    Vodka pasta / Veal ragu
    Lilith F.

Come for decadent pasta dishes, and with an empty stomach! The ambiance is so cute in here! Came with a friend but it would be a cozy date spot too. The waitstaff was really nice and it was a great dining experience. I just wish I had come more hungry! After a day of eating across Seattle I wasn't hungry enough to fully devour the meal. The burrata was really unique, I have never seen burrata with pesto and marinated balsamic tomatoes before, and it was a very rich flavor profile. It was delicious and fun to make flavor combo bites with the bread it was served with. I got the vodka pasta, and it was a bit underwhelming. With thick bits of tomato it really tasted more like a more typical red sauce, and the torn mozzarella on top felt like an after thought flavor/texture wise. So, it was not my favorite. But I liked everything else about the meal, so I will definitely go back and try another dish next time I am in Seattle!

This restaurant was a wonderful surprise. I found it on Yelp and began to do my due diligence. Checked out the reviews on both Yelp and Google and ultimately decided that this is how I want to spend my evening with my hubby. Food was freaking amazing. From the complementary bread and olive oil to the tomato bisque and grilled cheese sandwich, then the amazing brussels sprouts salad (not pictured) and then finally the parpadella with meat sauce. Everything was so delicious and it came out popping hot, which is really important to me. It was perfect for a date night, small, intimate seating with candles on the table including these wonderful cute old-fashioned saucers that they give you an along with your small glass of water. Service was also top tier. My husband and I arrived during a busy time and it looked like it was gonna be a 20 to 30 minute wait but the hostess asked if we were mind waiting for her to check.. We're glad she did cause there was a table just waiting for us. The waitperson was attentive and ready to answer our questions. It was very nice. We will definitely go again. The only downside to this restaurant is the parking this restaurant is located on Pine Ave., Pine Street and the parking street parking is horrible. We drove around I think three times before we just made the decision to pay for parking.

Great experience here! The burrata is delicious and I love the pesto and amount of tomatoes on it. Highly recommend the grilled cheese, it is rich and well balanced with the tomato soup. The pasta is good too, but the menu items with burrata and cheese really shine.

Came here a second time now hoping it would be better than before. But it's the same the pastas are kinda bland and really heavy. But if you like heavy cheesey pasta I guess it's for you. The only thing my party liked was the burrata cheese and I'll only come back for that tbh. It paired well with the free bread they give you. The service was okay..we had to wait for a longggg time to get water and no one was checking up on us and the guy didn't seem happy to be there lol.

Quality/Quantity - Focaccia Bread - This was so good that we asked for an extra order. Cheese Platter - 3 cheeses; parmesan (not sure why my daughter ordered this...?), gouda, and manchego. Burrata Cheese - This, in my opinion, was the hit of the meal!! I highly recommend getting this. The tomatoes were also so ripe, sweet, juicy, etc! Lobster Ravioli - Our guest finished her dish. Rigatoni Vodka Sauce - My daughter's dish and she did not like it, so my wife switched with her. Campanelle Truffle Sauce - My wife's choice, but daughter ended up eating most if not all of it. So good. Parpadelle Ragu Bianco - My dish, this could and should have been cooked another minute. Slightly raw. Ambiance - Very small location. Only one table for a party of 6. Service - Good. Price - $132 + tip; includes a 3% credit card charge. Owner Comment - Congrats on all your success.

Cozy and rustic eatery in an inviting atmosphere with friendly service. Obviously, if you love cheese, you should come here! The cheese is light and delicious and the pasta is fresh and chewy. I especially loved the truffle pasta - flavors and textures were solid. I do think the bread was a bit on the dry side however.

One thing that a lot of restaurants don't do well is truffle oil. This is not one of those restaurants! I usually avoid truffle dishes but fell in love with their truffle pasta. I've yet to find love for prosciutto, but I'm sure I'm in the minority. Only complaint that I had was that the penne in marinara came out nearly boiling and it took about 10 minutes to be edible. Service was mostly attentive, and the bartender was very knowledgeable. Would recommend for takeout or occasional date nights.

TLDR: Went for Seattle restaurant week menu. 3 course for $35. Speedy service because we went in the middle of the week right at open. My roommate and I have been wanting to try this restaurant for a year now. It's a great date spot with intimate tables and bar seating. However, also some wall lined seats that would be great for solo dinners. The appetizers were my favorite part. Burrata is served with pesto and balsamic marinated tomatoes. Every bite was full of flavor. Although , I wish there was less pesto and more of the cheese. Needed more focaccia bread to finish it off. Salad had three types of olives BUT the salad was not overwhelmed with olive juice flavor. Gave the salad more depth. The entrees were supposed to have a chili sauce but we couldn't taste it (no spice or oil flavor at all). The gnocchi was a melt in your mouth bite but the sauce was soupy and plain. The basque cheesecake was more dense than other basques I've had, and I liked the caramelized taste on the crust. Tiramisu was not my favorite. It's "made to order" so the lady fingers are still crispy and the rum and coffee sauce is strong and quite bitter. Unsure if I'd go back for the full price menu.

