I'll start by saying the two people with me had Greek dishes, Chicken Naousa and Chicken Souvlaki, and both had positive things to say. If we return someday I will go Greek, as I found my burger a little dry and kind of a challenge. My choice was their Dallas BBQ Cheeseburger with bacon, which I asked to be cooked medium. My plate was full with the burger itself, fries, and separately the usual burger toppings. With the onion rings and the bacon strips, I decided to not try to assemble with the toppings but just include those as I ate. The slowness of the meal was noticeable, I started with a side Caesar Salad, which took about 20 minutes to arrive.

Our waitress was very sweet with an outgoing personality. She was the only waitress and stayed on top of her tables. I ordered the Greek pork chops w/salad and she ordered the chicken dish w/soup. Everything was very fresh and yummy. The chops were moist and so flavourful. It came with mash taters and veggies. The chicken was also moist and so good. *they do offer a full bar (I didn't drink) I was very impressed that the owner stepped in to help his staff when business picked up. I don't see that often enough. Highly recommend and I will be back!

This place reminded me of a traditional diner, the kind that focuses on comfort food and a relaxed atmosphere. I ordered a basic breakfast, and everything came out quickly. The service was friendly and efficient. When I arrived, the waitress was outside taking a moment, but she was back inside and attentive by the time I was seated, which didn't impact the experience at all. The place wasn't packed, but it had a steady flow of customers. You could see the cooks working in the kitchen, and they seemed pleasant and engaged. What stood out most to me was the overall attitude of the staff. The bus Boy/Man even stopped to chat for a moment and was really friendly, which added to the welcoming and warm feel. Throughout my visit, the team consistently checked in, refilled my coffee without being asked, and treated everyone with the same level of kindness--whether it was couples, older guests, or someone like me just passing through. That kind of genuine, across-the-board hospitality is something I pay attention to, and they really delivered. This isn't a fancy spot, and it's not trying to be. If you're looking for upscale dining, you'll want to go elsewhere. But if you want a true diner experience with solid food and genuinely kind service, this place hits the mark. Even though this is a late review, I felt they deserved the recognition. I may never be back in the area, but I'd absolutely recommend stopping in if you are. It was exactly what I was looking for and if even one person gives them a try because of this, it's well deserved....side note I found the place by doing a simple search for simple diner.

Our server Julia and her co-workers were hella nice and very attentive. The constant pouring of coffee in my family's mugs and the continued checking up on us were well noted. Our breakfast? On point! Everyone enjoyed their orders, especially me. My previous trip to FL taught me that in place of the standard sausage or bacon for breakfast, I can substitute these everyday proteins with the catch of the day. During our first visit to Mom's, Basa Filet was the option but wasn't listed anywhere on the menu. The key is to always ask. My choice of Pancakes or Johnny Cakes, Eggs, and Fried Fish is always a breakfast combination I'll be seeking. Mom's is the Place!
