I was a "regular" at Ike's old location several years back. I've moved to another state but when back in Michigan last week, I was delighted to have the chance to visit Ike's once again. The "new" location is a beautiful building. They were not busy on the Thursday evening before 4th of July weekend. We were seated right away and ordered fattoush, tabouleh, and a Greek sampler. Without exception the food was delicious and well prepared. And don't overlook the fresh-from-the-oven hot pita! My family has been going to Ike's for years. Ike's catered my daughter baptism, my fathers 50th birthday and my nephews graduation party. I am however disappointed in their customer service we recently received. This was one of my dad's favorite restaurants so when he passed we decided to have the luncheon there after his funeral. We were charged an additional $65.00 for using a credit card. When we spoke to them about waiving this fee they said no. The credit card companies state that this is frowned upon but legal. I can't believe this is a good way to do business. I will not be giving Ike anymore of my business. read more

Delicious food, beautifully decorated, great waitstaff, and perfect price! I've been here numerous times. I'd have to say this is the best place to go for a fattoush salad. Had that this afternoon for lunch along with a side of garlic sauce. Everything was great. The other two guests that were with me had a chicken sandwich with fries, and the other had a Mandarin chicken salad. Everything was perfect. Their smoothies are also amazing! read more

This place is amazing!!!!!!! I attended a meeting here several years ago and remembered how good the food was. I happened to be in the area today and decided to stop in. I had the chicken Shwarma combo that was enough to feed 2! This place is extremely clean, with delicious food, and excellent service from a beautiful wait staff. No change. I was here a few days ago for lunch. Waiter was inattentive. He care more about flirting with the females than waiting on a table of men. Food was so-so. Schwarma was dry, salad was average. I honestly don't see any big deal to warrant a return. Disappointed and unimpressed. read more

We took our family there for the first time tonight. The food was excellent! It was a little fancy, probably won't take the kids back until they're older but very nice for the parents. Prices were moderate, about $16 for a dinner. The vegetable soup was the best I've ever had, although everything we ordered was outstanding. My wedding shower was at Ike's last Sunday. Ike was AMAZING to work with, and went above and beyond to accomodate all of our requests and needs. The servers were just as helpful in setting up, serving the guests & cleaning up. I actually even saw one of the servers helping a guest carry in their gift ! Everyone we came in contact with at Ike's was fabulous and friendly. On top of the wonderful service, the food was excellent as well. We had the fresh hot baked bread, hummus & garlic dips, as well as chicken noodle soup (which was excellent, homemade, and came out piping hot!), and entree salads with chicken (we let our guests choose from the fatoosh, caesar, or walnut salad). THEY WERE ALL SOOO GOOD!! And the portions were HUGE for the price! Chicken was really good and juicy too! And the room was beautiful and clean! And nice big, clean bathrooms! Couldn't have picked a better place to have my shower. We will be telling everyone about Ike's and will use their banquet facility for all of our special events from now on! Very subpar when compared to Middle Eastern Restaurants like La Saj in Sterling Heights, and Cedar Grill is Troy. Those ones are outstanding do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. read more

My smoothie was warm, the soup is served in an expresso cup, and I'm still tasting the sand from my stuffed grape leaves.

Food and service was pretty darn good. A little pricey, but for the portion size was a nice treat. Leftovers the next day were just as good. I appreciated that our server wrapped up our leftovers instead of just handing us the to go containers. We've been going to Ike's far over a year and have loved it every time. last night was my wife's birthday so we invited a few friends and asked then to spread the word. I'kes had a room set up for us when we got there to accommodate the 20+ people we expected. When 70 people showed Ike's staff just set up another room, assigned more staff and took GREAT care of us all night. Everyone loved the food, we'll DEFINITELY go back!!! read more

