I am visiting Virginia for the weekend and got to our hotel late so we decided to order from postmates from IHOP I had a great interaction and received my order fast and on time. This location is probably going to be the worst IHOP I have ever been in, every time I go in, there is something that ruins the dining experience for me. My wife and I were in on September 13th around 11 am for breakfast and from the start it went downhill from there. First we get seated in a booth that had been bussed of all the dishes but nobody decided to wipe the table or seats off, my had gone to the bathroom and come back to her booth seat with all sorts of food on it, she proceeded to sweep it off as the waitress came up behind her and she complained to her about it, the waitress stood there and didn't say a word and didn't even offer to get a rag to wipe it off. We then place our order and a few minutes later the waitress brings out drinks, she sets my milk down and you can tell it had been overflowed when poured and she didn't bother to clean it up or just get a new glass so now I have to take my only napkin and wipe my glass down and the table under it. We also ordered ice teas that did not come out overflowing and streaming down the cup. So then the meal arrives except my wife's meal, the waitress tells her she will bring it out that they were just finishing it, turns out they had to remake it. They put Nutella on it after my wife had asked to not as it. This took about 5 minutes and I told my wife they made it incorrectly and she asked the waitress when she brought it if that was what happened and she confirmed it was. So we finally are able to eat our meal and we don't see our waitress again until she brought the check, never came back to check and see if everything was good, no refills on the iced teas, or even get a napkin to replace the only one I had to clean up the mess she created. In the end the service was terrible, the atmosphere and dining experience was terrible and the waitress with the lack of personality and attentiveness to a diners needs just made the whole experience bad. If it wasn't for me wanting the Spicy Poblano omelette we wouldn't have gone here. I will know better next time. read more

On the most recent visit the restaurant was freezing cold inside and the place they sat us was one a fan they said they couldn't turn off. The new premium bacon was awful. It looked like the side ends of a pork chop, it was hard to cut into and it looked nothing like the advertisement. The advertisement looks like it might actually be pork belly. I wish I could attach a picture of this so you can see what I was served. I just had a meal at this IHOP and the server got my order wrong, I asked for heated syrup and she had know idea what I was requesting. The customers across from me asked to see the manager since their server was impassive about their order complaint. Once the manager arrived she too was impassive about their concerns and once the customers left, she and the serve made disparaging remarks about their complaint right in front of me. Someone needs to access this location before they lose all of their customers. Horrible, horrible service and this was the smallest omelette I've ever had here. I've had the worst ihop experience that I've ever had since living in stafford. I placed an online order to pick up in store. My order stated in would be ready by 9:16am. I went into the store at 9:20am. The gentleman stated that my order was not yet ready. So I sat down and waited. Ten minutes later I asked the hostess the check on my food to see if it was complete. She proceeds to tell me that on Saturday's and Sunday's all online orders are curbside. It would have been helpful if the gentleman would have mentioned this to me when I first walked in the store. I proceed to my car to pull to curbside, which they had only one person working and 5 plus cars waiting on their food. The young lady came to my car at least 3 times to ask my name before telling me that my food was still not ready. At this time it is already 10:00am for an order that I placed at 9:00am. At this point I am livid because I am a 34 weeks pregnant and just wanted breakfast. Finally the young lady comes out with my food and apologizes profusely. I live less than 10 mins away from IHOP so you would expect my food to still be warm when I get home. Not only was the food I waited an hour for not warm my French toast was also over cooked and felt like I was chewing on cardboard! Why could a cook even allow that be served! Very busy! I haven't been to ihop in a while and honestly I've never been wowed by their service or food. Todays experience was much like the other times however, the staff did an excellent job controlling the large crowd in there. The wait wasn't too long, which was nice, and the food didn't take too long, but still longer than usual. Their hostess had a GREAT personality and she seemed to control the crowd very well and treated every customer with a smile on her face and she was very respectful. Our waiter seemed a little anxious and busy but because it was busy and poor guy had so many tables in his area. The food was ehh... I decided to try their egg white steak omelet and really regretted it. What can I say, You've been to one IHOP, you've been to them all. The menu isexactly the same as any other IHOP I've been to. The staff here is pretty friendly, though the noise level on a Sunday afternoon is a tad deafening. Our group waited about 30 minutes for a table, which isn't horrible for a gourp of 15 on a Sunday. The pricing is a bit steep for what you get, but again, that's IHOP across the board. This met my standards for a national chain. read more

