They were very bland and got limp and sad quite fast. I had to use tons of ketchup to make them edible. The employees here were very friendly and the store was clean. We're on our way to the airport and we stop by the famed burger joint of Southern California and we get the hamburger, fries, and soda combos. The food is cheap hell yeah. Fries are kind of stale but the burgers hit my mouth's G spot because they're simple yet juicy. They even come by to ask if you want your Dr. Peppers re-filled. They even have two dudes outside taking orders on an iPad as you wait in the drive thru window. My loyalty to In-N-Out knows no bounds, but even I have to admit this location is pretty weak. There is something off about this location. It seems darker, dirtier, and less efficient then any other one I've been to (and I've been to a lot). It's the closest location to SFO and it seems to have corrupted to by the morons at TSA across the street. I can't blame them, I feel dumber after talking to TSA for 10 seconds going through security. Despite all of that, this location still serves the iconic level of deliciousness that you can only find at In-N-Out. I'm not a fast food fan...I rarely eat it but I was on the West Coast and heard so much about In-N-Out, I had to try it. Holy wow is this good. The food actually tasted fresh and I didn't feel SO horrible from eating it. The price is also cheap in comparison to other places. Apparently there is a menu that they don't show but it's expected for people to know about it. I never thought it was possible but somehow these chuckleheads succeeded in screwing up what should have been a delicious burger. I was waiting for Caltrain and my train wasn't coming for a while so I figured I'd stop by and grab some food since I had seen this In-N-Out Burger before. At first I was pretty impressed. The bathrooms were quite clean and the cashier was friendly compared to other In-N-Outs that I had been to before. I ordered a number 2 (cheeseburger, fries, and a drink), and it came quite fast. It wasn't until as I was walking back to the Caltrain station and I started eating my burger that I realized that these guys did indeed put together a number 2 meal in terms of bathroom speak. To begin with, the meat wasn't even cooked. I was biting through traces of pink, and if there's one thing I hate it's undercooked ground beef. And then to top it off the burger was so moist and sloppy that it ended up creating a hole in the bottom of the bag. It wasn't until I noticed that I had a left a mini-trail of french fries as I entered the train that I realized that there was a hole. If you've been around California over the past 40 years, you know all about the In-N-Out urge. I've been to dozens of them from the BA to Texas. This one is close and great if you're at SFO. If you could walk in a straight line without a freeway present, it would be a 20 minute walk from the terminal. It is eternally busy with 20-30 minute wait in line times common. What I hate about this location, is the rich, self important people who come here and hog unnecessary seats at tables, occupying more seats than they have people in their group. All in the name of being more comfortable at a fast food restaurant and getting more space while they're at it. read more

The secret menu is always amazing (I looooove the neapolitan shakes). I don't always splurge and get animal style fries, because they're really heavy, but those are always good too. In n Out remains to be my favorite fast food restaurant, this location however is below average standard. A simple animal style burger and fries order resulted in a cold-bun, no thousand island and no mustard sauce burger, even the cheese wasn't melted. And when they called my order number, they forgot about the fries I ordered as well. While eating inside, I noticedany of the tables were littered with trash, but no employee was cleaning any. I'd let it slide if it was hectic and busy, but when I was there, there were hardly any customers, so there is no excuse for messed up orders or dirty floors. Late night eats, drive thru, AND credit/debit card = deadly for my peninsula night owl tendencies. Seriously. I avoid carrying around cash and that fact alone has saved me from many impulsive simple carb moments - I live minutes away from this branch. Now I'm doomed. In recent months, it's been easier to stay away since I'm always a little weirded out by the biblical references on their meal wraps. But, with my favorite Burgerville joint all the way up in the pacific northwest (Burgerville baby!), I had to embrace a little religion w/my fries. And notice I've only been weirded out in 'recent' months - I've been eating In-n-Out meals for years. What can I say? There is a reason why in and out burgers sell like crazy. They have a simple tasty menu and always deliver fresh and quality food at a great price. I wish they had In and Out on the east coast. I don't know why they are not out here. At the prices and quality they have, there would be no competition on the East Coast. I actually spend less money here sometimes compared to McDonald's but get much healthier and tasty food. There is no reason to eat at McDonald's if you have an in and out in the same area. So tried it, and I gotta say, they are pretty on it for a fast food burger joint! Their "Double Double" and an order of fries, to me is a big enough meal for two to share! The milkshakes are awesome too! Although they only offer them in three classic flavors, they make it just like homemade! For the carb conscious, they offer what it called "The Flying Dutchman" which is a burger patty wrapped in lettuce. My advise get everything "Animal" style! I used to think this place was a bit overrated, sort of like five guys on the east coast. I am now a changed man though. The only issue I had with this location is the horrible parking and exit situation back onto the road. Also a bit of a wait for the food too but that is standard at all of this chain. I love the value of just the fries and a burger animal style under $5. The seasoning on the burger and the toasted bun with all the fixins are just excellent. The nicely crispy fries with a size that is just enough is perfect. I love seeing them with the real potatoes chopping them up too.
