My husband and I bought our new home knowing we had to completely redo the roof. Being pregnant and not wanting to deal with the dust and dirt of construction, I wanted the roof completed by the time we moved in. This gave us a period of a week to get our roof done. We called every roofing company that had strong yelp reviews in the LA area. We got quotes all over the map. Some companies quoted us low, but mentioned that the price could go up if there was wood rot, or the flashing needed to be replaced, etc. (never trust those companies!). Some companies quoted ridiculously high. We eventually chose Immaculate Roofing because they were able to give us a reasonable price - a set price (no exceptions here and there), they were able to work within our timeframe, and Derek was so straight-forward, genuine, and easy to work with. At no point did I feel like I was being scammed for more money. When we moved in to our new home, I couldn't believe what an amazing job Immaculate had done. Derek and his crew did a very good job on my roof. I had an area around my roof HVAC unit and chimney that needed replacing. It was a tricky job but they took their time with a lot of small details. The nicest thing was that I had a shed that was attached to the house and they re-roofed that at no extra cost. I can see why Immaculate are so much in demand - I had to wait a bit to get the work done, but it was worth the wait. It hasn't been rained on yet, but I hope those pesky leaks are gone. read more

I had a fantastic experience with Immaculate Roofing and highly recommend their work. I contacted several roofing companies in my area and was totally frustrated at how unprofessional their customer services were handled (poorly written estimates, untimely returned calls, unreturned calls, unwilling to spend time explaining roofing materials and/or roofing processes, not flexible when scheduling meetings to accommodate my schedule, etc...). The amount of time Derek spent with me on the phone explaining roofing really impressed me. We made an appointment for an estimate and he was willing to come out after hours when I got home from work. During his visit, Derek spent a lot of time with me discussing my roofing options and the roofing techniques he would use on my roof. Needless to say, after our meeting I was even more impressed with Immaculate. Right away Derek presented me with 3 different roofing estimates for different types of roofs, and each estimate was professionally prepared, very clearly written and understandable, and attached to the estimates was his liability and workers' comp insurance certificates. When I called Derek to review the estimates he was very patient and spent as much time as I needed... he even compared and contrasted his estimate with others I had gotten by explaining to me what meant what. I found it refreshing that Derek acted professionally by never criticizing any of the other estimates I had received. After this conversation I was even more impressed! I ended up going with Immaculate and received an energy efficient roof with two solar attic fans, which has proven to keep my home very cool on hot days. Immaculate showed up on time, worked very hard, worked very clean, left my attic clean, left my house looking great, and finished a half a day early! I recently had a small, but very necessary, job done on my roof. After a few large companies came to look at the situation and didn't even bother to send me a quote or follow up in any way despite my requests, I contacted Derek at Immaculate Roofing. He came by and within a day sent me an email estimate on the repair. His crew came by a few days later and completed the job in one day, including general roof cleanup and maintenance. I think the price seemed reasonable and fair, although I had nothing to compare to since no other company wanted my business!! After tearing off the old roof, they applied insulation and then a new torch down roof. They did a great job covering our pool. To avoid debris. Because we have exposed ceilings, we opted to have Immaculate tarp the our ceilings as well, to keep out debris that might fall through the crake between the roof boards. I have a lot to say about Immaculate Roofing Co.! First of all, I was immediately impressed by the owner, Derek. His honesty, integrity, and pride came through clearly and was reinforced throughout the job from beginning to end. Our project manager Aaron was also highly impressive in his demeanor, knowledge, and commitment to excellence. Immaculate was the least expensive of the four bids I obtained and still they fully lived up to their name. Their complete roofing system was superior to what all the other roofers offered, and they used all top of the line materials. For example, they showed me how my old tar paper was crumbling - which they said was typical - and is the reason they use an indestructible weatherproofing paper called Tiger Paw. And, while technically unnecessary, they also used a thick rubber protective system for all the valleys. Another big difference from all the other companies was a highly intelligent and impressive system for around the chimney. We added 6 vents and a solar attic fan; all our metal pieces were beautifully redone and painted to match each other and the roof. When it came to the many different decisions I had to make, I felt as though I had patient, supportive partners working with me, and it all turned out spectacularly. When I shared with Derek how impressed I was with every member of his team, he was very appreciative while not surprised as he shared with me how they were all carefully chosen and highly trained. Before final payment, Derek insisted we walk around the house and all over the roof to make sure everything was in fact immaculate, which of course it was! We had a solar system installed right after our roof and the installers damaged some of the shingles. Aaron and Derek spoke with them, worked it out between them, and then not only replaced the damaged shingles, but also painted - to match the roof - all the metal piping from the solar panels to the electrical panel! My experience working with Owner, Derek and his Immaculate Roofing crew was a good one. I was initially sold on using his services based on the quality of work they performed on my next door neighbor's roof which was impressive. Here are some things that I liked about my dealings with Derek and Immaculate Roofing: 1. Derek is a professional roofing Specialist who cares about his work quality and service. He is very knowledgeable about his industry, well versed and up to date on city regulations, funding programs etc. He guided me in the right direction with some of my decisions. 2. The six page typed out computer generated proposal Derek provided was very detailed in bullet points, leaving few questions about what to expect from the job and the services that would be provided i.e., the preparation process, covering the grounds, protecting plants from debris etc., Wood and fascia board replacement was also addressed along with installation items, painting, sealing, timeline for completion, trash removal etc. I liked seeing all of these details in writing. 