Worst place ever! My husband & I stopped coming to this place a few years ago but then my husband didn't want to drive to Walnut Creek, so we decided to give it a try again. BIG MISTAKE!!! ceviche was good, lomo saltado was horrible. Out of 12 slices of meat 9 were not chewable! I called our server and he said the cook told him all meat comes with fat! This is supposed to be sirloin steak! and please, who do you want to fool. I'm Peruvian and I make lomo saltado and never in my life have I had a piece of nerve as sirloin steak. We came her for a group lunch. I should have known when only 1 other table was filled when we walked in. But we decided to stay and give it a try. The menu is very extensive and takes quite a long time going through it. And once I finally decided on something (the Pollo a la Brasa) they said that they weren't serving it that day. Even though there was only 1 other table, the service was really slow. The waitress seemed more interested in what was on her phone that serving her customers. The food once it came out was a good portion size but felt very overpriced for the quality. I've had much better. read more

I love this place we are regulars here. First there is always parking this is not an over crowded parking lot. The place is pretty big and open. The specials are always in the front where you can see them. There is a huge tv so you can watch any game. This place is good for a date. The seating is pretty private. The service is good. We have been here over 10 times and the food has always been consistent. They have one of my favorite dishes a seafood mix ceviche. The food is always cooked properly and the presentation is always on point. The thing I love the most is everyone in my family has a favorite dish at this place. Best Peruvian restaurant that I have tried outside of Peru. I am not sure why this place doesn't have great reviews but the food is absolutely delicious. I always get the duo Marino which is half arroz de Marisco and half ceviche....best of both!! The portion size is very generous. One order is good enough for 2 meals. Service has always been horrible here, I've even reached out to the mgr once when I was there. Food is good most of the time. But today was where I draw the line, I ordered an Arroz Chaufa and I got something that looks like couscous or quinoa chaufa. It was a big ball of starch in my mouth. Ate some of the meat and asked for the check. Server asked if I wanted a to go container. I told her this is something I would never put out on a table, it's trash. I was a waiter during my first years of college, if I saw something wrong with the food I was taking out, I would never bring it out to a customer and say something. 1 star because my wife enjoyed her tamal until she saw the blob of sh¡t on my plate. I've been going for many years to eat the famous Pan con Chicharrón. Unfortunate not only they switch the good bolillo bread they used to serve the chicharrón on it and now they are serving the cheap bolillo bread from Food Max (worse bread ever) but also the owner made me pay for it even though I was unsatisfied with the product. The waitress ask if I kindly pay for it otherwise she would be charge for the unpaid food. I have NEVER gone to a restaurant where you have to pay for an unwanted food. Worse customer service, I hope the price I pay for the unwanted food makes your restaurant a lot richer. read more

My husband is Peruvian and my little family loves Peruvian food. We have tried almost all Peruvian restaurants in the Bay Area besides a few. We've gone here a couple times and that's only because the food is delicious. But this past time we were a party of 3 on a Wednesday. There was maybe 4 other tables but there was two servers. So shouldn't be a long wait right? We walk in expecting to be greeted and the lady looked at us with the sourest face. It was horrid. She walks past us twice without even saying anything but looking at us. Like are we supposed to seat ourselves? She finally decides to tell us to sit and she's rude all together. Took forever just to order drinks and then once we got our drinks it took her 20 mins just to come back to ask us what we wanted to order. It wasn't busy at all. The only reason we would come back is to try out the service one last time because the maracuya is so refreshing and I love the pollo asada and arroz con pollo. If the service sucks again we may never be back here and just go to Lima. GET BETTER WAITRESSES! read more

