Ihop: Good pancakes... Or at least that's what I taught my nephew to say. Quality is consistent through out all ihop restaurants and that's what I like about this chain. Yes, not the best of the best but consistency is a powerful factor when choosing restaurants and repeat visits to that restaurants and this is why I repeat visits to IHOP. This particular location offers good service, good quality, keeps consistency and process aren't half bad for what you get. This time I tried the wheat pancakes which a were a bit dense for my taste but were still good. I also had my fav dish, the steak omelette which was goooood. I like their splash berry drink which is a mix of orange Juice, sprite and strawberrys. What I like more is that I can have as many refills as I want. My wife orders a hot chocolate and to our suprise they stop serving a free one time refill on those. We were saddened. Overall I recommend this particular location. read more

People are so disorganized. Servers passing by us doing nothing and not taking our orders. I finally, called on a male servers who is rude and ask him to take our order. He brought us the coffee without spoon , sugar and creamer and left. Ad experience . Not worth the money we paid for. Food is good but the staff are not well-managed. This place has the best food and the service is phenomenal. Gilberto and Sebastian ARE A GODSEND! We came in to pick up an order that we accidentally placed at a different IHOP. We were on a strict timeline and needed food ASAP. They took our order down (about five different dinners) and they got all of it done with perfection in about ten minutes. I'm blown away! Stopped by for breakfast Country Omelette was terrible. Hash browns inside were burnt and appeared to be stuck together for a while. Omelette was drenched in sour cream that looked pretty bad. I don't frequent the IHOP all that often as I'm not a huge chain restaurant guy, but we came here before trick or treating on Halloween as they had free pancake meals for the kids, and all of my kids are huge pancake fans so this was a pretty easy sell. This location in Tujunga actually makes the community look better as it's not the nicest kept area of Los Angeles so that already gave IHOP a star. I'm hoping the day we went was an exception but there was a rank sewage smell going into the restaurant which I was expecting was going to smell like pancakes, coffee, and bacon. There weren't very many people in the restaurant at the time so we were seated fairly quickly. We came with some of our friends and their kids so we had a kids table, and an adult table with infants. It was a bit squishy, but we liked where we were sat as it was in a corner and easy to control both tables. I ordered a burger, the wife got an omelette and the kids got their pancake meal of choice. The food took quite a long time to come out which was a bit surprising since the restaurant wasn't full. The burger was A-OK. The portion was exactly what it should have been. Not so big I felt obese walking out, but not so small I was eating sugar packets to fill me up. Proper portion sizes means proper pricing and I think this is a great place for younger middle-class families to go for a meal once in awhile. I have been a regular at this restaurant since it opened. Yes, they have had some good and bad servers but overall it's been good. I missed going to the restaurant because of covid and ordered take out. I thought I am going to support this restaurant while this is going on. Once the restaurant opened I started to go back. I went there last Saturday for breakfast on 3/20 everything was great. Went back Sunday 3/21 for breakfast again everything was great. Came back for lunch and that is when everything stopped being great. My wife and I got a turkey sandwich special. When we got our sandwich and bit into it, it tasted wrong so we looked at it and noticed it was a BLT sandwich. We called Jackie the waitress helping us and mentioned to her about our sandwich. You would think that we would get a fresh sandwich, right? But Jackie took our sandwich and told the cook in Spanish that the sandwich was wrong and just to put turkey on it because we would not notice it. Unfortunately for Jackie, I heard what she said and I speak perfect Spanish. This waitress is lazy and needs more training to be a better server. I did talk to the manager she offered to get us a free meal next time we came in. I told her it is not about the money it is about getting our order right, that is why we go to a restaurant to get what we want and to get good, fresh food. I have called the corporation but they are not answering phones at all so I called the restaurant the next day, spoke to the regional manager, I hope she does something about workers like Jackie, if not they will keep losing regular customers like us. This is my late night go-to! Whether it is after coming back from the bar, on my way home from work, or even after a wedding party where I've ate nothing at the venue. Shocking, I cannot say no to food. Anyway, shoutout to the graveyard shift server at this Ihop location, Sarkis! He always hooks it up for us and leaves our stomachs full and happy! Usually I start craving things around 1-2am which is when I'll wander into here with my group. Love it in the middle of the night, the restaurant is pretty much empty, except for the occasional drunks, or weird sketchy people of Tujunga that fall asleep at Ihop after the most amazing meal of their life, other than that its quiet and chill. Plenty of parking, since it is located in a plaza! As of a drink, I never crave the usual coffee, tea, juice thing, I always get the Splashberry! Sweet but refreshing drink, and free refills! For your sweet tooth: I recommend the Stuffed French Toast or the Banana Nutella Crepe! Last time I went there, I ordered a Spicy Ranch Chicken Burger with a very interesting mix of sauteed green peppers, onions, and other ingredients that tasted close to home for me interestingly enough. For Breakfast: I recommend the Split Decision - which is eggs (Your choice of style, my favorite is {"real eggs" scrambled}, french toast, sausages and bacon! A little bit of everything! Also a side of pancakes. Sarkis knows what I want, I don't even have to look at the menu. I just walk in and get my food in a matter of 5 minutes. I really hate to give this place only 2 stars, but it's necessary. :( The lovely wait staff is a 5 star, for sure, I want to add. BUT - nothing on the plate is ever quite right, and NEVER has all the food on the plate been fully heated. It's a hit and miss experience if you are ordering anything other than an omelette. The veggies are never quite right - underdone and cold, usually. The combination meals (for example, shrimp and steak) are really over the heads of the kitchen staff. The shrimp was limp and under cooked while the steak was overcooked and beyond well done. How does that happen? The missing ingredient is quality control, and that usually is a management problem - someone in charge is either incompetent, lazy, or both. And bad management will ALWAYS show up in the delivery of the product/service. And it sure does in this location. I doubt I'll go back, and that's a shame as I've been a big fan of iHop for many decades. read more

