Walked into small dining area and we were greeted. Was warm inside. Ceiling fan not running but the fan near our table was turned on and did help. Not too busy when we walked in close to 6:30 on a Sat. I had made reservations thru yelp. The place quickly filled. We thought we were going to wait but service was adequate and the food came quickly. We ordered drinks(they do not have a full bar as indicated on yelp) I had the Pisco sour and my sister had the Pisco sunrise as recommended by Luis. They were good. We shared a ceviche mixto entree as an appetizer and planned to order the chicken. They did not have anymore, I was surprised and disappointed because we had planned to order it for our party of 4. We selected 2 more entrees to share, they were tasty, nice spices. Left feeling satisfied, did not over eat, but others may want their own entrees! read more

Absolutely wonderful even during Covid! Seating outside at about 6 pm is completely in the shade and very comfortable. We ordered everything from ceviche to the pollo asado and it was all delicious. We checked out this place cause it's close to home and was reviewed by Guy Fieri. First time trying Peruvian style meal. On arrival Tyler greeted us and sat us at our table. Tyler was very welcoming and pleasant with his always-smiling persona. I ordered the Lomo Saldata; it arrived hot. I liked how it looked. The angus beef looked really tender in the sauce mixed in with the yellow potatoes and peppers. Initially I asked for mild spicy, but when I tried the meal it seemed to me it was less than mild to almost no spice. But that's me. I like spicy food. Tyler brought some rocotto pepper sauce. That did it! That gave the meal the kick that made it very delicious. My brow was sweaty but I enjoyed each bite throughout the meal. I recommend ice water with it! Tyler was very good at keeping our glasses topped off. That's a plus. Overall very good place to eat Peruvian food. You won't be disappointed; but if expecting spicy when meal is by default "spicy", I recommend side of the rocotto peppers to seal the deal. Best Peruvian restaurant in Town. Great food, great service and beautiful outside dining!

I really wanted to like this place, having eaten in other Peruvian restaurants, such as La Mar in San Francisco. And while Inca's was understaffed, overworking our affable host and server, Enrique, we got off to a reasonably good start. The fries were ordinary, but the Causa Rellena with shrimp and Papa Rellena were good, as were the Pisco sours and the nice pour of Malbec. Entrees? The person who had Seco de Carne con Frejoles was happy, as was the one who had a grilled tilapia plate, but no one liked the Peruvian style seafood paella or the Picante de Mariscos. Flavors were oddly bitter and unpleasant, and the seafood quality wasn't good. The calamari was especially chewy, and tough mussels aren't nice. I won't even get into how they messed up our credit card charges. Just too bad. read more

Just ordered takeout and was really excited to try this place out. When I called I was told they didn't have any Peruvian chicken....sort of weird but ok. Picked up my order and was really disappointed when I got home. I ordered the jumbo shrimp appetizer, in all reality this was a boiled potato with three small shrimp....what a rip off. I called Inca thinking there probably was a mistake made but the guy on the phone said no and didn't really care. Thanks Inca for ripping me off. Just moved to Sunrise/Kolb and was looking for a quick dinner the night we moved in. Found this cute little place near Basha's so I stopped in. Every staff member was super friendly, and I told one gentleman I didn't know what they had or what I wanted so he recommended a $20 family meal. It included basically a whole chicken, French fries, salad and rice. Great flavor and fed my family of 4. I even got a free soda and some tasty fried corn (I think) while I waited. I would definitely go back to get the patio experience next time. read more

In Tucson for a quick trip and wanting to find something new and exciting. Never having had Peruvian food, the adults and kids were all happy. Food is very homestyle and presents authentic I would assume. Ceviche Mixto is a must for ceviche lovers, and their polo is fantastic in every way we had it. Don't pass on the pisco (authentic Peru liquor) on the rocks! If I lived in the area this would be a regular stop to work through the menu. read more

I loved their Papas Rellenas, the ceviche is just out of this world and the pollo a la brasa was juicy and flavorful. I tried the chicha morada drink which is a blend of spices and fruity flavors that goes well with the food. Can't wait to try their cocktails, and rest of the menu, I've heard it is really good too. Friendly service and wonderful food. We had tried Peruvian food for the very first time when we were in NYC last month and loved it so we were hoping to find a place in Tucson. This place did not let us down. It's in a shopping plaza and is somewhat small but nicely decorated and has nice outside seating. There was a lovely violinist playing the evening we dined. Our server was so friendly and patient explaining the menu options. Pisco drinks there are wonderful. We had a Papa Relleno for an appetizer and it was excellent. Our entrees were flavorful and reminded of the style of food we had while in NY. The whole experience felt authentic and exceeded our expectations. read more

Overpriced for the food they serve. I am peruvian, and do not consider this restaurant as my favorite. Not good service at all either.