The customer service was not the worst thing based on what I read here. My experience is just that the food is completely overpriced! A chicken leg quarter with rice and sauce + a can of coke cost me $30. Absolutely ridiculous. The person in the front said that prices went up and I do understand this business but I know what food cost in this area is and you are still being greedy. The food cost for this dish is about $4 and should be priced times 4 at $16 bucks or $18 max. If you don't start listening to what people are saying in the reviews then your restaurant won't be able to survive. You have to fix problems and then do marketing so you can get in enough clients that will pay reasonable prices but will add up for you. First of all, this is in a shopping center where you would least expect to find such a gem of a restaurant. It's right in between the 99 cent store and the TJ Maxx... The door of this place looks like a shady Irish pub, but once inside you'll be pleasantly surprised. They opened on Friday April 17, 2009. A friend and I went for dinner on the following Monday. The place was understandably empty, but 3 huge plasmas rockin' some latin woman in concert kept us occupied. I got the arroz con pollo, and my friend had the pescado sudado con camarones. They were both pretty good, but what really stood out is the CEVICHE MIXTO. All I can say is W-O-W. Really fresh, all the right ingredients, and a pretty hefty portion. You must try it. We were very well attended to constantly (by 3 different people, as a matter of fact) so that made things nice. They knew their stuff, and as far as I could tell were "authentic"... That means what ever you want it to mean, but it ends up adding to the ambiance haha... I would give this place 4-stars, but the extra star is for not BS'ing the customer. The food is not the absolute best I've ever had in my life, but it's not trying to be. They charge reasonable prices, and in return you receive more/better than you would expect for that price. That, coupled with what this place COULD be, adds up to a 5-star experience. I hope in the future they can start serving up some nice Sangria and add in a full bar (there's plenty of space in there)... But that's wishful thinking. Initially I was disappointed because it took SO long to get served. Do not go there if you are starving. I mean it REALLY took a long time. The music was a nice touch, but it was so loud that it seemed easier to text the person you were dining with as opposed to actually speaking to each other. Amazing food! Ceviche de pescado and Anticuchos for lunch make the perfect combo! (With a cusquna- #shrugs) Had lunch with my brother, who also ordered ceviche de pescado. Last weekend, Incas Grill catered my diversity graduation, which resulted in raving reviews. (Did I mention that the ceviche was amazing?) They made the ceviche on the spot and were super informative to all of the guests. At Incas, I usually get the lomo saltado (w/extra tomatoes). My husband and I have been here multiple times over the past few years and this review is based on today's visit (however a lot of other visits have been similar to today's). The service is always a hit or miss, depending on how busy they are. On a Saturday night they had 2 waitresses staffed. Clearly not enough considering there were at least 15 tables they needed to tend to. We were never checked on during our meal which would have been nice considering we all needed water. The food is good. My lomo saltado tonight was pretty salty. However, the portion size was pretty big. The papa la huancaina was delicious and the ceviche was perfect. Oh, and the Chicha was great. Now, the pricing. This place totally overcharges. The papa la huancaina Appetizer had 3 skinny pieces of potatoes and it was $9 I believe. Really?$9 for .25¢ worth of potatoes and what, 15¢ for the sauce. If your going to charge $9, at least give your customers a whole potato. Not to mention my plate of lomo was $19! Come on. It would be understandable if the restaurant was located in a nice, upscale shopping center but it's not. It's right next to a 99 cent store where bums like to hangout. Overall, the food is good. Yes the flavor is good unfortunately the food that I ordered it was supposed to be hot when it was cold maybe the flavor was spicy but the actual food was colder than the room temperature that's for sure. The price of it is absolutely to the roof for the portion that they serve I feel that it is not Equivalent to whatever they're charging. I got may be half of a potato covered with sauce for $11 which weighed about maybe a quarter of a pound and it was eight in less than six bites. I've only ever ordered take out from here, so I can't really speak to the service. I LOVE their food. The arroz con pollo is my favorite and the tamales are amazing. The only reason for the three stars is that this place is WAY overpriced. A plate of arroz con pollo (chicken and rice) is $17. The two cheapest ingredients to make a dish and it's so expensive. I live a few blocks away and I would eat here at least a couple times a week, if the prices were reasonable. Right now, I go there once or twice a year. They really should consider lowering their prices. Every time I've gone in there to pick up food, it's empty. I think they'd get a lot more customers if the prices were lowered. Ordered Pescado A Lo Macho With baja fish, shrimp, scallops, mussels, clams calamari and octopus. The fish was amazing but the dish was covered with 95% calamari, 1 shrimp, 1 tiny dime sized mussel and 2 clams. But overall it is completely overpriced their online menu needs to be updated because everything is completely different priced than what it is said. Then they came back to our table 4 different times to tells us they were out of something. The portions are large and the food very expensive.
