    Pupusas

We had a craving for Salvadorian food, and this restaurant delivered! We shared a few dishes, starting with the Empanadas de Plátanos con Frijoles and Yuca con Todo. It was my first time trying the empanadas, and while they were tasty, I think I'd prefer them with poliada instead of beans next time. I opted for the Gallina India sopa since I was feeling a bit under the weather. It came with a generous bowl of soup, chicken, handmade tortillas, rice, and a side of veggies. The soup was packed with veggies and it hit the spot, though the chicken was on the dry side. I also tried some of my boyfriend's pupusas, and they were fantastic - perfectly sized and delicious!

During a vacation in Northern California, I was craving pupusas and was recommended this spot. I must say, for the price, this place is awesome! I had previously purchased pupusas elsewhere for $5 each, and they were small. Here, I ordered three pupusas, and they filled me up completely. I know I will be back. I ordered Loroco and Revueltas pupusas, and they were fantastic. The horchata was delicious as well.

Amazing food and portions! They got a new look and now they have booths on both sides of the restaurant! Very nice and comfortable. Our waiter was really nice!

First time here, I came here to try the corn atole, not disappointed although they brought it after our food even though it was the first thing we ordered it was delicious; however the pupusas weren't that good, I had much better in other restaurants. Customer service was ok, the restaurant is clean and there's parking in the back. They have a huge selection of food if you don't like pupusas.

Before trying this spot, I've heard that the best Salvadoran food that one could get in the Bay Area is in San Francisco. At first, I had concerns about the quality of Salvadoran food in Concord, however, I'm glad that I took the chance. On a Tuesday morning, my girl friend and I dined in. As I walked in, I noticed the homey atmosphere of the restaurant. During our visit, the server was a young gentleman. Before ordering the food, we were asked about our drink orders. For our drinks, my girl friend and I opted for horchatas. What sets El Salvador's horchata apart from Mexico's is that Salvadoran horchata contains morro seeds. So, this drink resembled chocolate milk but I was surprised by its natural flavor. Furthermore, we ordered appetizers to share such as Tamal de Elote con Crema and Pasteles with carne. Although the Tamal de Elote aka sweet corn tamales are usually served steamed, I requested "frito" (fried style), and it didn't disappoint! I also loved the pasteles, which are these mini fried meat pies. Next, I ordered Pupusas Revueltas that consisted of pork, beans, and cheese. I loved how the exterior was crispy and not doughy. Additionally, my friend was a fan of the crispy cheese on the edge of the pupusas. Then, the server brought out the last dish which was the Bistec Encebollado. I think the stars of this plate were the meat and the beans. But, I wished the onions were more caramelized since some onion pieces were too overpowering. Besides that, I was pleased with my brunch. Thus, I would return to this spot when I'm in the mood for pupusas and I'm also open to trying the Salvadoran style breakfast on a future visit.

We loved their red spicy sauce and super crunchy fresh curtido. They are packed into small zip lock bags. I forgot to take photos since I was hungry. This little shop is in the middle of nowhere next to a small auto parts shop and parking is limited. The immediate area is ugly and industrial but the pupusas keep us coming back. Best taken to go. It's not a comfortable spot to eat in. We paid 4 dollars per pupusa to go. Friendly staff. Highly recommended.

My go to is the 3/$12 Revuelta pupusas and the Plantains with the beans . Top tier beans and plantains. I am so glad I found this place. It is very close to my work. I do recommend calling in your order at least 30 minutes before so that it'll be ready for you to pick up. sometimes they do not answer their phone but they will give you a call back. Keep in mind they do not accept tap pay, but they do accept Zelle and Venmo if you need to make a mobile payment. It is small and cozy inside but there are at least 4 tables if you want to dine in. They do have a few tvs if you were there to relax while waiting or out with your family. Being new to the area, this place will definitely be my go to for pupusas.

Pupusa time is worth a visit but unfortunately fell short for me…read more I ordered a 2 pupusa combo with revuelta and carne de res. Out of the 2, I think the carne was my favorite as I could taste more of the filling flavor. The salsa was good but I think the curtido could have used longer fermenting to give it a little more tang. The combo comes with a small side of rice and beans. Both had good flavors but the rice was cold and the beans were too thin for my liking. The beans had more of the consistency of a thin soup which I was expecting more of a chowder. The staff was friendly in greeting and taking my order. Service is slow but expected as good pupusas take time. My issue for my first time visiting was figuring out their system. I wasn't sure if they bring you a check or you go to the register when you're done. At the end of my meal I waited quite a bit after finishing my meal to see if they'd bring a check to me but ultimately just went up to the register after I felt like I sat there longer than I felt comfortable and just wanted to head home. Not sure if that's the correct process or not still.

They love this place and compare all other taquerias and restaurants that serve burritos. Burrito-Their favorite offering is their super burrito. No beans and sour cream and the guacamole on the side. My dad likes the sour cream and my more likes the guacamole. They split the burritos in half so each gets what they love. Mom says that this is quality guacamole and isn't that guacamole sauce that some restaurants use. I agree it's authentic guacamole. They folded the foil inside the burrito so that was a bit awkward. Taco Tuesdays- I'm not sure if they still offer taco Tuesday specials. We did not see any ads for it. Tacos- Tacos in general was not listed as one of their offerings that I could see. I was really disappointed as i really wanted a taco plate. While walking to our table we saw someone being served a taco so you can order tacos. Next time I'll inquire. Tostada- They didn't have tacos offered from what I could see so I got the next smallest offering and got the tostada. I wanted a burrito but, I didn't want that much food. My husband wasn't with me so I couldn't share with him. The tostada was tasty. It had lots of meat, enough for 2 tacos if I were to of had tacos. The meat was tasty and the sour cream and guacamole was a plus. Chips and salsa bar- They offer all you can eat free chips and salsa. It's serve yourself up front near the cashier. Parking- They are part of a strip mall so there is plenty of parking. There were a lot of parked cars when we arrived, Monday July 13, 2026 around 2pm. We did luck out and get a space right up front. Bathrooms- They have a unisex bathroom for their patrons. You do need to get the key from there that is kept under the counter. The key is attached to a basket. Offerings- They have a huge variety of food. From ice cream, smoothies, fresh juice, and all the hot food offerings a taqueria would serve. I love they have so many pictures of their menu items. I wish they had text next to the wall pictures so I can see what everything is. They also have a digital menu up front. Tables- They have many tables. Unfortunately the table we chose, the only free one wasn't bussed. We piled up the dirty dishes and drinks and put them to the side so we could still occupy the table. With the limited seating they need to have someone bus the tables more often. Ambiance- It's a taqueria and feels like one. The price of the food has skyrocketed over the years, but still reasonable price in comparison. It's a bare bones taqueria. Not decorated special to make you feel like you're in Mexico. They do not have TVs so you can't watch the World Cup while you are eating. If you are looking for a taqueria this is your place. You'll get a good meal. At the front of the store they have a money window.