3. Immaculate Roofing pulled the roofing permit with the city and coordinated all inspections. The permit was placed in a visible location outside my home for inspector access. Due to my busy schedule I was relieved I did not have to deal with the city or the inspector. 4. Well-staffed operation. On the first start day of the job, Mike, Immaculate Roofing's Site Project Mgr., (nice guy) visited the job site at 8am to introduce himself, answer any additional questions and communicate with the crew to make sure the job was off to a good start which provided extra reassurance everyone was on the same page. 5. The process of removing old layers of roofing was clean and quick. Debris was placed in large bags as the roof was being demoed, so no big mess from chunks of debris being thrown onto the ground. 6. The Immaculate crew cleaned up each day after the workday, sweeping the driveway clean of any debris and nails etc. 7. The Job was completed within the specified timeline with no financial surprises along the way. 8. Timely receipt of my 25 year warranty 9. Rebate assistance Direct TV had to reattach the unit to the roof and re-establish the signal but that was minor. Overall, I am comfortable with the price I paid for the services provided compared to other bids. With El Niño coming to Socal all the roofing companies are going crazy with work. I call Immaculate and left my info with the receptionist. After a few days and no return call I decide to call again. Well that night I received a call from Derek and it was the start of a excellent experience. Derek came over a few days later and check out a roof. Derek was the only roofer out of the 4 I receive estimate from to take the time and show me the steps of a "roofing system". It was important to me that I see and felt the materials that will be protecting my home as we all hear "I'm glad I have a roof over my head". Well Derek's estimate was the highest and I was not surprise as he appears to be very detail. I decided to have all estimates line up next to each other and compare. After going line for line Derek's estimate included some wood work, permits from the city and replacements of flashings where the other company was extra. So I decide to go with Immaculate and set a date for install. First day tear off.... Oh no!!!!! The crew showed up on time and I was explained how the day was going to go by Aaron who was very accommodating. The crew covered all the planter and ground. Also they installed a tarp in my garage and was very careful. WHAT BLEW ME AWAY WAS FIRST TIME ANY COMPANY I HIRED PUT A CARDBOARD UNDER THEIR TRUCK IN CASE OF OIL LEAKS!!!!! All the workers were in uniform and was not sub contractors which is very rare in the roofing industry. My entire property and my neighbor was all cleaned up by the end of the day to where you will never know that my roof was removed. The next day was inspection and wood replacement. My street was getting power poles replace and no power from 8am to 7pm but that didn't stop Immaculate. They bought their generator and finish the job that day. I arrive home to find my full blown reef tank going downhill from the power outage and have a lot of $$$$$$ invested. Well Derek was nice enough to let me use his generator over night so I plugged in my reef tank and couple lamps so the kids can do their homework!!!! Next day the roofing system started to take place and all went smooth. Final inspection took place with no issues and I have to say this was a painless project with Immaculate roofing. I met with Derek and told him all the detail from his guys with the rain gutter guard they use to protect the ladders from damaging my rain gutters to tarps and covers to keep my home clean was the best thing a roofing company can use. We just had a whole new roof put on - Worked with Derek in scheduling and selecting style --- he's great! He came out and checked out our roof - he actually did our patio roof two years ago and at that time said we still had a good two years left on the house (he was right -- 2 years later we called him back). He's very professional and personable, a pleasure to deal with. When we finally got it scheduled (due to holidays, etc.) they showed up on a Thursday and was done by end of day Monday (worked Saturday as well). The project Manager, Mike Calhoun, was in constant communication with us letting us know where we were and when we'd be done. It was great (Mike is also very professional and personable) working with them. Mike also made sure "pictures/of before & after" were to me as promised! The guys made sure everything was cleaned up at the end of each day - found very few nails, etc. daily, and that was extremely important because we have dogs. Also need to give Savanah credit for her continuous communication during the scheduling and working the contract, and all as well. I'm sure she's what keeps the whole company in order! This was my first time hiring Derek and Immaculate Roofing. My company was finishing a solid roof patio cover about 400SF in size. When it got time to do the roof, my normal roofer didn't have time for the job. I quick went on Yelp on a Wednesday and contacted 5 companies. 2 got back to me immediately, Derek being one of them, and meet with my foreman that Friday. They both got me estimates over the weekend which were only nominally different. Both were licensed, reputable companies. I liked that Derek offered a 10 year warranty upfront, rather then add an option. To me that showed the desire to stand behind their work. I also noticed a slight mistake or miscommunication on his measurements but when I brought to his attention, he stood behind his personal cost no problem. Let me say that none came close to the services provided by Derek and his crew. Derek took on my project, as if he was working on his own house. Delivered the work in the timeframe and price he promised. More importantly, he has been completely responsive to my needs (long) after the work was done. Because of an error made by my previous general contractor, there was some damage to the new roof that caused problems during the recent rains in LA. Instead of Derek washing his hands of the work and placing the blame on the GC (which he could have easily done), he came to my house, fixed the roof, and told me that he will always be dedicated to my house/roof. I do a lot of reasearch before I hire anyone to work on my home. Lucky for us our roof was completed at the end of October just before the storms of November started. I contacted Immaculate Roofing and Derek called me back right away and came out to give me a quote. Once we decided to move forward Derek was booked for several weeks so we had to wait but he told me if we had a leak they would come out and tarp until they were able to do the roof. To me it is a good sign when a contractor is busy. These guys are really amazing and great to work with. Derek was at my home each day to make sure the job was going well. He did leave to do other quotes, but, let me know who the lead guy was in case I had any questions. They did a great job and cleaned up each day before they left.
