Better check your to go orders before leaving. Last week they shorted 2 sausages on a breakfast sampler order and after 5 days have NOT responded to my inquiry. It was a little slow over all, but Paulette was doing an amazing job. Maybe seemed short staffed or mismanaged teens. Paulette covered our table even when someone else was supposed to, who never even came by the table. Our food came fresh and hot! Paulette made sure of that! Great service even though it was slow! Service was terrible. Food mediocre. I will go to Shari's in Newberg over this anytime! We came into ihop for brunch. It was our first visit here. We were greeted and sat quickly. They were no busy, just typical Resturant business. Everything went downhill from there. It took a long time for anyone to take our drink order, by the time they came we Were ready to order food but they couldn't do That because it wasn't our waitress so we had to wait. Eventually she came. We placed our order, she walked around with it while she went to three other tables...finally she put it in, only to come back about 5 minutes later to inform us they couldn't fill it so we had to choose something different. Once food came it was dropped off with no question of if we'd like any condiments, no checking up on drinks or if we needed anything else. Things that had been asked for on the side, weren't. ....I finally got up to get my own ketchup, jelly and sauces. Food was already cold by that point after waiting for someone to come back to our table. THEN we sat there, forever! Waiting on the check. We had to flag down another waitress to find ours. It's a new place, so they are working out the kinks. Service is friendly but incredibly slow even in a near empty restaurant. My grandsons funny face pancake was a sloppy mess, but he still laughed at it and ate it. I think in a few weeks it will be running better and more appealing. read more

New IHOP...food ok. Service gets a 1. Granted that they have new staff, but that doesnt mean that you had to WAIT 9 minutes before a server even approached the table. Then asked for coffee..and got questioned 3 times if that's what I wanted not to mention never got water!! Placed the order, Restaurant had 5 tables, and took 16 minutes to get that. Server NEVER came back to table, not until she brought the check and that was it. Not a good start. Sorry IHOP Sherwood there are other choices. Good Luck! read more

Today was our first visit and I think it will unfortunately be our last. The food was good, but the poor service really took away from the whole experience. We had to wait several minutes to even be greeted and when we were it was not by our server but the manager which absolutely happens when busy but our server was using the register directly behind us and didn't even say "hey be right with you" or anything.We were given a half full coffee carafe which was supposed to be bottomless but was never refilled, and we had to wave our server down after about 15 min to get water. The order came out correct and like I said was good but our server didn't even come to see if we needed anything or if the food was okay until our plates were stacked in front of us. We then had to wait for our bill to be brought back for the server to argue with another customer about their bill. Wasn't a smile to be spared from any of the staff. This was the worst service I have ever experienced! It took 1 hour and 45 minutes to get the meals we ordered. They came out in parts... three of us got our omelette then 1/2 hour later the toast .. 2 of our family's order came 45 mins after I got my omelette. The manger said, 'well we did our best'. I would not recommend this restaurant to ANYONE! No apology.. no reduction from our bill! Also when we went there there were 10 people total in the restaurant. Our server said the managers were back there cooking and that they were going to be getting 'real cooks soon'. Don't waste your time or money on this ridiculous place! Not only am I happy of having an Ihop close by but also their customer service and food. Will come back again.

The location is new and a lot of young staff that are very pleasant and eager to please. Some kinks need to be worked out, but they were are all working very hard and were very kind. Our server named Jack/Jake (?) was a superstar young man!!! The cooks need more training, as food was mediocre. Overall a great experience tonight and will return :) read more

We arrive and had to peak around corner a few times before we were noticed by one of the six staff members in the corner. The woman sat us at a table, next to the one that hasn't been cleaned. (It's been 20 minutes and it's still dirty). She took our drink order and then someone else came over and did the same. We told the second one we had waters on the way... both brought us waters. The hostesses tells us the server will be with us soon.. the server we already spoke with. There is a LACK OF COMMUNICATION. We've seen about 12 staff members: including two in dress clothing. We've been at our table for almost 20 minutes. We ordered French toast and Crepes with scrambled eggs. And now here's the food, 22 minutes later. there is nobody else who was here before us, a older couple got here after we got here. The waitress is sweet, young and is being set up for failure. She's the only one serving the now three tables. Food tastes like it was under the warmer for awhile. One staff member who had been eating in corner, had two girls come in talk to him for a few and then left. It's social hour. No break room, staff out eating meals and shakes in main dining area. PS the table behind us is dirty and now there's two additional staff members here. Seem they really need to work on the over staffing and lack of knowledge/training. read more

Two weeks ago we decided to try the new location in Sherwood for breakfast. Well that was a BIG MISTAKE unless you like to wait close to an hour for your food and then have some of it still be missing. The funny part is that one of the managers offered to give us some milkshakes. Seriously?? I really think most of it had to do with the waitress. She just seemed lost and in her own world. In the 90 minutes we were there I never saw her bring any food out. It should have been a sign that the people next to us after got there got up and left because they were waiting so long.
