This is hands down the slowest IHOP I have ever been too. I was told my food would be done in 10 minutes and it took almost an hour. They then messed up my order and had to re do it. What has happened to IHOP? I imagine they're trying to save money but it's gotten a little ridiculous. They hardly put any butter if at all on any toast, and they don't serve rye bread anymore, they hardly give you more than a wallet size serving of hash browns, and then they jacked up all the prices. Then they're closed a lot in the morning because the cook won't show up. I think I'm going to stick with Denny's. read more

I have never been a huge IHOP fan in the past, mainly due to just one not being around where I lived so not really knowing much about what or how their food is. I moved to south Tampa a couple years ago and started going to this location every couple months and I have never had a bad experience. The food is always amazing every time I go for both dine in and carry out - hot, order is correct, and tastes great. My boyfriend and I went Christmas night and were so thankful that places like IHOP decided to stay open during the holiday. Things were a little chaotic with lots of to go and delivery drivers but the staff seemed to handle it well and had a positive attitude the entire time. The server was awkward and went out of his way to point out an up charge for pumpkin pancakes but didn't mention the omelet we ordered was actually twice as much as the menu says. It's listed under "happy hour" but doesn't list the price for other times. I explained this to him when we cashed out, and his only response was, "I understand." But, he didn't understand. He turned around and told his coworkers as we walked out, "They thought it was happy hour." No, we didn't. I've never tipped so low honestly. Reading the reviews, I was skeptical coming here. Everyone was friendly, and the service was great. My waitress was Charmaine, and she was attentive and awesome. My daughter enjoyed the cheeseburger and I ordered the spicy poblano omelette (which was OK; I didn't care for the cheese sauce on top). I still gave 5 stars because of the service. So I have been having breakfast here every Saturday morning for two months and I have nothing but great things to say. The host/hostess is always nice and accommodating, giving you a true estimate of your wait time, not lying to you to keep you there. The waitresses are always smiling and helpful and after two visits they remembered my order and how I like my bacon (burned). There food, well it's IHop, so it's always good. Your water glass is never empty and your not constantly bothered with questions. I've hot nothing bad to say about this place and I highly recommend it if your in the area. Been here a million times going back to the 80's when this place, Bino's and Village Inn where about the only places in south Tampa open late at night. I've never had an issue, and the service and food have always been consistent. At the 3:57 in the morning, I didn't expect to wait for over 30 minutes for a sweet tea and a water, and on top of that I've been here well over an hour and still have not received any food what so ever... They've had several walk outs tonight/early morning simply because people are tired of waiting to long for their food. I personally believe the kitchen staff is just as responsible as the servers. Every bus boy is quick at everything and has helped me more then anyone else. Great place to eat very friendly staff and the food is consistently good we ate there a couple of times and enjoyed it. The baconator omelet was very good! We also ate here back in 2015 when we were here for the final four and had the same good experience. One thing to add I would not get the milkshakes we ordered 2 and they were very mediocre not cold or thick like a good milkshake. read more

Stopped in for a late breakfast/ early lunch. Breakfast is consistent with other IHOP's. Eggs cooked perfectly, pancakes delicious. My wife had the turkey club. It was huge. Turkey tasted like slow roasted not deli meat. Bacon had an apple wood smoked flavor. Served with a marbled bread. Excellent. Service was prompt, attentive, and friendly. Only negative was the coffee. Had a slight burnt taste. Just tells me they make a big urn of it and just keep it warmed. Recommend it. So this ihop is next to the hotel I was staying at during my trip to Tampa, FL. Every other ihop I have been too I have enjoyed minis this one. As I'm walking up to the door I could see the hostess in the parking lot smoking and she seen me, but yet I had to wait at least five minutes before she came in to seat me. Once seated I placed my order and waited for the food to come out. The service was ok and food came out fresh and tasted good. Once I was done eating, I waited about 10-15 mins for the waitress to come back over so I could ask for the check and a to go box, I guess she was smoking again because there were no guests she had other than me. The other waitress was taking care of her guests very well but I guess I just ended up with the one who needed to take constant breaks. The food was good but service could be a lot better. The server was unaware of what items go with particular meals without looking at the menu.