Went for SRW $35 for app, entree, and dessert Excellent burrata salad, tomatoes were so juicy and naturally sweet Meatballs was paired with mascarpone cheese to dip with bread and it was so yummy Truffle Campanelle was pretty good Lamb malfadine was too gamy -- wasn't our vibe. Tiramisu and basque cheesecake were delish By the end of the meal I had so much cream I felt pretty heavy lol

We've been here twice now, and while both experiences were great overall, the wait times were definitely a mixed bag. Our *first visit* was later in the day with a big party, and we were pleasantly surprised to be seated in just 5 minutes. On our *second visit*, we showed up right at opening and ended up waiting nearly an hour and a half--so just a heads-up that timing can be hit or miss. The food is perfect for sharing, which made it fun to order a bunch of dishes and try a bit of everything. The variety on the menu made it hard to choose (in a good way), and everything we tried was tasty. Also, shoutout to the dishware, it's absolutely adorable! I actually had to Google the brand afterward and might be ordering some for myself. Overall, a solid spot for anyone who likes to share plates and try a little of everything. Just be prepared for a wait, especially during peak hours.

It would have been nice to stay to try the food, but I just couldn't. The bartender working 2/21/25 was just so extremely off-putting that it felt like we were just not wanted or welcomed. He seemed to have trouble making eye contact with the people in my party which was concerning. The menu looks promising, but all the items marked with a "V" for vegetarian contain meat. These portion sizes are deceivingly small. When i first received it I was a little disappointed by how small the bowl was, but it was actually the perfect size and I was stuffed by the end! I think the restaurant is a very fun concept and thoroughly enjoyed my pasta (prosciutto, mushroom, black truffle pasta). I also like that they serve complimentary bread and olive oil!

Came on a Saturday super last minute & managed to snag a 3 person seat at the bar. Based off the photos I saw, I was excited to get fluffy focaccia bread and oil to start but I was a bit surprised to find that they gave us two of the thinnest slices of bread, each slice cut in 3 smaller ones. We also ordered the meatball appetizer, which came with thin slices of bread as well. I find it so odd when restaurants give such small amounts of bread to parties with 2+ people, esp when the dish comes with 3 meatballs!! Thankfully, we asked for more bread (at no extra charge) and it came nice and toasted. The meatballs were moist, salty and super flavorful!! With a spoonful of the cheese... so good, just wish we got more bread and didn't have to ask for more. I felt awkward asking the server for more bread because although it was pretty busy, I feel like she would place an item down and immediately turn her back and walk away from us. Definitely don't get checked on too often if you come here at peak time... (which I totally understand, but I don't like feeling like I'm being avoided!!) Along with w/ the meatballs, we got the campanelle truffle pasta and the parpadelle ragu blanco. Like other reviews have stated, the bowls are deceptively small & I do feel like you actually get a good amount of pasta. I was definitely satiated after the meal. I love the pile of shredded cheese that melts right into your pasta. For the campanelle truffle pasta, I wish that they had salt and pepper at the table though, because I do feel like while the cream pasta base was good, it lacked flavor besides cream, even with the truffles? (I guess they might not add salt due to the addition of the proscuttio?). The parpadelle ragu blanco was cooked sooo al dente that it was kind of hard. The sauce was sooo soupy and also a bit plain and one dimensional besides creamy as well.

It's minimally furnished with just the right amount of ambient lighting. Secondly, it's Italian, but Piedmontese Italian if that means anything to you. We started with crespelle ($29) which is an Italian crepe. The version we ordered was stuffed with prosciutto and parmigiana fonduta with arugula salad. The crepe was light and airy and paired perfectly with the salty prosciutto and parm. Perfect starter. Honestly, all the pastas we ordered were absolute fire. Of the three, I liked the Tajarin Al ragù ($20/$34) the most. It's a fine hand-cut egg yolk pasta with pork and beef ragù. The pasta is so finely cut; it's delicate. What I liked best was the way the ragù sauce enveloped itself into the folds of the pasta. Each bite was cohesive and really intentional. The risotto was also quite good as well - that night, it was the risotto ai gamberi ($21/$35) which highlight spot prawns. The spot prawns were sweet and the Calabrian chili was a really nice complement to the sweet and creamy. Delish. I'm sure the risotto is great in any season. I must say - the best thing about the menu is the fact that you can order a smaller portion of any of the pasta dishes as to not have to fully commit to one. This is a superb way to eat. Live actually. Include Spinasse on any itinerary if you can.

