Haven't been to this location but visited when they were located in DTLA. Loved it. Delicious food. Hole in the wall spot for great Italian food. I will visit soon.
Amazing cozy little place, the service is very attentive and the food is delicious and quality without seeming overly commercial. We always had filled cups, whatever cutlery or etc we needed, and they didn't hesitate to suggest better options from their experience once you communicated what you wanted. I enjoy their stew ciopinn here the most and always get it, I have tasted their other pasta offerings from my fellow diners and everything tasted good. We also enjoyed their panna cotta dessert the berry reduction sourness with the sweet creamy panna cotta was a very nice end to the meal. Parking is very difficult though, they have an alley mostly for staff cars and there is no street parking, we often have to park blocks away and walk over. It is also easy to miss the restaurant entrance from the road if you are unfamiliar with the area.

I loved the homey-ness of Colori and that it's family owned, you just can't beat that. My son wanted to get the bruschetta which was absolutely delicious and so addicting. He also got the carbonara and we both enjoyed it however agreed we would want to try other items on the menu next time as well as get something for dessert so stay tuned for part 2!
I ordered delivery from this place. My food had hair all over the chicken and pasta. This is gross and unacceptable in any food establishment. Everything from the chicken and pasta were organized in the container properly. So this made me realized the hair (multiple) on top and in the chicken were from the restaurant itself. Guys please check your food before eating it at this place. I ended up throwing everything I ordered from here in the trash. I will never order or come back here again.

I've lived nearby for a while and was surprised I'd never come across it, though I can see how it might go unnoticed. Still, it's a hidden gem and absolutely adorable for what it is. This cozy, rustic Italian spot is tucked between a plaza and a Dollar Tree. As you walk in, you're warmly greeted by a sweet couple who I believe are the owners. The lush greenery and beautiful mural inside made me feel like I had stepped out of LA for a moment and surprised that this was here all along. I ordered the shrimp carbonara. The pasta was perfectly al dente, and the sauce had great consistency without being too heavy or mushy. As far as the shrimp goes, it was cooked just right--tender and not rubbery. I also sampled a few bites of my friend's Lasagna De La Nonna. It was rich and hearty but definitely on the heavier side. However, you can clearly taste that it was made with care and quality ingredients. Another great perk about this restaurant is that they allow you to bring your own wine with no corkage fee, which is always a plus especially when enjoying with delicious Italian dishes. One last thing I would like to say is that the parking is quite limited. There's a narrow lot that's tricky to navigate, especially if someone parks behind you, so I'd suggest looking for street parking nearby instead. I'd absolutely recommend this place to anyone and I'm already looking forward to bringing more friends and family here next time. Owners are very good people. Their food is cooked with herbs from their garden and everything is fresh. It's a nice small quaint restaurant straight from Italia. Went with family to celebrate birthdays and had an amazing culinary experience. I had the fettuccini salmon linguini, barrata, and some cannolis. I loved the fettuccini salmon linguini. I wanted to keep eating it. Had such a subtle hint of curry and the sauce was light and noodles had a nice bite to it. The burrata was so fresh. Cannolis were chefs kiss! Would gladly come back again for more! 10/10 would recommend!
This is officially one of my favorite Italian restaurants in LA. Granted, I haven't explored the Italian food scene as much as I would like but it has to be the best mom-and-pop shop I've visited. I went the basic route and ordered the fettuccine alfredo with an incredibly buttery heavy cream sauce. At the time I ordered, I didn't realize it didn't come with any protein so I ordered chicken on the side afterward and added it on top. I don't know how they did it but the chicken was very soft and tender. I also tried the spaghetti al pesto which wasn't as oily as most pesto pasta so I enjoyed it. I was pretty full by the end since I also snacked on some of the complimentary bread. They have a great selection of daily specials too so make sure to ask if you want an off-menu item. The customer service was great since everyone was inviting and they checked up on us to make sure the table was doing well.
It's a small quiet place, with a really friendly guy. They give you free sourdough, which I asked for another basket and got some. The food takes a LONG time for it to come out... like a VERY VERY long time. But it's nice to just sit and chat, I guess. I've also read it's BYO alcohol, which I need to find out next time before I go. & maybe order ahead if I can, too. - Meatballs 5/5 Very very delicious meatballs with fresh tasting tomato sauce. Eat it with the free sourdough they give!! Perfect with the red pepper flakes (ask for some). - Spaghetti alla vongole 1.7/5 Honestly doesn't really taste like much. This was pretty disappointing, would avoid. - Lasagna 5/5 Really really good hearty lasagna. Unfortunately parking is VERY hard to find.

