This restaurant is so nice and beautiful. I love the flower decor, reminds me of the Japanese Cherry blossom. For appetizer, I had to get the pork gyoza. They were crispy and good. For sushi, I got the shrimp tempura which is my favorite and what I always get. I tried the mango shrimp roll. It had chunks of mango the gave the roll a nice sweetness. For dinner, I got the Hibachi Combo with chicken and steak and white rice on the side. It tastes so good and portion was big. Definitely try this place out, staff were very nice and food service was fast. You also get a complimentary miso soup.

Such great sushi and such a great price! I shared some of their maki rolls and tried the chirashi and the tuna and salmon on crispy rice. Those crispy rice bites were so good I'd go back just for them! The service was super fast and all the fish was super tasty! I'll have to come back for their great weekday lunch specials. Also the backyard! I took a peak while there and I'll have to try sitting there next time!

Amazing ambience first and foremost. The way you feel here is truly wonderful. They just completed a renovation that looks so warm and regal!! I've been a fan of this place for years. The sushi is very fresh and the presentation is just awesome!! This food will make you happy for sure. Lastly, but not in any way negative, the service is too notch and you will love these people. You will not be disappointed at Inaka!!! Thank you !!!

Inaka has great lunch specials plus they deliver. After eating here many times, the quality is still good (was better). The prices are competitive for the area.

Inaka is probably my favorite Japanese place in downtown Brooklyn. Their salmon is cooked very well, and everything about their meal has a home-cooked Japanese meal feel. If you order fried rice, you'll see little bell peppers added to the rice - it reminds me of my mom sneaking in more vegetables everywhere to get me to eat healthy Each bento box comes with a California roll, salad, miso soup, and edamame - and portion sizes are very filling. This place is amazing and highly recommended! There hasn't been something I haven't enjoyed eating yet. What we ordered: Salmon teriyaki combination bento box Chicken Katsu Eel avocado roll Shrimp tempura roll

I ordered a 3 roll lunch special for take out and have to say I am very disappointed in the quality of the meal. I order two shrimp tempura rolls (spicy and regular) and an eel avocado. The shrimp tempura rolls were both soggy and unappetizing to eat. The eel avocado was very slimy and I could not finish eating.

Ordered 3 roll combo, I should've looked at the previous reviews they're really small don't know how fresh the sushi fish was it was like an appetizer for 1695 and they don't give you condiments I requested spicy mayo and I only give you a dab of wasabi probably won't try it again it's nothing like sushi in LA it comes plentiful

We haven't been to Inaka lately and decided to support local. Pleasantly surprised with the quality of the rolls! We love the Crazy tuna roll (hot tip- substitute the crunch for jalapeño - saves a few calories and adds a slight kick)! The 3 roll special is a fantastic deal and the fish was fresh. I love that Inaka doesn't pour on the sauces, just enough to get the flavor but not mask the fish. Also, the edamame portion was a really nice size! Will order again soon!

Such a great value at an affordable cost! I ordered the lunch special to go. For $12, I got a salad, soup, sushi roll, fried rice, edamame, and Shrimp Tempura. The Shrimp Tempura was really good! It was dipped in a special sauce. The sushi rolls were very fresh. This is definitely a great place for take out. I'm excited to actually eat in the next time I frequent this establishment.

Vanderbilt roll!! Look at that tempura soft shell crab :)

I've ordered food for delivery twice from here and also ate in at lunch once. The fish is pretty fresh, and they use reasonable sized portions in their rolls. The lunch special of 3 rolls with soup and salad for $11.50 is a great deal. However, I wish I had known that the shrimp tempura roll is mainly cucumber! Why?? I could not even taste the shrimp tempura, since 2/3 of the filling was julienned cukes!! The vanderbilt roll was tasty, with a healthy portion of soft shell crab, and when you order a spicy salmon roll, the entire roll is filled with salmon. My main gripe with these rolls was that the "spicy" was just not present. It tasted more like ground up, on-its-way-to-be-raw-fish-pate salmon rather than spicy salmon. I had also ordered the "spicy girl roll" and it was NOT. SPICY. AT. ALL. Very unhappy. Just please please make it spicy! Throw in some sriracha or something!

