We nabbed one of the two handicapped parking spots in front since mom needs to be close. We walked in and it was clean and well lit, with gentle music. Lots of open booths and not too cold! We wanted waffles for dinner so we were excited. After being seated right away, our sweet waitress Letty came by and brought ua menus ans asked what drinks we would like. I ordered a milk and mom got coffee. We then had fun looking at the large menu with many choices. Letty told us kids eat for free after 3! That's good to know when my nieces come to visit with their kids (all under 12). Letty brougth our drinks right away. Mom then ordered a junior waffle that comes with eggs and bacon, as she is old and cannot eat much. I ordered a waffle meal (eggs and onions and bacon). The food came pretty quickly and we enjoyed our meal. Letty was perfect and attentive. I asked and we got a senior discount too. The waffles were delicious ans the eggs were light ans fluffy. The bacon wasnt that good. It did not taste as good as I had hoped. We finished our meal and paid about $45 for all including tax and tip.

Chicken and Waffle never disappoint. Their buttermilk pancakes are delicious too. We dined in on a Saturday lunch time and it got pretty busy, but the wait wasn't too long as other IHOPs tend to be on other locations. Though it was a lot of people service wasn't too bad. The casual vibe makes it an inviting place to dine in without being stuffy. There's a Mon-Friday All day-breakfast deal going now for $7. Will make it a stop during weekday sometime soon.

I love Ihop however if you really want to eat real Ihop food, u should go other location. Worst taste food cook here. Have to close bc disappointment a lot!! Look at the picture, what a wonderful egg omelette... haha

I haven't been to an ihop in God knows how long! Well, when you're craving diner food and this is the closest you can get... lol! We got seated promptly on a Sunday morning for 2 people and we saw plenty of open tables and booths. The service was pretty decent throughout the meal. I got the Split Decision Breakfast which came with eggs, bacon, sausage, 1 French toast, and 2 pancakes. It really did feel like the perfect happy medium for someone as indecisive as me. The only thing that would've made it perfect would've been to have a side of hash browns, but alas~ this is an imperfect world. My husband got the country fried steak and eggs (so I stole some of his potatoes). Was this the best meal I've had? Definitely not. But was this exactly what I expected from a place like ihop? Yes. Hence my rating is based on the type of food you'd expect here, the friendly service, the coffee urn they left on our table for self refills, and the open and available parking.

Back at this IHOP branch again! Now, with my mom
    Mango 2.

BTW,.. I'm craving for the pancakes AGAIN My Tres Leches pancakes were AMAZING!! I hope they won't stop making these!

Excellent food and amazing service with a very nice waitress Rosa with a smile and very polite I'm looking forward to going back soon and have her there to take my order and is there different dishes that come out on special occasions?

Yes, they have free pancake day and new dishes frequently.

I always pair it with their caramel iced latte with oat milk, which is honestly one of my favorites here. What really makes this place special, though, is the staff. Everyone is so kind, welcoming, and attentive, which makes the whole experience even better. On top of that, the café is always spotless and has such a comfortable, inviting vibe. If you're looking for a go-to spot with amazing food, great drinks, and genuinely friendly service, this is it. Highly recommend!

Today, on Mother's Day, we ordered avocado toast and quiche with salad. After waiting nearly 40 minutes, our food finally arrived -- and I was honestly shocked by the portion size and the poor quality of the avocado toast (I'll attach the photo). After politely speaking to the waiter and waiting for assistance, no one came back. I eventually had to go inside myself and speak directly to the owner. Instead of resolving the issue properly, she simply said they couldn't remake it and offered "extra avocado" instead. After waiting another 5 minutes, she told me to go sit outside and they would bring it out. They brought very tiny avocado slices. What should have been a beautiful Mother's Day experience was completely ruined. In the end, my husband had to go inside and request a refund. We are beyond disappointed and will never return. Customers deserve kindness, respect, and proper service -- and sadly this place no longer offers any of that. Avoid this place if you value good service and being treated with respect.

I was also on my lunch break from work and by the time I drove back to work , my lunch had ended already. With that said the Philly Cheesesteak sandwich was good. Decent flavor , could use a little more seasoning in my opinion. Service wasn't the best. Unfortunately , like I said , it did take a long time to get my food. It seems like they were in a rush but people who came after me got their food before me? I didn't understand that. Ambiance was okay. Not much seating inside. I also heard one of the workers on the phone saying "I have like 10 people in front looking at me." To say that in front of your customers isn't a good look. Overall , probably wouldn't come back again unless someone else wanted it. Didn't have a good experience. Food was okay. Ambiance could have been a million times better. 2 stars mostly based on service/ambiance.

The Black Cow Cafe has been part of my life since my college years, so when I came here now, it was always filled with nostalgia and a slowed pace over a calming meal. Opened in 1994 by a father and son, they embodied the community's "Main Street USA" vibe with a neighborhood diner where everyone knew each other, and you were served a soothing homemade meal during breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Did this cafe leave me with warm memories of the past, or did I cower from time's inevitable changes!? PURCHASE(S) Green Milan 16floz Drink ($7.95): My body needed something "green" and this sounded interesting. I thought it would be one of those health smoothies back in the 80s, but instead a frothy hazy light drink with a light grassy aroma and a middling leafy flavor. I didn't dislike it, but I wouldn't order it again. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&start=24&select=Uo_FrA9ezkxhIn4VnwEVtQ Vegetarian Omelette w/Country Potatoes & Sourdough Toast ($18.95): Made with avocado, cheddar cheese, mushrooms, Ortega chiles, pico de gallo, salsa ranchera, spinach, and topped with sour cream, an omelette was also on my eating bingo card. This smallish portion on the healthier side was packed with fresh goodness and fluffy eggs. The country potatoes were plentiful, nicely seasoned, but lacked the outer crisp I liked. The large sourdough toast with creamy butter and preserves rounded out the meal well. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&start=24&select=vDf51dNgOCoyIaPX_AOvrw Fish & Chips w/Coleslaw & Muffin ($17.95): Made with tempura fried Icelandic cod served with jalapeno tartar sauce, and Hawaiian coleslaw, the three fish pieces were crunchy, hot, and thick but needed more seasoning so the tarter sauce came in handy (no vinegar!). The coleslaw lacked much flavor and moisture, and the muffin was moist and warm. PARKING (Varied: FREE this instance): I found a spot in the large public lot directly above the restaurant off of Florencita Dr. Otherwise, there were metered spots along the main drag of Honolulu Ave. and all surrounding side streets- 'nuff said. ATMOSPHERE, DÉCOR, AMBIENCE A packed layout filled with tables inside and along the front sidewalk, the decor was as if grandmothers united and gave it a country farm house appeal https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&start=24&select=HWq31BkepPCR8uWcUf4Gtw with odds-and-ends and knickknacks. A minimal amount of natural lighting came in through the front glass windows and doors while a mix of recessed and track electric ceiling lights filled in the rest. There were no TVs nor could I recall any background music over all of the loud conversations. ATTIRE Totally casual, so I would normally be in a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops. OVERALL It was nice to revisit The Black Cow Cafe, and hoped to return soon. The menu was packed, the food was good, the prices were comparable, and the service was busy but manageable. Plus, I always preferred to support small local mom & pop businesses. I found very good value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $69.00 BEFORE any discounts and/or tip). And, they accepted my credit card of choice... AMEX! 4.0 STARS
