Assembly line perfection. This In-N-Out location is still just as good, if not better, than when I originally posted a review. With a couple of years since they opened, this crew cranked out burgers and fries like clockwork. On time. Friday lunchtime crowd was very busy. We considered the drive-thru, but the line of cars around the store and down the driveway was a bit much, even with that extra employee out front taking advanced orders beyond the speakerbox. That line, and someone needed to use the potty. Even with the line inside stretched to the front door, it actually moved quickly. The wait for our food was fast, given how slammed the kitchen was with orders. My flavor is the single cheeseburger, animal style, with chopped chilies. I prefer their shoestring fries done light well so they are a bit crisp and don't turn soggy from getting steamed in the to-go bag. Kudos to this store location. Friendly cashier, tasty food, and the speed of service during the busy lunch rush exceeded my expectations. That's what it's all about. read more

Fast - you do go in and out depending on what kind of order you place. I got a cheeseburger and found out that I could have a cheeseburger to go separated! The odds huh? So apparently there are customers who bring the in-n-out burgers to different states and sometimes request everything to be packed separately so the food tastes better when you combine it yourself when you want to eat it. It was bit astonishing for me as I never knew this could be done. I devoured my burger happily after I got it after a 5 minute wait. Quick, fast and tasty. And usually the best after you drank a bit :) And then ate the other one the next day! read more

They're in the same parking plaza as Kohls. Of course the drive thru gets busy as do the lines inside the restaurant during peak hours. We visited this location a week ago before Christmas as it's close to Kohls and Costco (two awesome places to Xmas shop ya know). Parking is a cinch and the line to order (inside) moved pretty quick. It's kinda standard that you hawkeye people eating while you're standing in line so that you can nab their table. The turn over of customers eating here seems quicker than other locations so that's a plus. Our burgers tasted fresh and well worth the wait at any In N Out location. This location has the sport peppers next to their ketchup dispenser so make sure to look for that if you want a complimentary nibble while waiting for your burgers. read more

Probably the worst in n out visit we have ever had. 30+ min drive thru wait. Super dry and overcooked, prices went up slightly and burger patty got super tiny. McDonald's cheeseburgers have a larger patty. Buns burned and crispy. We ordered 6 burgers and all of them are the same everyone disappointed. read more

I don't need fancy burgers with gourmet toppings although I'm not opposed to them. But when I have carnivore cravings and want almost-instant gratification, In-n-Out will always fit the bill for me. It's simple menu is ideal for the perpetually indecisive person who gets overwhelmed by a massive menu. You either want a burger with fries or you don't. Easy peasy. Back in the day, they used to have offer banana flavored milkshakes in which I would mix with their strawberry milkshake. Makes me sad they no longer have that but my life will go on. You can also try a creation off of their not-so-secret-secret menu. This location is just as friendly as the other locations, offers speedy service and piping hot fresh food. Usually service is good but recently the last two times I've been here, I've had a horrible experience. The first time they served me 2 burgers that were still frozen. This location is the best when it comes to quick service and great tasting burgers and fries! I usually get a double double protein style with grilled onion and peppers inside. I've been to a number of In-N-Out locations in SD area and hands down this is the best one yet! My protein style burger came out extremely well wrapped where all the lettuce was in place which makes it a thousand times easier to eat versus eating it like a complete mess (which happens all the time!). The customer service was great as they were very welcoming and made the process of ordering go by super quick. I really appreciate how the employees summarize your order back to ensure it was entered in the system correctly. I'll be making more trips when I'm in need of a quick fresh burger fix! read more