So I have been calling to make a carry out order for the last ten minutes and the asshole answering the phone keeps answering the phone and holding it without saying hello (I can hear all the noise in the background) and then hanging up after I've said "hello, hello" several times. Now they aren't answering at all and my calls are going to voicemail. If I could get up myself and my husband weren't going over to pick up for me I'd have a few words with the manager in person about their rude ass employee. Way to fuck up someones cravings. experience was absolutely ridiculous. We got there at 11:30 were told to wait 30 minutes because only one server was on the floor. Went back at 12 & after 15-20 minutes of being told to wait at the table, we finally got our drinks. After another 30-40 minutes went by the server Jenna who was possibly very high out of her mind finally got to the table. Kept telling us to wait because she couldn't finish writing our order, though it wasn't complicated. There was 5 tables in the restaurant including us, & we were more than patient with her. The one lady that was cooking was extremely sweet with us and told us she was sorry for having to make us wait & that was probably one of the highlights of tonight because she was genuinely sympathetic. Jenna gave us the worst possible experience there and all of us were annoyed on her lacking good hospitality. We sat there 2 hours and some people got their food after 1 hr and 45 minutes of waiting. After 10 minutes go by she walks up to the table and says she forgot to ring in one of the orders, so we had to wait longer. She apologized, but you could tell she really didn't care. Our friend ended up leaving because of how annoyed she got with this server. I'm not one to write reviews like this, but this experience was just horrendous on all levels. Jenna shouldn't be left alone to handle all these tables if she can't deal with them all. There needed to be more people on the floor and in the back. This also falls on the management team for not putting enough employees on the floor. About seven minutes later, another couple was seated next to us. IHOP has always been my go-to chain breakfast place because I "know" what I can get there. I always count on them having choices for coffee creamer. (Most all others do) This one doesn't offer anything but half and half creamer.. yay for us non-dairy kids. The seating is on top of each other and feels ridiculously cramped. The only good thing about this experience was our server Sade, but even she couldn't compensate for the outdoor seating vibe. First, you can be forgotten! Sade stuck her head outside and asked if we had been waited on yet. We had told our hostess that we would take some coffee and water to save our assigned waitress the extra trip, but that didn't save any time at all. Sade was already in the middle of taking our order when the assigned waitress showed up with our drinks, and we had been waiting a while. Then there were the badly prepared orders, the nearby sewer and the persistent flies ("our electronic fly swatter/bug zapper is still broken"). Sade fixed the bill for us, but IHOP has gotten so bad over the years that it really is a shame. I remember going to IHOP in the '70s, it was a premo experience! Now? I'd rather try out any diner. I usually get the same thing every time we come to IHOP and I was disappointed to find out... 20 min after ordering... that they had run out of crepe mix and was asked if I was interested in anything else. Normally we would have left but we felt bad for our server, Vianey, because at the time we came (4:45pm), she was the only server working (she had been here since the morning) and was waiting on the whole place. As we are waiting, we hear that they had also run out of burgers, french fries, sausage and something else. I mean, that is POOR management - how do you not have enough people working and how do you run out of basic menu items!!?? Then more servers show up but still doesn't solve the shortage of food. We have now been waiting for over 40 min on our food... and when it finally comes out... it is lukewarm. Maybe it was just us but even with the other servers there, she was still the only one doing anything. I had a terrible experience with this IHOP and the server named Robin. She was just too awful and was very inefficient with time. She pressured my group to donate and if someone didn't she would put the person on the spotlight. There was clear favoritism towards people who donated and less towards who did not. Not only this, food quality was noticeably poor compared to the rest. Seen Robin elbow a person at least three times and rudely interrupted people when they were eating. Waters were not filled and needed consistent friendly reminder//request in order to get something done. She would show attitude and make excuses when clearly she's on her phone (you can check the CCTV for proof). With all due respect, how long does it take to print out a receipt/bill? I've never made a review negative or positive of any restaurant However I feel that this experience warrants a review. We ordered food at 11:50 after being at the restaurant for a half hour. we received our order, missing half, dry from sitting under the heat lamp at 12:51. After multiple complaints the manager took off HALF. The table next to us, left without receiving food. One of our guests didn't receive her food at all, one didn't receive a drink. I do realize that restaurant business is tough - but tombe told they cannot keep up with Carryout orders on top of their in house sitting is not acceptable. Simply do not take Carryout orders if you can't keep up. Worst. IHOP.ON.THE.PLANET. Seriously. Late night waitress was rude. I asked for non-runny-whites. (Runny whites=EWWW). I got runny whites. I got steak tips and they loaded the steak tips on top off half of the eggs. I asked her to just remake the one egg, and I'd just go ahead and eat it. Nope, took the whole plate back and remade it, while my wife was done with her meal by the time the new plate came back. I had also asked for white toast with butter - I got white toast (no butter). By the time the food got there, the non-buttered toast (that she'd left) was cold. Soo, maybe some new toast? Two rolled eyes and 9 minutes later, I got toast. (Hey lady, I know it's the waitresses who make the toast. So sorry to make you go out of your way to say, make another batch of toast. If you'd smattered some butter on there, you may have made a $5 tip for that. I used to wait tables for a living as well...) So, now my new plate of food was quite cold. (Fortunately, I'd eaten the steak tips at least.) I mean, what the heck? It wasn't like we were one of two customers in the whole restaurant at 1AM?