I came to this restaurant on a busy day and even with it being so busy food came out fast. I live close by so this place is almost my go to when it comes to late nights and whenever I'm craving breakfast which is all the time xD The only problems I had were that I could hear the staff cursing in the kitchen. I've been wanting to try the iced coffee for a while and it was very sweet even with mixing. I have a bit of OCD so whenever I see the syrup bottles a mess it bothers me. They messed up my order but we just told them and they fixed it real quick. Overall I still will come to this place since it has always been a favorite of mine. I come here once a month. Every time I do the food is consistent. I've noticed they have upped the prices and cut portions on there hash browns, since I was here last. "IHOP" to be coming back to this IHOP soon and often. My wife and I came here to eat with our kids at 9 AM on a Sunday morning. We were promptly seated (but 1.5 hrs later as we were leaving, the line was out the door). I got the split decision and my wife got the strawberry banana french toast. I got a coffee, she got hot chocolate and we shared a side of hash browns. We had a coupon for buy one entree plus two drinks, get one entree off (up to $8) -- so our entire meal came out to $25 with tax -- not a bad deal at ALL. Mmmm... everything was so scrumptious and I LOVE breakfast foods so much. I couldn't decide on pancakes or french toast so I got both. Drizzled with syrup and butter, I gladly succumb to my taste buds now in exchange for impending heart attack down the line. Fresh eggs sunny side up and sausages, perfectly cooked. The perfect blend of sweet and savory. Everything came in generous portions so needless to say, notches had to be loosened on the belt. So stuffed I had to relieve myself so I visited the little boy's room. It was very clean! The ONLY complaint I have is their coffee. The jug we got was seriously watered down and did not taste good at all. We asked for another jug, the next one tasted better but it's not their best. read more

I have been here 4 times and every single time the service has been wonderful! The staff here is super friendly and great at keeping your coffee (or juice or milk or whichever) cup full and making sure you're satisfied. The one thing I really like is the All You Can Eat specials they always have for their pancakes. In fact I went there this morning and had the AYCE pancake special with scrambled eggs & hashbrowns. I have been to IHOP a fair few times before - overall though this really was one of the better experiences I have had. Service was truly brilliant. I can't speak highly enough of Juan G. When I walked in I got greeted by multiple employees with smiles (I went for lunch on a Friday). Food was pretty good quality. I really recommend the belgium waffles. Chicken was crispy and hot too. Came to this ihop for breakfast, and was actually impressed. The staff was very attentive from the host to our server. Our server was Heather and she was awesome. She gave above great service. I ordered the chicken and waffles and it was very good. Heather made sure to ask what sauces I would like and double checked our table to make sure that our order was correct. This was a horrible experience. My co-workers and I decided to give IHOP a chance to change things up but we shouldn't have. The service was horrible, the hostess was rude, the food took too long and was too bland.
