no one ate...and one of my autistic twins left balling because he didnt get dinner...so 5 stars... read more

IHOP Sherwood. Not a bad location, not a bad set of wait staff however let me tell you about management. Specifically one woman: I'll leaver her name out of it. I have never met such a despicable, disgusting, useless manager in my life. She is very rude to her employees, even when customers are within earshot of her berating. You can tell that the employees there are frazzled 24/7 trying to please Miss Your-Highness. And I don't blame them, when you work for the wicked bi-, I mean, wicked witch of the west I am sure the work environment lacks serious positive training it's hard to do your job properly. Moving on to the tipping: Evidently when you leave a tip youre not only tipping your wait staff but also the cooks. And before you try to leave no tip understand this: the cooks get tipped regardless if you leave a tip or not. Where does their tip come from if you leave nothing you ask? Well it comes right out of the wait staffs pocket! Yes, the wait staff gets to pay 3% of the order in tips for a meal you never tipped. So at the very least tip 3%. read more

Beware if you order curbside pickup most of the time there's always someone parked at the curbside pick up spot and they won't do anything about it. Took over 10 minutes for the waitress to take our order. They were not busy by any means. Maybe 3 or 4 other tables of 2 people. Order placed (just two of us). And we waited and waited and waited a bit more more. Finally got our food. I'd say about 50-60 min from the time we walked in. Again, not busy by any means. Food was ok. Warm at best. We ate, paid and left. Not a single thanks for coming in or even a good bye. Not a single word. Even when the manager brought my card and check back she didn't even say a WORD! Ten minutes after that, an older waitress brought more coffee and took our order. We never saw her again and by 12:35pm, having no food and no service, we left money for the coffee and walked out. Holy cow, this place was just awful. My wife and I went on a moderately busy Sunday afternoon, and while it wasn't packed by any means, the restaurant seemed in complete disarray. We were seated, then waited well over 20 minutes for someone to take our order. After another 5-10 minutes, we got our waters and our coffee...or half of it, as they only brought us one coffee mug. At this point, we started paying attention to the tables around us, and on multiple occasions we watched either entirely the wrong food being brought to tables, or portions of orders coming out missing the majority of the order (the table next to us ordered two omelettes, both with hash browns and bacon, and were literally brought a single solitary omelette and were told the rest would come later!?). After waiting at our table for well over an hour, we flagged down a server to say we were leaving. She commented that our food was almost up and asked if they could at least box it up for us. The food they brought us was legitimately cold, and had clearly been sitting out for a long time. The staff was nice enough, but I honestly have never seen this level of incompetence and disarray in a restaurant before. I get that it's an IHOP, but this was wild. read more

What a cluster truck this place was. Hardly any customers in the entire place and still our table of 4 had no drinks for over 20 minutes, food was cold, no refills on coffee. What items were it initially brought out were never brought out. Couldn't find ANY wait staff yet there were 10 of them standing around in a huddle yacking to each other when we arrived. Couldn't get togo box so left with the dang plate..... never going back. This was our second time at this location and both times the service was horrid. No one in there knows what's going on. I love going out for breakfast, but the new Sherwood IHOP was probably some of the worst food I have had in years! The hash browns was a two and a half inch square saturated with cooking oil, I couldn't eat it, and the toast was cold and limp, the whole plate was beyond disappointing. My daughter said her Crêpe was okay, but would never order it again. The young gal who waited on us was very nice, the one star is for the food, not her. Such a disappointment! read more

This is my second review of IHOP. I was hopeful that it would improve once it had been open for a time. Unfortunately it has not improved and may have gotten worse. Today (Monday), my wife and I plus our two grandkids went to Ihop for lunch. I can honestly say that there was no part of the experience that was positive. We entered a mostly empty restaurant and waited to be seated. Although we were seen by staff no one came to seat us. After a lengthy wait we were asked if we had been helped and seated. Then there was a very long wait for our chance to order. Another very long wait for the delivery of food that was mediocre at best. The experience was odd enough that we discussed whether there was a real cook in the kitchen. The tough pancakes and weird presentation of dishes made it look otherwise. THERE IS SOMETHING VERY WRONG WITH THIS RESTAURANT. I would like for it to succeed, but as it currently operates, it is very unlikely to survive. Too bad. I ordered a chicken dinner which co sister of one piece of chicken which was dry and they added 2 big nuggets as they didn't have more chicken. I also ordered Swedish pancake which is supposed to be a crepe with lingonberry sauce. The lingonberry jam came in the smallest condiment container I've ever seen. The crepe wasn't a crepe but instead was like a big thin pancake folded in quarters and did not taste good. I used grub hub so the whole thing cost way more than it should have. I'm not one for high class dining but we didn't even receive decent service. We were seated and got our drinks. Then 15 mins later the server came, and then 30 minutes later our food came. My eggs came with shells , so did the French toast. I sent my eggs back and the literally removed the shells on top and sent it back out. This IHOP is just opened last week and we all understand that it may take some time to work out the kinks. At 9:00 AM on a Thursday morning it was very slow service even though there were only about 4 tables with people seated at them. The staff is friendly but slow moving. When I entered, I waited about 5 minutes until someone acknowledged me. The food was just ok, and not as tasty as what I had 2 days prior at a similar restaurant in this same town. What I found most annoying was the loud Hip Hop music playing over the loudspeakers. Too loud and not a good choice for a small country town restaurant. Stopped at IHOP this morning for breakfast and the food was good. However, our server, from the minute we walked in until we left wore her mask improperly with it hanging way under her nose and only half over her mouth. Much of the time it was down around her neck and not covering any of her face. I nicely mentioned to her that her mask had slipped and she dismissed me with "yeah I've been busy". The bus boy did a poor job cleaning tables, didn't touch the seating nor the floor. The whole restaurant was dirty. They seemed unorganized unprepared and slow. Food was perfectly fine. Typical ihop, no complaints. It's obvious that this is a new location as they're a bit disorganized but that's not why I took off a star. We were seated at a booth near the kitchen and the entire time all we heard was the kitchen lady barking orders. I probably heard the yells of "I NEED A RUNNER" about 30-40 times while we were there. I'm sure this lady runs the kitchen well but the sheer amount of yelling we had to listen to was a bit much. Definitely take a table on the opposite side of the restaurant if you come. read more

IF you WANT CRAPPY SERVICE!! Start off your order with everyone at your table having only water to drink. The waitress brings 4 small cups of water which does not take long to drink while waiting for the meal. Several waitresses pass by you would think they would say "hey you want a refill of your 6 oz of water" Nope never happens. This place is beyond over rated. Service is lacking greatly. Eventually got refills on our 6 oz waters which I was asked if I wanted a refill and all the cups at the table were completely empty. Should be a no brainer and see the empty cup and fill it up. The menu prices are very expensive. $9.99 for four cupcake pancakes which seems overpriced. Customer service starts the second you are seated sometimes while waiting for your seat. Never should it matter what you order to drink. Because I order water should not matter what type of service I get! This will be my last time going to an IHOP. Won't waste my time. We just got home from our first visit to the new ihop location in Sherwood, OR. We were incredibly disappointed. Our waiter Jake C. Was more interested in hanging out and visiting with a friend than actually helping his tables. We never got refills on our drinks until we finally asked, my husbands meal was not what he ordered and my father was missing ham from his meal. All of the meat in our meals were way over cooked and charred. This was even after we specifically asked the waiter to only cook our bacon lightly with no crisp.
