I've been here a few times and it's always a delight. The eclectic ambience is cozy and fun, the service is always on point and the food is amazing. This time almost all the pastas had a crispy sage on the top. That was really delightful and such a nice touch. There were five of us so we ordered quite a few dishes off the menu and everything was fantastic: fish crudo (fresh and tasty), beets, greens, focaccia bread, salad, agnolotti, tagliatelle, lamb, and oh the desserts! I highly recommend this place, the flavors are so much more adventurous and creative than the average Italian restaurant, and I love it.

We had dinner reservations here for my birthday and I'm so glad we did. Overall ambiance and service is really nice! There were so many good options on the menu but we narrowed it down to 6 items between my boyfriend and I. Hokkaido Scallop Crudo, the most fresh tasting scallops I've ever had tbh. Root Chicory Salad, I omitted the bleu cheese topping but there was some in the dressing and honestly it was still tasty as someone who HATES bleu cheese. The apple slices and hazelnuts really compliments the bitterness of the chicory as well. Both the Agnolotti and Papparadelle were amazing!! Portion size looked a little small but it's actually very filling. We added a side of their housemade grilled focaccia to dip in the pasta sauces. Absolutely delicious I believe the Slow Roasted Leg of Lamb was one of their specials, flavors were good but the meat was a little tougher than expected. We said no to dessert since we were so full, but our server Chad sent us their Affogato on the house for my birthday! So sweet of him, it was the perfect meal ender. Vanilla gelato with an aerated hot chocolate on top, it tastes like a chocolate lava cake but without the cake. Definitely recommend!!! I will be coming back again hehe

Friendly service and welcoming atmosphere. The three of ordered family style to try more dishes. The crispy octopus was very tender, and prepared very slightly breaded and fried. Presentation was also beautiful. Burrata had nice accompaniment of figs and grapes flavor combinations which that I didn't expect but worked really well together. Agnolotti looked like an appetizer size at first glance but turned out to be just the right portion given its richness. It was one of my favorites bites of the night given the amazing mushroom, sauce full of umami flavors and the pillowy stuffed pasta. Duck was good but not my favorite. Bourbon-caramel semifreddo was a huge portion enough to feed three! Canoli had a nice citrus note but shells were a bit too flaky. Vanilla gelato was good with the olive oil and sea salt. Definitely recommend.

Booked a spot on their patio here recently just for a casual Saturday night out to enjoy the warm weather. Seattle really loves their Italian restaurants - I'm sorta meh about it but figure I can get a good pasta dish and enjoy the weather. Hot damn, was I in for a surprise! Inside, to me, feels like a Berkeley(CA) cafe - lots of plants and warm/casual vibe to it, with a peek into the kitchen. Out back on the patio was great for summer. Cocktails are a little on the high side price-wise, but we're good. So far, so good - nice night out. Then the food came...just wow, these guys are aiming way higher than I expected! Handmade burrata looked and tasted great - to the degree that my wife has been studying my pics so she could reproduce lol. Scallop crudo was equally good and disappeared quickly. The grilled foccacia is a must-have, and our waiter recommended the roasted corn and mascarpone scarpinocc and just WOW I'm glad he did. Imagine a Tootsie-roll with delicate fresh-made pasta for the wrapper, wrapping a chunk of melt-in-your-mouth mascarpone. This is the best pasta dish I've had in Seattle, and probably in the top two or three I've had ever. To me, this place is a sleeper. I don't know what's with the two and three star reviews. I'm recommending it highly to friends, and looking for excuses to go again.

We went here for the tasting menu, realizing we had been here last maybe 3-4 years ago! We started with cocktails: the special D'Olio martini and a dark & stormy. Then went into the tasting menu which was several courses with three dishes each. I can't quite recall every dish as each was complex with flavors & ingredients, and there was not a single dish to say ewe about! Our servers were fantastic, promptly bringing items and explaining what was within. I also had the wine flight with the tasting menu, which was a great pairing.

banger after banger after banger. was so surprised by this place. did the pre fixe and everything was soooo delicioso. the sausage pasta was a teeny bit salty for me and the lamb was prob my least favorite of all the dishes. but nonetheless all the plates were cleaned and spotless by the time they were sent back

Outstanding food! The agnolotti was amazing. And I loved the fava bean/onion salad. The 'nduja served with the focaccia was way better than any 'nduja I've had in the past. I highly recommend this inventive Italian restaurant