We were looking for a good dinner treat while we were visiting our son, who is a student at USC. This lovely little spot blew us away! Our son keeps asking when we are going back.

I ordered the carbonara with chicken, the risotto with salmon, and the bruschetta. The flavors on everything were amazing. I cannot complain. My complaint comes from the add in salmon for the risotto. You pay $9 for salmon to be added on but it's the thinnest, smallest piece of salmon. They may even be baby salmon, idk, but they should be ashamed to serve it. I would order again and just skip the salmon. See photo
Wow! The best Italian food at any price! Still family owned and operated and the family takes great pride in their establishment. A tucked away gem, and worth the deep dive on Yelp. This will definitely become your go to pasta place. Do yourself a favor. Eat here!
Super cute little spot in a weird spot, but food is delicious and service is super friendly. Will preface this by saying we were a larger group, so we spoke to the owner directly to put together a menu. She's great, but a tad slow at replying sometimes. The food is amazing!! We had the bruschetta, calamari steak (super tender), and the cioppino to start. The cioppino was so big the grip thought that was the end of the meal! Following the starters, we had meatballs (very meaty and not a lot of filler), fettuccine Alfredo (creamy, but not as heavy as you think), spaghetti bolognese (a little more herby), chicken marsala (delicious), and garlic broccoli (super light and not oily at all, plus not overcooked). Finished with tiramisu and ricotta cheesecake for dessert; they said the desserts and very small, they're not! Tiramisu was delicious and the cheesecake was like a Japanese soufflé cheesecake. Street parking wasn't too hard to find, will definitely be back. They also have online ordering! read more

I used to order from this other Italian spot in Culver City but they shiut down so I decided to give this establishment a try. I ordered the cabonara and bruschetta. This easily was the worse Italian meal ive ever had. The cabonara tasted like spaghetti noodles with some off the grocery shelf Alfredo sauce. There was no egg. Even the bacon peices tasted old/lacked flavor. The bread for the bruschetta was so hard I think it sharpened my teeth. Super disappointing. read more

I'm truly happy that Colori Kitchen continues to thrive, even after moving locations. I started patronising the erstwhile downtown location in 2010. Their food and service has been consistently excellent. I have always apprecited the no-corkage-fee BYOW policy - it's so lovely to pop in with a favourite bottle of wine to enjoy with a quality Italian meal. The sauces are flavourful, the bread is soft and tasty, the pasta is fresh and delicious. I've always been there when it's packed, but it's never obnoxiously noisy and service is always friendly and efficient, no matter how busy it is. I describe Colori as a "hole in the wall", but I mean it affectionately - and I have recommended them to countless friends over the years as one of the best Italian spots in L.A. It's cosy, high-quality, and the perfect spot for a date night or outing with a group of friends. read more

I have been gate keeping this place!. I just can't no more . All I can do is rant and rave of this place! Authentic! The owners are italian and put love in to every dish. Especially thier desserts! Now a different sort of WOW. I have never done this but I need to update my review from 5 stars to 1 star. We had not been since they changed locations and decided to venture out to the new location. I made a reservation and we got ready and headed out. It was typical LA traffic, so unfortunately we were 15 minutes late for the reservation, which was set for 7:30. When we arrived after the long drive, we were told they would not do dine in and given a note that they changed their hours. However they were still serving take-out. The website and all sources say 8:30 closing time. We'll never be back! read more

Not sure how place has 4 stars. There is decent about the food ordered meatball spaghetti. Salt thats all I tasted salt with tomato. My Order did not come with a piece of bread maybe some parmesan nothing. What they charge doesn't match quality nor flavor of food. Will not order again. read more

Visited for lunch with colleagues and were warmly greeted as the only guests at the time. I ordered the Spaghetti Vongole with red sauce -- the price was a little high for a typical lunch and the wait was slightly longer than usual, but the dish was excellent: perfectly al dente pasta with fresh, flavorful clams. The sour bread with oil and vinegar complemented the meal nicely. The only drawback was the limited parking -- the narrow alley is difficult to navigate, so I strongly recommend finding street parking instead. read more

Questo ristorante è davvero delizioso e bellissimo! i ravioli di zucca mi hanno fatto piangere di felicità. A mio marito sono piaciuti gli spaghetti al pesto. Abbiamo condiviso un ordine di polpette. Pretty good lasagna!! At first bite, it was amazing but after I got halfway through, it was getting to be a bit too dense and I had run out of sauce. I ran out of the sauce because it was delicious!! Best sauce I've had in my lasagna in a very long time. Also love that you can add some meatballs to the dish. Will definitely return! Decor was very homey and cozy and service was great! read more