Spicy tuna, Lobster Salad Avocado Roll and Sesame Tuna Avocado Roll!! Delicious as always

I order from here ALL the time. Consistently fresh fish and very delicious! Highly recommend

The menu is pretty diverse with various appetizers, sushi, and also ramen/curry so your standard izakaya fare. One of my favorite dishes here has been the chirashi. The fish was very fresh and it's pretty affordable. I've only ever been here in groups of two and I probably would recommend it for smaller groups because the space itself is small and most of the tables are two-seaters if I recall correctly.

It's been open for a few years, so clearly it has a good enough formula to keep the neighborhood happy. I have been here once before, but returned last week after dining several meals at Tomoni in Jackson Heights. Apparently, the owners are friends. Nonetheless, I needed to make the comparison. After my first few bites of their Tora Don and Chirashi Don, it was clear that this restaurant has the better quality seafood. Each slice of sashimi had vibrant colors, clean taste, and the proper texture. Tomoni is not bad, but fall slightly short of this caliber. With that said, there is an even farther gap between their rice quality. Though Tora is very good, Tomoni produces nearly perfect texture and acidity for my taste buds. Other than the best omakase restaurants in NYC, Tomoni shines as one of the best versions of sushi rice in the five boroughs. Service is good and space is cute. If I have a craving for some decent Japanese food, I would drive 20 minutes here for a meal anytime.

While wandering through Bed-Stuy on a weekday evening, my husband and I decided to try out this new…read moresushi spot. It wasn't terrible--but I had a lot of mixed feelings. Food: 3/5 I'm a huge sushi fan, so I was excited when I saw a deluxe sashimi set on the menu. Unfortunately, it didn't quite hit the mark. The scallop was thinly sliced and lacked the rich texture I was hoping for. The salmon and other cuts were decent, but short and oddly shaped--chunky yet small, which made the whole presentation feel a bit off for something labeled deluxe. We also tried to branch out and ordered the short rib entree. For $21, it was shockingly small--definitely a single-person portion, not sharable. I added extra ikura to a salmon donburi bowl for $2, but it was barely a teaspoon's worth--just enough to say it was there. Oddly, the salmon slices in that bowl were thinner than the sashimi we had just eaten, and overall, it left me still hungry even after sharing a maki roll. Lastly, my husband ordered a green salad, which somehow took the entire meal service to arrive. When it finally came, it was just plain romaine, cucumbers, radish, and dressing. For a dinner that clocked in at over $150 (after tip), we definitely left underwhelmed. Service: 3/5 This part wasn't bad, just confusing. We were seated quickly, but the pacing of the meal was strange. Our seaweed salad and soups came out promptly, but the green salad came last, after the hot dishes and nearly after my husband finished eating. Also, a small thing--but when I'm paying $16 for four oysters, I want to know what kind they are. The menu just said "West Coast oysters," but our server couldn't tell us the variety or origin. Not a huge deal, but it added to a general lack of polish that didn't quite match the pricing. I don't think I'd return. For the price, there are better sushi options in Brooklyn with higher quality, better portions, and clearer service. Still, I appreciate new spots opening up in the neighborhood, and I'm always happy to try something new. Hopefully they refine the menu and service with time.

We started with the salmon belly carpaccio which I'd say isn't really a carpaccio because the salmon isn't sliced as thinly as you'd expect. But! I mention that just to set expectations. Nomenclature aside, it's an excellent appetizer. Served in a truffle and ponzu sauce, the salmon is lightly seared which yields two different textures to the fish. It practically melts in your mouth. Highly recommend this dish. For my entree I went with the trio don, which is 6 pieces of sashimi served over your choice of plain or sushi rice (sushi rice for me). The fish was fresh and flavorful. The portion was perfect for me. My boyfriend ordered a yellowtail roll and enjoyed that as well. We also shared a carafe of the cold house sake. I'd definitely come back and try more items on the menu. It's great for sharing and trying new dishes. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the prices were very reasonable.