I highly recommend this place. It's better than I thought. It may be related to my expectation. I didn't know it was fine dining before. I just couldn't reserve a table at the original place I chose, so I changed to this place. There are many bars nearby, some new and some opened for a while. They are all very good. The wine is cheaper than in New York. They are all very creative. The bars all have food. In fact, you can go directly to drink and order food

The staff and interior of the building are great. I really enjoy the low light and all the plants. The food was a okay. We ordered the Baratta which super tiny but it was flavorful. I would say the batatta was the size of a dollar coin. The focaccia wasn't too flavorful but we didn't have about 4 pieces and the spread nice. We also ordered spaghetti ala chittara and the Tajarin for our main meal. The spaghetti was okay but I feel lacked depth and flavor. The Tajarin was super fragrant but lacked flavor. The Tajarin had a super fishy smell because of the tuna but once I ate it I didn't taste anything at all. Over I feel like the food here is expensive and lacking flavor. I feel like most dishes needed salt, pepper, or lemon. My favorite and most memorable dish was the baratta.

Pretty mediocre experience here. The mussels and charcuterie appetizers were okay but pretty standard. I tried the pumpkin ravioli which was pretty good but the seafood pasta but not good at all and the pasta was really hard.

I came to this place looking for great pasta, but I was disappointed. Was there for their "secret pasta deal" 3 pastas with a little appetizer and focaccia bread. From 5-6pm! The broccoli froth was interesting and light. The focaccia bread was pretty good, but I don't personally like olives. The pastas went from worst to okay. Eggy pasta with no flavor, to the seafood ravioli that did not taste really good, and the ground meat with udon... that one was not bad: too salty Anyways was sad about this place. Really wanted to like it. Won't be back! The decor was nice tho and the servers.

A couple hours later, I checked again and there was 1 cancellation. I am SO glad we had the opportunity to try this place. It's small, so would be difficult for large parties. Our server was wonderful and very knowledgeable. The food was INCREDIBLE. Like close your eyes, and feel all the emotions while you're eating incredible. There was not a single dish I didn't enjoy. I would love to return and try the option where you get to try every antipasto, primo, and second on the menu for $122/person. Can't wait to come back to Seattle just for this!

Even though the restaurant wasn't particularly busy during our visit, our server was extremely quiet and difficult to hear, which made communication a bit challenging. One nice touch was the complimentary bread service, which came with a generous amount of butter. We started with the artichokes from the seasonal menu. I was expecting them to be served warm or roasted, but they arrived cold, which was admittedly a misunderstanding on my part. The accompanying sauce was excellent though and definitely saved the dish for me. We also ordered the tajarin al ragù, one of the restaurant's signature dishes. Unfortunately, this was where my expectations and experience diverged. The pasta felt under-seasoned to me, and the noodles seemed overcooked. Rather than the silky texture I was hoping for, I found myself eating what felt like clumps of dough. It was a dish I really wanted to love given its reputation, but it just didn't click for me. We weren't looking for a heavy dinner, so we only ordered a couple of items. It's entirely possible we came on an off night or simply didn't choose the restaurant's strongest dishes. I'd be open to giving Cascina Spinasse another try in the future, but this visit left me feeling a bit underwhelmed compared to the hype.

I tried to order the fettuccine de mare, listed at $29 (no extra fees on Toast), but they told me it would be $43. That already didn't make sense. Then the server says, "We actually have 50% off happy hour until 11, come in and dine." So I came in. Ordered a drink, escargot, and a steak medium rare. The escargot came out fine. Then... nothing. 39 minutes later (at 10:45pm), the server asks if I'm waiting on anything else. Yes... my steak. She goes to check, disappears, and then comes back with something that honestly felt DISTESPECTFUL. The steak looked like scraps. Uneven, mismatched chunks, all different sizes, with burnt, crispy edges and covered in sauce like they were trying to hide it. It didn't look like a single cut of meat it looked like pieces from multiple steaks thrown together. The plating was sloppy, and the side looked like an afterthought. I didn't take a bite. I looked through it and said, "This looks like pieces from different steaks." She told me she watched them cut it... then immediately followed that by saying she saw them put it under a heat lamp to reheat. So which is it? I work in the food industry. I'm not going to be gaslit over a plate like that. She offered to refire it, but at that point it was almost 11 and they were closing. I paid for my drink and left. Honestly, I wouldn't have been upset if they had just told me the kitchen was closing when I called. But don't invite me in, forget my order, and then serve something like this and try to pass it off like it's normal. Just be honest.
