Dr. Smith has saved me (and my back) more than a few times over the years. I'm so glad I found him! Last year I was in the middle of preceptorship for my nursing program when my back gave out and had me bent forward, almost crawling. Dr. Smith made time for me to come in right away and got me back on my feet in an upright position just in time for my next shift. The girls at the front are always sweet and pleasant, and the massage team is also amazing! I've had sessions with Selene, Mizelene, and David so far. Dr Smith and team are amazing! From professionalism, respect and attentiveness, they've got it all. Went in for a bum right knee which has been swollen and painful at time for 3-4 months. After a few weeks of regular treatments and assessments, we tried deep tissue massage and stem (aka Tens) treatment on top of a regular adjustment and laser treatment, and my knee is starting to come back to normal. It was my first time getting adjusted, and I was so nervous. However, Dr. Smith immediately provided reassurance and made me feel comfortable and relaxed. I've been a patient for 5 years or more and moved from Long Beach to Palm Desert last July. I haven't found a chiropractor I'm impressed with yet but will keep looking. Whenever I know I'll be visiting LB I try to get an appointment. Today was great; some long overdue adjustments were successful as always and my body feels back in alignment. Dr. Ryan Smith also knows how to adjust hands, fingers, even feet and shoulders in addition to neck and back. Not many (in my experience) know or bother with areas outside the basic spine. I've been to a few chiropractors, and Dr Ryan Smith stands out on top. Great staff, great care. If you need a strong massage, Selena set the tone for the rest of the massage therapists. I had my first massage there recently, and it was the level of consistent pressure I needed to iron out some knots and tension. If that's what you're looking for, ask for her, I'm not sure how the other therapists deliver. That was my first time. I've seen Dr Smith several times and felt great when the visits were routine. Scott's acupuncture services are the best I've come across. He runs the clinic under a Sports Medicine feel. He listens. He returns practical solutions. If you want a religious experience to go with your acupuncture, this is not your guy. If you want straight-talk along with basic gentle care, he is your guy. He was good with cost/benefit of ongoing care discussions with me and helped me understand how long certain problems were going to take and what my expectations should be. I would recommended to anyone with muscle problems, including those persistent Rhomboid issues from computer-mouse work and holding/typing to much on the cell phone for work that I experience. I've had an amazing experience going to Impact Chiropractic these last couple of months. I was able to schedule appointments for a readjustment & massage easily & was seen promptly when I arrived at the office. The staff there is kind & fun. And, I was happily surprised by the options I had for electronic stimulation or a roller massage bed after getting adjusted. I liked how forthright Dr. Smith was about what my treatment plan as well as what I could do to aid in my recovery & to prevent similar injuries in the future. Within a month the range of motion in my stiff neck increased and my neck pain was gone. I really liked the package deals he has available too which are super reasonably priced, especially when someone has to pay out of pocket. I like all the other services his office provides & the comprehensive approach he & his team take in their patients' wellness. Found Impact Chiropractic on the list of chiropractors through Kaiser. Prior to coming to Impact, I've been seen at The Joint. The experience at The Joint was not bad, but the experience at Impact was better. Prior to arrival I had to complete a full assessment where I shared medical hx or if I have any physical ailments in the past etc. I was able to do it online which cut down on the I waited. Unlike the joint, I had my own room. Another staff, who facilitates assisted stretches, came in to assess my mobility for about 7 minutes. Shortly after Dr. Smith aligned my body. Before leaving, I laid on a massage bed for.a few minutes, Apparently, your first appointment was long but follow up appointments are not as long. My next appointment will be an assisted stretch therapy. Truly looking forward to it. Otherwise, I highly recommend and it's super reasonable. However, for those who have Kaiser they are a listed provider. read more