Let me tell you, Lupo is high on my list of "Best 'Za In Seattle", and it will be on yours as well. The waiter told us something about how they're "fancy pizza but not stuck up" (not a direct quote), which fits right in with Seattle gastronomic philosophy. It's worth trying to get here early in the night, because it can be difficult to get a seat. And you want to have some time to sit down and enjoy this pizza. Make sure you wear your best sitting pants though, because you're in for a meal that will make you progressively adjust the belt loops as time goes on. I'm sure that there are plenty of top notch pizzas across the menu here, but the Caesar salad may have been a best-in-class item. The dressing was perfectly balanced with just enough anchovy taste, and there was exactly enough of it on every bite. Instead of having croutons in the salad, they had a heaping portion of toasted breadcrumbs that made each bite so much more interesting. Caesar himself would be proud. All of the pizzas sounded great, but I was pretty sure that they would be able to execute on a cacio e pepe flawlessly here, and I wasn't disappointed. The initial bite was everything that I could have hoped for. But I would make sure that you demolish this pizza promptly - it's not one that's great as leftovers. I think that is the case for most pizza of this style anyways. I am ridiculously excited about coming back to Lupo in the future to try more pizzas. If you are currently reading this and haven't been here yet, I strongly urge you to close this review and head there immediately!

The margherita was simple but spot-on, and the burrata added this extra hit of creaminess that took it over the top. Both pies had a generous amount of parmesan that was honestly perfect. FOOD POISONING ALERT…read more I'm 8 months pregnant and came here on Mother's Day with my husband and toddler, hoping for a nice family celebration. Unfortunately, it turned into one of the worst dining experiences I've had in a long time. I ordered the seafood linguine special, while my husband had the veal marsala. The seafood in my pasta immediately tasted off -- especially the clams and mussels, which seemed old and likely frozen for far too long. Even my toddler, who normally LOVES seafood pasta at Italian restaurants, refused to take a second bite after trying it. I enjoyed seafood pasta from many other places but could barely finish my food that day. Later that night, I developed severe abdominal pain. At 8 months pregnant, any cramping is terrifying, and I genuinely thought I might be going into labor. After hours of pain coming and going, bloating, gas, vomiting, and diarrhea the next day, it became pretty obvious the food was the cause. Ruined Mother's Day and caused unnecessary stress during pregnancy. I will never order seafood from here again.

I tried to order the fettuccine de mare, listed at $29 (no extra fees on Toast), but they told me it would be $43. That already didn't make sense. Then the server says, "We actually have 50% off happy hour until 11, come in and dine." So I came in. Ordered a drink, escargot, and a steak medium rare. The escargot came out fine. Then... nothing. 39 minutes later (at 10:45pm), the server asks if I'm waiting on anything else. Yes... my steak. She goes to check, disappears, and then comes back with something that honestly felt DISTESPECTFUL. The steak looked like scraps. Uneven, mismatched chunks, all different sizes, with burnt, crispy edges and covered in sauce like they were trying to hide it. It didn't look like a single cut of meat it looked like pieces from multiple steaks thrown together. The plating was sloppy, and the side looked like an afterthought. I didn't take a bite. I looked through it and said, "This looks like pieces from different steaks." She told me she watched them cut it... then immediately followed that by saying she saw them put it under a heat lamp to reheat. So which is it? I work in the food industry. I'm not going to be gaslit over a plate like that. She offered to refire it, but at that point it was almost 11 and they were closing. I paid for my drink and left. Honestly, I wouldn't have been upset if they had just told me the kitchen was closing when I called. But don't invite me in, forget my order, and then serve something like this and try to pass it off like it's normal. Just be honest.

When we first arrived we were given the option of either the chef's counter or a table. I thought the chef's counter was a unique experience but for the night we opted for a table near the window. The space is intimate and even though there weren't many people there when we first got there, it still gave a warm and cozy vibe (quickly filled up though). The week of my friend's birthday they were only doing Seattle Restaurant Week, which I hadn't realized at first but the menu was amazing regardless. The staff was very attentive to us, constantly checking in on us and making any adjustments as needed. They thoughtfully walked us through our choices and when the food arrived. First we started with appetizers which I thought it was nice that you get to try all them and didn't have to choose one. The salad and asparagus is what you would expect, but they were perfectly done and not overly complex. The stand out was the Seared Tombo, the flavors of this dish were balanced and the fish was clearly very fresh! For our main we both got the halibut option, which came with a side of sunchokes. We had never had sunchokes before but were immediately in love (the fish was cooked to perfection too) but I loved the introduction of not so common ingredient. I thought it was a fun play on traditional "potatoes" almost. I'm glad we were able to try both of the desserts. My favorite was the tiramisu (I always love tiramisu). The carrot cake was more on the dryer side (almost like a cornbread), which isn't my preference but I enjoyed the flavors. Overall, really enjoyed this place and would definitely come back!

Similarly, we paid $23 for a seared tombo and were given four thin slices of meat. I feel slightly robbed paying about $80 and leaving quite hungry. The food was good, but by no means would I argue this is worth going out of your way for.
