Brought breakfast package with hotel stay and the food is very good here. I'm excited to be here for seven days so I can try something different everyday. The service is excellent and the staff is friendly. I would recommend you stop by if you are in playa. Cheers!

If you're looking for dinner with great flavor and an "Asian fusion" twist as they call it on the menu you've came to the right place. From the tuna tartare to the ribs to the Mongolian beef, this place didn't disappoint anywhere. Our server was more than helpful and even brought our table a sample of the grilled octopus. They have a great wine selection by the glass or bottle as well which was nice to have some options to choose from. If I'm ever back in Playa Del Carmen I will be back to this place.

We have been here several times for breakfast which is always amazing. Hot beverage, fresh juice, a basket of pastries and a fruit plate come included with any main choice, which we have always been impressed with. I loved the chorizo and eggs. Dinner was also really delicious and I recall a great craft cocktail.

"Nice Experience" We tried to get into their sister restaurant, Plank but it was booked until 9 PM. Imprevist is a charming small Asian fusion restaurant on a side street. We were served an Amuse Bouche, a fried ravioli, very good. Started with steamed dumplings and tuna tartare, both very good. For entrees, I had the fish special, a Mexican type of swordfish in a flavorful Asian both with mussels, very nice. My wife opted for the chicken lettuce wrap, a nice little meal. For dessert, we tried the crème Brule, not as custardy as I like but good and their version of a Profiterole, different. Definitely will go back.

This place is known for offering a great breakfast as well it should be. A couple of nearby hotel/condos offer a comp breakfast here. It's one of the best offers in PDC. Read other reviews which tell you how great breakfast is. They are all true!! I know that as I have had occasion to eat breakfast there every morning for the last week. What most people don't know is how good this place is for dinner. My spouse and I have eaten here the last two nights and will come back here for our last dinner in PDC. The atmosphere is beautiful. Piped in music, subtle lighting, sit alfresco and your view is a romantic looking candle shop across the quiet street. Service is so good. Whatever you want they will try to make happen. The chef has created an incredible menu of interesting entrees. Apps and salads are great. Both nights the kitchen offered a complimentary sampling from the chef. We enjoyed the salads each night. Feel free to ask for salt and fresh ground pepper to dial in your personal flavor preference. No one takes offense. The entrees were incredible: tandoori shrimp on rice noodles, green curry fish on jasmine rice and seafood risotto with squid ink. They were incredibly delicious!! To give you an idea of the service level, both nights we were there, we asked for port wine for dessert which isn't on their menu. The first night, Andres and the second night, Julie, ran down the block and around the corner to the bar of their sister restaurant, Plank, to get the Port we asked for. Now that is service above and beyond!! By the way, Plank is good, but Imprevist is the better of the two restaurants. It simply has more character and soul as well as a menu more developed. Try them both if you like but if you can only chose one, Imprevist would be my choice, no hesitation.

Yummy food! Second visit and it was delicious food. I rarely have Eggs Benedict but these were spot on - perfectly poached eggs. On a quiet street and lots of food for the $. It's $230 pesos for breakfast which comes with a bread/pastry basket, fruit plate with yogurt, honey and oats. Choice of coffee or tea. We will be back

Best breakfast/ brunch in Playa! For only 150 pesos you get an all inclusive breakfast which includes : fruit plate, basket of fresh pastries, coffee, juice and main course! Belgian waffle, French toast, eggs Benidict, molletes, sopes, paninis, club sandwiches, the list goes on! We have a standing reservation every Sunday! Yes, I highly recommend making reservations so you won't be disappointed! Their dinners are also excellent, check out their ever changing menu on their web site and friend them on Facebook.

It is best if you make a reservation ahead of time. Their selection of cocktails included some exclusive to this restaurant and sounded delicious and a nice combination of Asian flavors with local fruits. I went with the Kioto that was a great blend of aged rum, passion fruit puree, tamarind water, iced tea and simple syrup. My mom loved her fish dinner. I very much enjoyed my tiraditos and sashimi. We wrapped up our dinner with ginger ice cream. Service was excellent and food arrived promptly. I wish I've known ahead which days they were closed as they rotate restaurants. We tried going our last night for other dishes and they were closed for the night.

We did not need reservations and were seated quickly upstairs. They were not strict about the dress code, which was appreciated. I tried several appetizers including the tuna tartare, Thai lettuce tacos, and spring rolls. Everything was well done and small portions . I was also very pleased that they had lychee martinis, which were a great touch.

They were open in a different location before, closed for a while, and opened again at 15th and 8, across from the Palacio Municipal. The restaurant is nice, comfortable and covered in pin up girl art. Service was friendly and our server spoke English well. The menu is mostly different Asian dishes-Thai, Vietnamese, Indian-with a couple of European options thrown in. My group all ordered appetizers to share and Asian entrees (Thai curry, curry noodles, Pad Thai), and everyone was happy. My favorite appetizer was the dumplings, but the samosas and satay were also good. My entree was red curry noodles with chicken. The regular size was a lot of food, with very tasty sauce and well cooked chicken and veggies. The grilled pineapple was a nice addition. The spice level was hot enough for me, but the addition of their house habanero sauce kicked it up nicely. The premium margaritas were also good. I would definitely go again and will enjoy the leftovers.

The menu is focused on their specialty, HOMEMADE noodles! So delicious. We ordered 4 different dishes, all were scrumptious. The friendly server made great recommendations. The pad thai was a bit more savory but tasty, it was my favorite.  The garlic peanut noodles had a thick sauce and was good. The other favorite was the green curry noodles, light and flavorful! The best place to enjoy a yummy meal. We ate outdoors with a view of the Christmas decorations in the city Square and inside there was a vibrant d.j. with muted dance music, excellent vibes! Excellent service, food and ambiance.
