The worst in n out experience I have ever had. I waited in line for 45 mins just to put my order in... then waited another 25 just for my food. The drive through was so ridiculously slow that several cars even turned off their vehicles in the middle of the line because of how long the line took even move a few feet. Located on the corner of Colorado Blvd and Santa Anita Avenue, this In-N-Out location is always busy. The parking and drive-thru entrance is actually on Colorado Blvd. The parking lot is tiny, so perhaps finding parking on the street may be a viable alternative. Make sure you don't park in the adjacent lot next to the Bagel store. I have a feeling that the Bagel store is annoyed by their big sign that says "Absolutely No In-N-Out Parking." Seating is all outdoors which is nice. Unfortunately, the seating is also right next to the drive-thru so you end up smelling the carbon monoxide emanating from the vehicles. Had a great experience at this In-n-Out location! Came here late on a Sunday night, the drive-thru lines were long so we walked up to the window to order. There is no inside seating. This location has drive-thru and window ordering option with outdoor seating only. The service was great and it was easy to place our order. The food was ready in less than 10 minutes although they seemed quite busy. My grilled cheese was spot on! They are located on the southeast corner of Colorado Blvd and Santa Anita Ave, across the street from the carwash and just north of Goldstein's Bagel Bakery. The parking lot is cramped, there's no indoor seating (only a few tables outside) and there's been a lot of construction at this intersection lately. I've walked here a few times with my coworkers during lunch time. Great tasting fresh fast food (5 stars)...the 4-star rating is for this particular location and its setup. Granted when this location first opened, I'm guessing Esther and Dan Snyder really hadn't made a name for themselves and the In n Out name hadn't become synonymous with "BEST EFFIN' FAST FOOD JOINT IN THE WEST" that kind of trickled its reputation all across the nation. Which leads me to the point of the drive thru for this location. It's tiny. You have 25 people lined up in the drive-thru in their giant SUV's and trucks waiting to get their gluttonous 12 pm fix of double-double with grilled onions and a side of fries (animal style), in a space that was originally designed to accomodate four 1975 Chevy Monte Carlo's at a time. This leads to a huge traffic backup on Santa Anita Avenue, people honking at your tail just because you are headstrong about fulfilling that insatiable weekly craving for some fresh cut potato french fries and a burger that can only be a burger the Gods would find acceptable to grub on. However, I commend In n Out employees for their work ethics. Quick and friendly service means the drive-thru time is reduced from what it actually should be (given the amount of cars packed into it). I placed an order here near our 4th of july luncheon which was on a Friday at work and staff here super helpful, they actually have my order ready promptly I had ordered 15+ meals. I have been to California many times but never make the time to eat burger specifically at In-N-Out. I don't eat burger normally that often anyway. This particular place is very close to the hotel I stayed, so I decided to not be on a diet for a meal. When I saw the place, I couldn't believe the line at the drive thru. So, I though to myself..hmmm...."that's a good sign. Burgers here must be very good." I walked up to the ordering window, and was greeted by a nice girl at the cash register. One of many things I noticed is that everyone that work here are nice. They smile when they greet you, they are just so nice and very polite. I even asked the girl, "what is an animal style for the burger?" She smiled (practically....laughed at me) and explained to me. After I ordered, I had to laugh at myself because I'm such a tourist, and such a non-Californian. I came back to the hotel and ate my burger. For a $5.50 meal, it was very good. It was a perfect size, not too small, not too large. The animal style is good, and I like the sauce. I guess whenever I come to California, I must make the time to eat at In-N-Out. The burger is that good. :-) I also support this company because of a little higher wage they pay their employees and I heard that they do work around their employees' school schedule. I have to admit that I was never as excited by In-N-Out as my non-Cali friends, but in the past year, I've really started to love this place. The key is to customize the burger in just the right way. A double isn't quite filling enough, and a 3x3 was so greasy, it made me feel sick. Two cheeseburgers are adequate to fill me up, but there's too many carbs and the meat ratio is too low. The lettuce wrap just doesn't taste right without the bun, and it's also not the same with no cheese. Here's the magic formula (if you're like me - love to eat but counting calories): a 3x1 (3 patties, 1 cheese), whole grilled onion (not chopped and grilled, not whole and raw - discovered this on accident after all these years), and extra tomatoes. I've gone there a few times and almost half the time it sucked. First time girl wouldn't let me see menu hangin from tablet and told