I gave Ike's a three star rating mainly because of the price. Yes their food is wonderful, authentic, and fresh, but for me and my girlfriend to go here, it costs us $60. Just a little out of my price range when I'm only 19. Personally I'd rather go to Palm Palace or Bridgett's Cafe' and get the same food for about $20 less. Haven't been to Ike's in a couple years. Loved their vegetarian lasagne so of course ordered it again. Totally different now. Very skimpy on the filling, really thick lasagne pasta and very hard, sauce very spicy. Most of it was just the pasta. Told the waitress it was not the same and she offered to get me another piece, like that would make a difference. Hardly ate any of it. Nothing taken off the bill, no offer of a different meal. Asked for the lentil soup I originally planned to take home. Very lemony tasting. Took maybe three sips. $13 shot to hell. Don't plan to go back. Forgot to mention that the baba ganoush and garlic were good. Pita bread was not hot out of the oven like it used to be. Damn, I miss the old Lashish. read more

I've been here a couple times and their food has been excellent every time! Salmon... lemon chicken... the few dishes I've had have been great. I don't remember service so much but prices seemed to match the food as well, everything was decently priced. However if you are thinking about throwing a party/shower here and rent out the banquet hall, that was a different story for me. I had planned a shower here for a family member. We invited around 60 people, however a lot of the people lived out of state and we weren't sure yet exactly how many people could make it. They saved us the north room (one of the bigger rooms), and told me that someone would call me two weeks before to plan out the menu. I was so busy with all the other planning that a couple days before the shower, I realized no one had called me to set the menu. I gave them a call and a woman answered the phone, I explained that I was having a shower there in a couple days and I needed to plan out the menu. She said in such a snotty voice, "well you have to know what you want first" ... I did... that's why I was calling? She acted completely annoyed that I was calling her and bothering her about it, but she asked how many people we would have... I told her we only had 30. She told me that wasn't going to work and we couldn't have it there. When it's a couple days before the event and someone tells you you can't have it there... so wrong. I asked to talk to the manager and he said the minimum number of people is 35 and since I had 30 I couldn't have it there. He didn't give me any options or try to help me out with this. When I questioned him about it- saying it was way too close to the date and asked why he couldn't do this for me, all he said was he could have booked a bigger party and made more money off of it. Wow! I would have backed out right there and never give them my business again but I told him I would pay for the extra 5 meals, and as long as money is involved then I guess that was fine. 33 people showed up, so I only paid for two extra and the chef told us we could come back the next day for 2 free meals. The day of the shower, we had to do everything, no one was there to help us. As people were arriving, we were rushed to sit down and get started. They brought the food out, it was delicious however our waiter was awful... no personality and very rude. No one kept up with drinks, we had to run behind the bar and get them ourselves. We had very poor service that day but luckily the rest of the shower went well. My mom and I actually went back the next day since they owed us two free meals... again, good food and service however they gave us a really hard time when the bill came and we reminded them of what they said the day before. I wouldn't throw any other party here again... I actually haven't been here since. I do give it a 3 star though because it is a good place to dine it but management just seemed rude and money hungry. read more

Typically this place is ok and we visit here for lunch once or twice a month. I just booked a function here last week and although the waitress we had (Julie) was on top of things...the walnut chicken salad was horrible. A couple pieces of the chicken had the texture of not being cooked. I couldn't eat a bite. Sorry Ike, but we spend alot of money for bookings at your facility for party events. Why shouldn't the price of all your buffet menu's be consistant be it funeral or showers? read more

We had reservation a 2:00pm we got seated at 3:00 for their mother's day brunch. We finally got up to go and get some food and we waited 45 minutes to get some food. Ike's is a large restaurant that has continually expanded over the years. This means that the menu is too large; therefore, some menu items are better and others worse. That choice is also an asset if you know what is food is good. They specialize in Greek/Lebanese cuisine. Don't bother with the other types of cuisines -- they're not as good. It is true that their overall food quality has decreased as they have expanded their menu and franchise but for the Sterling Heights/Shelby Twshp areas it still has some of the best Lebanse fare. The prices vary with cheap shwarmas at $5 to $12 shish kebobs to $17 full rack of baby back ribs. It is very easy to get to and find parking. You almost never have to wait and the wait staff is quick and friendly. It is a good place because it mostly has good food, there's something for everyone, it is easy to get to and park, and it has a professional staff. To be better they need to improve the quality of food and clean the restaurant more often. read more
