It benefits from being steadily busy without the crazy-long lines that the Stockton location perpetually has (have you SEEN the drive-thru at that place?!) The food, which is consistently great, was amazing! The burgers & fries were hot (as in the fries were literally sizzling when they came out!). i recently went here and decided to get carry out. The staff all wore masks but the inside dining was full of people and about HALF weren't wearing masks. the manager was visible and didn't seem to care or do anything about it. i asked one of the employees there why they weren't enforcing the mask policy during a PANDEMIC, the employee said that the managers couldn't do anything. seriously?!?!?! you could tell some of the employees were uncomfortable having to see people inside without a mask. We're in the middle of a pandemic right now and they're not even enforcing the mandatory mask wearing policy on guests???? So irresponsible. something needs to be done about this, they even have a sign outside that masks are required but they dont do anything once people inside are without a mask? read more

This location is alright. I prefer the other location in Elk Grove. I think they need to fix their intercom thing at the drive thru or the person working there is not paying attention. I felt like a broken record having to repeat my order so many times. Even as we pulled up to the first window I still needed to repeat my order. By the second window I had to let the staff know that my order was still in correct. Kind of took away from my cravings and hunger for my number two meal (cheese burger with onions cut in half and animal style fries with a strawberry milkshake). This is just about as good as fast food gets in the way of service and good tasting food that doesn't give you Montezuma's Revenge afterwards! No other burger joint has fries this good either! The most impressive aspect of this place is the service though. It's fascinating that a crew of such young workers can have the courteous smile and attitude that these guys do. Probably my least-favorite burger joint in all of California, by a very large margin. The service is good, the lettuce is crispy - outside of that... I just don't get the joke with In-N-Out. Their fries aren't edible. You tend to instinctively order fries with a burger - but at In-N-Out, they're basically there to be thrown away, not enjoyed. Maybe you'll try one, remember how much you don't like eating salted Styrofoam, and throw the rest in the trash. The buns... If the fries are Styrofoam, then the burgers seem to be made of some sort of paper substance that turns to cardboard when you brown it on the grill. It's a really strange texture, sometimes it tastes as if you accidentally ate some of the paper wrapping - but NOPE; that's just the bun. And finally... the burger meat. Ummm. I guess it might have some flavor. They tend to be a bit dry, not even as juicy of flavorful as something you'd get from Wendy's. You can get multiple patties, but multiple patties without any flavor just doesn't amount to much. And this party of mediocrity is topped with your average, forgettable American cheese. Alright. I don't eat fast food that often. It kind of freaks me out. BUT, when I do, I try and pick places that have fresh ingredients AND a good work culture (business environment and employee happiness). Not a lot of fast food places meet those pretty simple requirements and the drive on the 5 in the middle of California is a testament to poor eating habits and bad business practices. That's why I'm so glad that a few options have been popping up recently! In-N-Out has been at the Kettleman exit for a while now and it's my default go to place if I'm starving enough to consider eating fast food. Last night on my way home, it was a welcome beacon of light in the darkness. I went through the drive-thru which was luckily pretty empty and they got my order to me quickly. I had the standard burger with all the veggies and mustard instead of the sauce. The meat was very tasty, the veggies were fresh / crisp, and the bun was toasted to give it a little crunch. Super good! The restaurant is clean (I have been in before) and the staff are super nice and attentive. You really get the feeling that they all enjoy working there which is really cool! read more

I had my best in n out experience today at this location. It wasn't busy at all around 10:30 Tuesday night. I like my burger ooye gooye cheesy so I ask for extra melted cheese. The lady in the front took care of me and made sure it came out right. She brought it out and it looked just like the way I wanted it to be. Next step the first bite was heaven. Good ol' in-n-out. The quality & taste has been consistent since I was a kid. My fav fast food chain! The have YELLOW CHILI PEPPERS now! Dang they're super hot! Being from California I have been to my fair share of In-N-Out Burgers. But the one I have become most comfortable with is this one in Lodi. Based on wait times and costumer service alone, not to say their food quality is not the tops in comparison to other In-N-Outs but the speediness of the experience from the door to the seat is literally the best I have had. You know this place, likely the most popular burger joint in your town... Lines stretched from the register to the door and sometimes beyond.... Order takers walking the lines of the drive-thru trying to speed people up... Just as much people standing up waiting for their orders as there are sitting down demolishing theirs! But here in Lodi, even at the busiest of rushes seems to have it down and its due to no lack of customers. It's owed to amazing customer service. Last time I was there, I saw a nice employee hand deliver the food to a nice elderly woman who had every intention to get up and get it herself. When she thanked him, he smiled and asked if he could get her ketchup. He got her her ketchup, napkins, filled her drink for her and checked on her at least twice while she was there. I know the actions of one guy does not always reflect in the store, but it seems as though the store was reflecting in his actions. A happy environment, makes a happy employee which in turn... Makes a happy customer. The lack of the fifth star is simply because In-N-Out won't seem to make burgers any bigger than 4x4 and I just feel uncomfortable with all the scripture verses printed all over my containers. I come to in-n-out a few times a month, I'd say. The last several visits I made, were not the best customer service experiences, but I usually look past it because the food is usually consistent. Tonight, however, I had poor service and poor food. Both the order taker and food window gave no greeting at all. The girl in the food window just handed my food and said "have a good night" without looking in my direction at all and she didn't ask if I wanted spread or ketchup or anything. When she handed me my bag I got stuff on my hand and I was thinking it must be a spot. No, there was MUSTARD on the bag on both sides. I didn't have mustard on my food. It makes me wonder if they even wash their hands. Then I started eating my protein style burger, which I know is a little messy compared to a bun, but I do it it do watch the carbs. Well tonight, instead of being lettuce wrapped, there were like 4 broken pieces of lettuce on one side, instead a bigger piece. I feel like it's not that hard to use the broken lettuce on bun burgers instead. I just wanted it wrapped like usual with a whole piece of lettuce. Lastly, the meat tasted like Salisbury steak???? Over all i was pretty disappointed. I absolutely love In-N-Out in general and always look forward to my visits. Unfortunately this location does not meet up to franchise standards I've come to love. The service from the employees is extremely unreliable and they have messed up my orders on multiple occasions. I wouldn't suggest this location to those who suffer from food allergies or have specific dietary needs as they do not appear to have the capacity to individualize service like the other locations can. My favorite In-N-Out in the area!! I have been coming here for many years and I have never been disappointed. I am a very picky eater, so I make many substitutions to my order, and the staff is very willing to accommodate, and my order is always correct! (Veggie burger with whole grilled onion, extra tomato, add pickles) Every staff member I encounter always has a smile on their face, and are willing to answer any questions I may have. The environment is clean, including the bathrooms. The drive through line gets long at times, but when this occurs, they always have a staff member outside taking orders and they make sure to apologize for the long wait time. Compared to other fast food restaurants, this is by far the freshest food I have ever had. I recommend this In-N-Out to everyone! read more

French fries can be really hard and inedible but their brewed ice tea is worth the trip;) The worst In-N-Out I've experienced was in Novato, Ca., with rock hard fries and lousy instant ice tea.
