I love their chicken and broccoli lunch special I also love their chicken dumplings and I wish i knew where they get their dumplings from.

When I placed this order online, I was notified that this would take 25 minutes to prepare. We got General Tsao Chicken, and a vegetable Mei Fun noodle dish. It was all ready a little earlier, and it was pretty damn good. I only wish that they could have given more than 2 little napkins. They were kind of 'cheap' with the take-out part of the order, but the Chicken was really good, and the Mei Fun was super tasty. I have been ordering from Great Wall for the last two years ever since I got a giant container of beef and broccoli drowning in oil from Chow's. Delivery is quick, everyone in the restaurant is friendly, and best of all the floor isn't sticky when you go inside for take out. The restaurant is located on the corner of 200th Street and 32nd Avenue. Street Parking can be difficult but I usually get my meal delivered so it isn't a big problem. They have THE BEST Kung Pao Chicken and Crab Rangoon. Food is not very greasy. The Wonton Soup does not taste watered down. I've also had the Sesame Chicken, Boneless and Bone In Spare Ribs, Beef and Broccoli, Shrimp and Broccoli, Szechuan Chicken, Vegetable Lo Mein, and Chicken Chow Fun. So far no complaints. read more

Found this place by accident and am quite fortunate I did. Wifey and I order from them sometimes up to 3x per week, a few weeks actually more than that when we had particular cravings. Our favorites include, General Tso's Chicken, Sesame Chicken, Singapore Noodles (OMG Amazing, and I have a container in my fridge as I write this), Boneless Spare Ribs, House Special Lo Mein, and last but not least, their delish egg rolls. Just a few of our favorites, but they have so much more to offer. We have always ordered delivery with the exception of 2 times. They deliver on time, regardless of size of order, in my experience. Also, their drivers always bring the order up to our floor and seem gracious about doing so, which is appreciated. Since we discovered them, it is the only Chinese Takeout restaurant we will order from, and we hope the owners stay in the game, because they are damn good at it. read more

I was told that the delivery person would be there in 5 minutes. I must say this is the worst chinese take out place I've ever come across. Ordered fried dumplings, general tso, Lomein and beef chow fun. First of all, the chow fun had no color or taste-bland as f. Lomein was over cooked and so soggy. General Tso was also soggy and no crisp to it at all. Dumpling was the most ok dish but even that wasn't satisfying. The only reason I gave it a 2 star is because I have had better food from them in the past that was acceptable/good but they just delivered the most bland Chinese food I have ever had. The fried rice literally tasted like plain rice, and the general tsos chicken was ok but too dry. We ate just enough to curb our hunger and threw out the rest (see pic.) This is the saddest review I've ever had to write here on Yelp. Let me start by saying that Great Wall was my absolute FAVORITE food option, not just Chinese food. I didn't know what we had until Andy took his magical Great Wall skills and disappeared. My family and I have been eating Great Wall for over 10 years and I am still in shock that I will have the amazing Great Wall that I loved. I gave the new Great Wall a try out of respect for how amazing it used to be, and obviously I was terribly disappointed. The chicken and broccoli was bland and undercooked. The Lo Mein was so incredibly dry that it took so many packs of duck and soy sauce to make it edible. The sesame chicken and pork fried rice were mediocre at best, but Great Wall used to make the best chicken and broccoli as well as many other things. The biggest let down is the new egg roll. It is completely white on the inside and isn't an egg roll. Great Wall used to make the best egg roll and I'm not sure if any other place will fill that void. I miss the old Great Wall egg rolls and everything else. PLEASE COME BACK ANDY!!!! Charge double or triple if you have to, I miss you and your delicious food From a loving fan read more

Worst service ever.. ordered food at 1PM, followed up at 2:45, still wasn't ready and the receiver hung up the phone telling me "oh we are so busy". After tht they stopped picking up calls. I'm Chinese American who was born and raised in another land so I know the difference between good authentic Chinese American food like take out and good authentic Chinese food like soup dumpling and dim sum. I recently moved to this part of neighborhood and today is my first time trying out local Chinese take outs. To me, I rate take out by the most basic dishes, Chicken Broccoli or beef Brocolli, Pork fried rice, general tsao chicken and Fried chicken. Unfortunately the chicken in both chicken broccoli and general Tsao chicken tasted so mushy that I question what kind of meat am I eating? The fried wonton and crab rangoon ordered were undercooked and the skin was still wet and mushy. Fried rice really felt like old rice and the cha siu pork had a funky after taste. The fried chicken was rather bland and need more time in the fryer. I will not eat here again. read more

Hands down, the BEST Chinese take-out you will come across in all of Queens. I know of people who travel from Maspeth, College Point, and beyond just to make sure the are getting the quality Chinese take-out that can only be found at Great Wall. I'm pretty sure they have the exact same staff they had when my family first started using them years ago, which is fine, because they have kept the exact same delicious recipes as well. This is basically how the event goes down: 1. You call up and place your order. 2. Saunter on over to Great Wall about fifteen-twenty minutes later. 3. Say hello to all the chefs in the back and everyone else behind the counter, and have some idle chit-chat with the guy who mans the phones. 4. Receive your food (remember to ask for ALL the sauces, including hot chili oil), and pay them. 5. Tell everyone to have a good night and rush back home, hoping that the table is already set when you get there so you can enjoy your delicious food all the sooner. After my years of eating Great Wall, here are some dish suggestions: -Pork Fried Rice (best ever, no one can top this) -Steamed Dumplings -Chicken with Broccoli (ask for it in a Szcheuan sauce, spicier is better...and if you don't like Broccoli, just order Shredded Chicken in the same sauce, but without any Vegetables) -General Tso's Chicken (might not be legit Chinese food, but no less delicious because of it) -Fries with an order of Curry Sauce (their curry is very similar to the type you get with Curry Chips in Ireland or the UK) Now go, go and order from Great Wall!! read more

I've been ordering from this place for about three years... As some of the other reviewers mentioned, as long as you go here with the expectation of Americanized-Chinese food, you're fine... That means one of two things. "Bland" food, which I think of as less-spiced food or too salty. I think they go with the less spiced route because they also do the no-MSG, vegetable oil thing. That said... I order everything from them extra spicy - this doesn't really make it spicy but they do a pretty good job of putting flavor into it. I recommend any of the "____ & Broccoli" choices (extra spicy), their egg rolls, sesame noodles (If you're into the peanut buttery flavor), and definitely their spare ribs and beef on stick. The price is always good, especially with the lunch specials but you can almost always make anything into a combo (with rice of some sort, egg roll or drink) for pretty cheap. They also deliver nice and quickly. For a neighborhood takeout / delivery spot, this place does great. Definitely a + to having close by. read more

Typical Americanized Chinese food. If you go in with that expectation you won't be disappointed. Consistent quality and large portions. Good freebies if you hit certain order minimums. Delivery is prompt and the food is always fresh. Been ordering from here for over 10 years. Haven't been disappointed. The chicken wings, spare ribs, and scallops are pretty good. This is the best, cleanest hole-in-the-wall Chinese takeout place I've ever been to. They don't just clean their woks out between each person's order, they clean them out between cooking the different components of one order (I'm never afraid to order here with vegetarians). Somehow this results in distinctive, complimentary flavors instead of overall blandness. I only eat white rice, but everyone says their fried rice is clean and delicious. Their dumplings are delicious (and I've only ever bitten into a fat globule once in several years of going there), their chicken never tastes like fatty bottom-of-the-barrel grossness and their prices are good. They also finally speak enough English that you can be sure you're getting what you ordered. read more
