Summary - I'd say a 4.5 rating. went for a quick fix of the Peruvian chicken and came out knowing I'm not going anywhere else for Peruvian chicken again. 2-3 people for 20 bucks is super value for money too. Pros Juicy well cooked chicken, so tender and roasted feel to it. Felt lighter and less stuffed. Sauces are much better than other places. The yellow one is just spectacular. When it first opened this quickly became my favorite rotisserie chicken place. Unfortunately, they have the absolute worst customer service and not due to a language barrier of any sort. They simply just don't communicate. If there is no chicken ready to serve or sell, then notifying the customer before they order that I'll take 30-45mins is the right thing to do. This isn't the first time it takes forever and no one says anything about it. There were people waiting even before I got there that had not received their meal. Another concern I had was that there was bleaching and sweeping going on around the food, but this is a more of a personal health concern. So it's the chicken good, yes! Decided to try this place since they were new to the area. Ordered the Pollo Saltado to go. The dish comes with fries which i wanted to change for beans. Apparently you can't since they cook the fries with the pollo saltado. what this leaves you is a to go container that looks a mess. a lot of juice mixed with a little bit of chicken and a lot of soggy fries. Not only do you have soggy fries but since the fries are already somewhat salty before they throw them in the sauce, the sauce now becomes extra salty. I can't seem to understand the fries thing, and the only thing i can conclude is that it's a way to prevent having to use more meat. The prices of the dish was also $3-4 more than some other local spots that actually give you more food. I will not be returning to this place nor can i recommend it to anyone else. read more

Recently seems to have changed names. However, quality of the food and service is just as good as before. I have been coming here for quite a while and I'm glad they kept the same flavoring on the chicken. Although they changed names, I noticed that the people working are the same as before. I was pleasantly surprised when I received my food. It was absolutely and unapologetically homemade. I loved my quesadilla. My mother in law ordered a quarter chicken with rice&beans with tuca fries and in one bite I was transported back to my childhood in my mom's kitchen. I can honestly say I was not excited to eat here when my father in law chose this place but it ended up being a great meal! I'd have to agree with Lisa R, the chicken taste more like baked chicken than anything. The restaurant does not smell like charcoal and the food is overall underwhelming. The sauces also lack the Peruvian feel I get from other Peruvian chicken locations. They also give you a watered down version of ranch for your salad. Two star experience at the best. read more

Recently went there under their new name but the same owner was there?! Do not know what happened but they went downhill. The chicken was no better than a rotisserie from Safeway which is only 5 BUCKS btw. Meaning, not flavorful at all! I paid $12 for a half of chicken platter; but, since I ordered fries and plantains as my sides, they up-charged a dollar for '2 fried sides'! LOL & YUCK. I wouldn't waste my time coming here again. Way too expensive for a bland taste. They have a waitress for the capacity of 25 ppl. They messed our order up with only three other orders in. Instead of bringing us out fountain drinks that we paid $2.40 for, they brought us 12oz cans which they recommended taste better. We asked for rice and beans as an extra side and they put a whole bed of rice over 5little beans and sauce. It was terrible. We will not be returning to this location ever again. The owner's secret las brassas marinade recipe is the most interesting, delicious one I've ever had. Sadly, it doesn't penetrate the meat. I was disappointed that the sides were limited to carbs or salad and would love to see green beans or something else to make it more nutritious. I'm not a white meat chicken lover--because it's usually so dry, but I ordered the 1/4 chicken, and it was so tender, that I forgot I was eating white meat. For less than $10, I got the chicken, a heaping side of rice and a generous side of yuca with two sauces. I came in for lunch and didn't even finish it all because it was so much food. Go to King Pollo down the street. They make it better and have better service. Here, they forgot to include one of my sides and offered me a free 1/4 dark as a prize promotion, but forgot to put that in my bag, too. The yellow and green sauces are unusually watery. The chicken isn't as tasty as the nearby competition. It was about the same price, though. So, there's no reason to eat here. I hope they can improve.