I waited a long time to complete this review, and now I find myself realizing the food and the experience was not something I'd return to anytime soon, as the experience wasn't all that memorable to begin with. The menu was beautifully presented, and the choices were many. First off they should separate rating certain services here on Yelp, because they deserve at least a 4 regarding their service. While the gentleman who waited on us was not really friendly or helpful about the menu selections, he was still efficient at his job. I can't rate him in the speed of service, as we were the only people in the restaurant at the time. The food that came out was just ok. That's really the best I can say. It was lacking in flavor and all appeared to be really fairly bland. I will say that the free appetizer was the best part of the meal. Perhaps it was our selections, and maybe we'll consider giving it another go, but with all the other restaurants in Tucson it will most likely not happen anytime soon. I do see they fare well regarding their reviews, so it's not off the table to try again in the future. read more

I recently heard back from the restaurant. I received a very professional and apologetic letter including compensation for the series of mistakes they made. They explained that many things coincided at the same time that resulted in my requests for a refund to get bounced around and forgotten. The letter was hand delivered to my door so as to make the response personal and expedient. I appreciate this and do understand that many things and personnel go into hiring and running a business. I respect a business that admits when they have made an error and then rectify it. That is a class act. I look forward to eating there one day. read more

Mmmmm..came here for lunch today. I had the Aji de Gallina so delicious! Pulled chicken with jasmine rice, in a nice rich sauce, with boiled potatoes-the flavors were unique and I loved it. My daughter had some steak with bell peppers and onions. She loved hers as well. Great service, great interior, our only downfall not enough rice these dishes and highly aromatic and flavored so I could've used more rice. I have been to peruvian restaurants in Phoenix, Mesa, Los Angeles and one other one in Tucson and sadly none of them compare to the food at Inca's. I now live in L.A and I miss the Aji De Gallina, Anticuchos, and rotisserie chicken more than anything! I keep trying other peruvian places in L.A that get great reviews and I am still disappointed. Not to mention the fact that I have yet to find one that serves Pisco sour!! The decor is also completely horrific at other places. Inca's is the one peruvian restaurant that actually looks classy and well put together. No tacky metal decorations on the walls, no giant cheaply painted murals on the walls of "peruvian people" just beautiful colors working harmoniously together and paintings that dont give you a headache looking that at them! The Peruvian chicken is delicious! All of the flavors I remember from South America. It is located in a strip plaza, and the prices are reasonable. The chairs are not comfortable and they serve water in promotional glasses. I do not like how they have their TVs on - makes the experience less classy. What a surprise discovery. The food was absolutely delicious. From a signature passion fruit drink to an authentic Peruvian appetizer to the main course. We took all the wonderful suggestions from our bubbly, outgoing, delightful, knowledgeable server (owners daughter) and everything she suggested was a winner. One of my friends suggested we dine at Inca's. I looked them up on Yelp and found a pretty mixed set of reviews, so I was a bit apprehensive about the experience we were going to have. I shared my concern with my friends who assured me they had eaten at Inca's before and that it was good. When we arrived the place was packed on a Thursday night (good sign). We sat on the patio while a Peruvian flute band played in the restaurant. Being outside muted the music just enough to create a great atmosphere while making conversation possible. Service was attentive and friendly and the food was really good. I ordered the Carapulcra which is described on the menu as "Dehydrated potato (papa seca) casserole cooked with beef chicken and pork seasoned with a blend of Peruvian spices. Served with jasmine rice". The presentation was nicely done. Thin slivers of bell peppers in various colors adorned the top of the dish and the side of Jasmine rice was served in the shape of a pyramid. I enjoyed this tasty potato and meat stew with its interesting blend of spices. The spices n the dish aren't hot but were a different than those which I normally eat. I suspect this has more to do with my degraded American palate than the food. That said, I definitely want to return here and sample more dishes. The atmosphere at Inca's is pleasant and the service good. The food is tasty and different from anything I've tried before. I will definitely be eating here again. read more

Good food, pricey though. BUT portions seems to be shrinking over the years. Seems poorly run - out of ingredients frequently. No complimentary nuts last two times here. Ran out of chicken last time. No lamb tonight. Poor inventory/ordering or preparation. Bathrooms dirty. Always understaffed - never get drinks refilled etc. Doesn't seem to be managed well. Can't hear live guitarist on patio because they pump a CD in the outside speakers. HOW STUPID. Not excited to come back due to portion shrinkage, pricing, and them running out of items. read more

It was the worst restaurant experience we've had in years. The food was awful, the drinks were poor, the service was slow. I can't believe this was the same restaurant. The sad thing was I told several of our friends to go there. Apparently the restaurant lacks consistency and quality control. I can not recommend this restaurant and will likely never return. Their website has a lunch menu but when I asked for it the waiter said that they did not have one and that it should be taken off the website. I told him we had come for the lunch menu and his response was "Well too bad. What do you want to do write a letters of complaint? Fine." It was a Saturday night so I should have know better. The meat and beans that were severed first were cold. The place was packed and we waited over an hour and fifteen minutes for our food. I drink a lot of water when I am waiting and had to wait more then ten minutes for my glass to be refilled each time. The chicken was over cooked and the rice was dry. The weather was good and we sat outside. I was glad we were not under the fans above the tables under the over hang. They were filthy. The staff was friendly but were way understaffed for the number of tables. We were asked if everything was good, but there is no way I wanted to wait for them to fix the issues. I do not like extra spicy food so it was not a good choice on my part. read more

Here's some amazing food at reasonable prices with an impeccable view of the canyons beyond. The friendly, laid back service adds to the calm atmosphere that is tucked away in the corner of this plaza, and is a gem characteristic of its own.