me to just tell her what I wanted instead of the combo numbers and "she'd figure it out., Then just now around 3:00-3:09 I went to order 2 root beer floats. The guy taking the order just put root beers and when I had to correct the order the guy behind the cashier seemed frustrated and hastly made them. I think one of the root beers had ice in it like he barely emptied out the cup instead of using new cups. Well they were overpacked and started overflowing like crazy spilling on my clothes and console. My car is brand new, few weeks old and still has new smell. Well not anymore thanks to In N Out Arcadia! Now it smells like soda and ice cream on my seat and console. Didn't get to enjoy order when I got home, not that it mattered since hastly made and taste not In N Out quality that I paid for, because I had to hurry up and clean my car when I got home. Still have to put clothes in the washer to clean off the soda and ice cream. Thanks In N Out Arcadia. I called Customer Service which I've never done and used car bluetooth to call immediately which I've never done. I told rep I didn't want anything. I don't want dry cleaning for my clothes or my car to be detailed just pay attention to this location because something is wrong compared to the one in Rosemead and Pasadena. I told the girl I would reported this incident to the boss, and she said "goosh" again... well Ms CEO this is the real thing at Arcadia branch at night I dont know they need more people, but rudeness is getting more common here. Beauty is in the eye of the In-N-Out burger holder. This review is solely based on this location. I should just become an In-N-Out reviewer. Anyways...I'm a Californian, and as a native In-N-Out is in every healthy diet eating plan. It's good, it's cheap, it's quality. But for some reason this is my go-to location. Each time I order my burger..my usual: double single (2 meat & 1 cheese), animal style, extra grilled onions and a extra toasty bun. They knock it out of the park. It's always piping hot, cheese is perfectly melted, and it's as if they read my mind and bring on the extra lettuce. The lettuce is always crisp,cold and crunchy, the tomatoes are always sliced perfectly and the pickles are crunchy and crisp. The ratio of extra grilled onions is always superb. The extra toasty bun is crisp and warm. With the pairing of the warm and cold veggie toppings, it makes for one damn good burger. What you thought it would be like having your first bite is exactly this. Trust me I have had my fair share of In-N-Out and they aren't all consistent. All tasty don't get me wrong but this location is always consistent in my burger. read more

They have a not-so secret menu, which offers grilled cheese, a root beer float (which I suggest trying), animal style everything, monkey style (which I also suggest trying) and some other things. It is always busy, but usually moves quickly. I can't really comment on the staff because the interaction is usually only a few seconds. Yummy. This was yet another INO location for us to try :) . This location has no inside seating. There is a walk up window for those who don't want to use the drive thru and a few outdoor tables for seating. There are 2 drive thru windows for expediting orders and wait time. There were 5-6 cars ahead of us and it took about 6-7 minutes to get our order. Staff was very friendly and, once again, our burger orders were perfectly executed and delicious!! read more

This in-n-out burger location is in a very bizarre situation; the bagel shop on one side and signs all over the place that they won't tolerate parking from in n out. Their own parking can be headache too, if you get lucky and find a parking spot, you may just get stuck by other cars trying to order via drive-through. I love In-N-Out, but this one really lacks the professionalism and efficiency that I've experienced at others. Don't get me wrong, I will always go to In-N-Out no matter what because I love the burgers and the fries and the shakes. I've just had some crap experiences at this one. For instance, I had a coupon for a free burger and so I ordered it and once I got to the window I handed the coupon to the cashier and she snarlingly tells me, "Next time, say you have a coupon." I was shocked. Then another time they forgot a cheeseburger so my sister ordered another one at the window. Then the cashier asked if we could pay in cash instead of credit. We didn't have enough cash on us. I thought it was because the credit card machine was down or something. So minutes go by, and we're just sitting in the car and wondering what the heck is going on. Then the cashier brings in her boss and apparently, the cashier hit the cash button and didn't know what to do because we were paying with a credit card. Then finally one of the other workers suggest that she void the transaction. Really now? It really took 3 workers to figure that out. And then they made the cheeseburger wrong. argh. I grew up going to this In-N-Out and it's a shame that this one sucks compared to the others. I remember as a kid they forgot to give us a burger so my mom had to call in because we already left and we didn't want to go through that long line again. I have plenty of memories of this In-N-Out, I remember rolling into here prom night in a limo to have dinner.
