1st - they told me not would be 30 minutes and it was an hour. 2nd - the pizza was just ok. in prior years I've been here the crust was amazingly good. this time it was just so so. 3rd - this pizza was maybe as good as Dominos but i could argue it wasn't. which leads me to cost. 4th - my small make your own pizza in total was $28. I agreed to that. What I didn't realize was how small it was. Id call it 10 inches - 4 pieces. I could've gotten a large at Dominos for $9.99 (which I did a week later). Such a nice hole in the wall Italian restaurant. I like how it is secluded and has top notch service. The food came out fairly fast and it's nice how most of the entrees come with two salad options and some rolls. The food was yummy too! All the staff were so friendly! The kids wanted juice, but they didn't have any, so we had to go to the neighboring place to get juice for them. They only cleared the table when we asked the waiter to do so. The food is not worth the price! Our group bought burgers for $16 and fries were an extra charge. The burgers were dry and the fries were actually better than the burger. We bought a $18 small pepperoni pizza that had a great crust. (I personally felt it lacked sauce.) We also paid $32 for a MEDIUM pizza that was 1/2 pep and 1/2 supreme-- Ridiculous! We also bought a $24 Chicken Alfredo that was not great. The chicken lacked seasoning and I've made better sauce at home. It came with a small Caesar salad that tasted horrible, liked the lettuce wasn't washed. The mozzarella sticks were good. They don't offer free tap water. They only have bottled and it was $2. The ambience was good. The wait was long but the service decent. I would not come again and I wouldn't recommend when there are other pizza joints around the area. They included tip but set the receipt up so you can add an additional tip. So dishonest, in my opinion. I write this as I lament over the lack of good pasta and Italian in Sunny Isles Beach. A year ago I ate at Il Ponte Vecchio and was served a thinned out, watery spaghetti alla vodka. I didn't say anything then- and restaurants need to realize that most customers aren't going to say anything, they just will never come back. I am one of those customers but I am rearing my head more than a year later because every time I pass this place I think "what a shame" at the opportunity these folks are passing up on. Not one person I know in this city has recommended them, I have only heard of disappointing experiences like mine. They are located in a beautiful and hungry community full of New Yorkers and internationals- they should be out here reaping delicious success and yet they have settled for mediocrity. The people of Sunny Isles deserve better and can cook better- Il Ponte Vecchio may do fine enough making pizzas for the beach goers- But guys, you have a bunch of pasta foodies in this town passing you up because you've settled for subpar. I would love to see a push on your Yelp and social media with some new photos that show a dedication to delicious food and FRESH ingredients. Such a hidden gem! We are there yesterday. Their chicken parmesan was so good and staff was amazing.

We arrived right at opening time, noon on a Sunday. The owner politely greeted us, set us up at an outdoor table, took our order and served us. He was pleasant and speedy. The Stromboli was the BEST we have ever had! The perfect amount of garlic, pepperoni and cheese. Baked to a golden crisp. We went here one night and although busy the waitress was great and the food was good. She kept checking in on us and made sure we had everything we needed and drinks. We ordered salad, 2 pizzas and chicken Alfredo it was all very good. I would have recommended it to anyone. So good that we went back again... Decided to go back another night and it was horrible. Ordered a salad and there was a brown wet full paper towel mix in that we pulled out of the salad. The pizza was very greasy and crust was so thin you couldn't pick up a piece of pizza. This time we had a different waitress we ate dinner with no drinks and after waiting 20 minutes for the bill we went to the counter to pay like another couple who had been waiting to pay forever and she was rude and acted annoyed.