I'm surprised that this establishment has not figured out how to shorten weight times. I only moved to this area six months ago and I've been here about six times and each time I have waited in the drive-through line a minimum of 25 minutes and this is during the week when the lines are not that long and the weird thing is that my food is not hot when I get it so they're getting the food cooked but it's sitting for some reason, just like everybody else I've had ample opportunity to walk through the window while I wait and I think a whole lot less talking and joking around with increase productivity. During a lunch time rush- the Poway location was very clean and my order was prepped relatively quick but still tasted as good as ever. This place has unfortunately CONSISTENTLY messed up my order when I ordered from the drive thru not 2, not 3 but 4 times.. I honestly don't understand, especially if I've worked at a sandwich place myself.. Everybody has their stations but it seems they don't train people very well here... Updated: Unfortunately, we go back here cause it's the closest to us and always giving them the benefit of doubt. We said our order at the drive through. There was some confusion but she even repeated the order back to us and we asked the girl at the window to repeat what our order was but they still got it wrong... We waited 40 minutes through the drive-through line which moved at snails pace, typically we have always admired how the employees hustle in the kitchen at other In-N-Outs, but it's not the case here. Also, they got our order wrong and skipped a drink even though we ordered four meals, and when I asked for an extra cup to split one instead of having to ring up a new one, the young girl at the window made it extra difficult with unnecessary attitude. One of the many In-N-Out locations, and as always especially this one it was top notch. It's right next to Kohls and in the business area so it's not like a huge plaza or anything, but I bet it gets just as much business as all the other ones since hungry company workers wants a nice fresh burger at a very convenient location for them! It's also close to the gym I go to, so I can get a (nice) post workout lunch and get some protein gains. Parking is great, it's a nice big open area so there's no trouble finding parking. Their tables and the drive-thru are obviously busy during peak hours, but it goes fast! But if you do go during peak hours make sure to scout and snatch a table asap as other hungry folks are having the same idea haha! Customer service as always is great and the workers here are nice and respectful. I ordered a double-double with no tomatoes and both kinds of onions and french fries well done. What can I say!? It's in and out lol. Burgers and vegetables are always fresh and perfectly stacked. I've tried other in and out locations that add to much salt to the patty or not sure what they do. But this locations is always on point with all orders or any changes that a customer might have. Staff is always kind and helpful. Seating is tight most of the time. Restrooms are typically clean and not smelly like other in and out restaurants. Definitely my go to place for simple but yet delicious burgers! read more

The boy in the dining room was keeping himself busy constantly checking on tables, bringing orders to the customers, picking up trays and cleaning tables and all of this with a smile! It's In-N-Out, how can you not love them?!? This is a very typical location: It's very busy at peak times, and getting a table can be like battling on a field of gladiators. When the weather is nice (which is 90% of the time), the family and I sit outside to enjoy our lunch. They are also excellent value for your money. The Hubs, Wee One, and I can grab lunch for under $20! When does that ever happen anymore? If you have never been to an In-N-Out before, their menu looks pretty simply. They offer three varieties of their burger, fries, sodas, and milk shakes. That's it. They do just a few things and do them super well. If you snoop around on the internet, you'll find their (not so secret) secret menu items. I always order a Double Double "animal style" with well done fries, and I scarf down every messy mouthful! Yea... 5 stars to this fast food joint! You looking for something easy, fast, cheap, good... In N Out fits the bill! Yes I think the patties got smaller over the years, but can't really complain since I think compared to some other fast food joints, they still have the freshest ingredients. Granted there's not too much to their menu... in my eyes that's a plus. I find some menus overwhelming and sometimes I just want a simple burger. That's where In N Out comes to the rescue. You can always change the menu up a bit with animal style fries, burgers, grilled onions, protein burger (no bun, just lettuce) and can't beat a good grilled cheese as well! When I'm in the area for Costco, Walmart, Home Depot, etc and not really feeling the Costco food court, this In N Out has been my go to. I ate at this location last night 3/1/20, and have ended up getting food poisoning (violently throwing up...and other issues) only after a few hours. I know In n Out did this to me because I had only eaten my usual foods at home prior to this happening. I loved In n Out but after this experience (and many of my friends saying they too have gotten food poisoning from in n out) will not be eating at ANY in n out from this day forward. It's located in the middle of a busy industrial part of Poway so lunch time on a week day is extremely crowded, regardless I'm always pleasantly surprised by how quickly my food comes out. Yesterday it only took 5 minutes from placing my order to walking out! I got a hamburger protein style, and splurged on some animal style fries, everything was hot and fresh and all my customizations were exactly how I ordered.
