My only beef is the owner needs to update the menu prices and not to be false advertising the menu prices! Why you no change?! Just use some white out or some tape and change the prices since $1 is a big jump compared to some bubble gum change. When i asked why is the price more the server replied taxes, oh so you double taxed me? Just fix it doesn't cost money just takes time to mark to menus. Side note- ask for some parmigiono cheese and handed basic American style shaker cheese and peppers not really an Italian spot but again not bad pasta. Unfortunately, we didn't get the luxury of making that choice. We were hit with a surprised $14 bottled water charge. Ok so this is my second review, only because I've been telling everybody about this place. So far we've (my spouse and I) had coworkers, family and friends go and enjoy this experience. The census is in, we will all be going back. The DTLA location was also seen inside. I just love that they keep the establishment small. So they don't give up on quality. My last meal with il Bambino was nothing other than perfect. The chef/owner was very hospitable and served us family style. We were a party of 7 on that day and we all ordered something different. You know the place is good when you're walking out eating the last slice of pizza. I think my kids asked for some bread to go. In the same container, we added oil and balsamic vinegar. Let's just say, we no longer have to worry about eating Italian style food. We will just order from il Bambino. Gracias a todos. See you soon jefe. The table bread was burnt, the AC barely worked, the calamari was bland, the tagliatelle didn't have enough chicken and the carbonara was too salty. It was located in a bad area and the inside was run down. I knew this ahead of time, but in Los Angeles that usually means the food is excellent. This place was an exception. Seating was cramped. They also had a giant half of a parmesan wheel on display under their soccer game (that stopped working multiple times during our visit) within 2 feet of our table (and 2 other tables). No covering, no sneeze guards, just chilling there exposed. I asked if it was decoration, because surely that's not meant to be eaten if it's stored like that. My boyfriend and I walked into this little hole in the wall. I came in with high expectations based on the reviews and the photos of the food. We walked out, $60 poorer and very disappointed. We both ordered the fettuccine alfredo with chicken. When our plates arrived, they looked decent until we took our first bites. The noodles were very undercooked, the "alfredo sauce" was thick and gloopy, and tasted like the white Cheddar Kraft Mac n Cheese sauce. Very processed, and such a disgusting taste that I didn't even finish a quarter of the plate. My boyfriend said he just shoveled it down because it was there and he was hungry, but he ended up with a stomach ache in the middle of the night and was in the bathroom for quite a while. The waiter who served us was nice, but he was the only one working the tables. There were already 5 other tables with people when we came in, and it took him a while to bring the menus. He did notice our table was dirty from the previous guest and cleaned it up for us though. Overall, I would never come back here again. The food is way too overpriced and the taste was terrible. Oh, one last thing, parking is horrible, so be ready to circle around till you find a spot, or walk a few blocks. read more

The sauces were good and the portions were pretty big. But in their seafood pasta, they used frozen seafood mix that you can find at grocery markets, which was odd.
