4.5 Stars This review is for the lunch buffet (We paid about $51 for 3 people before tax). What's better than being able to just stroll into a place and grab food right away when you're starving? It was marvelous and indulgent because everything was so good that it is hard not to gorge yourself. The buffet offers many options: meat, vegetables, starches, appetizers, sides, and even delicious dessert. I tried the tandoori chicken, goat curry, vegetable aloo, dal, butter chicken, and saag paneer, and more -- all flavorful and delicious. The creamy mango dessert was the cherry on top. I guess the only downside of a buffet is having to wait in line if it is crowded.

It's been 2-3 weeks since we went to India Bistro on Roosevelt so today was our lucky day!! Had the amazing buffet with so many great dishes - chicken pakora, butter chicken, naan, rices, multiple types of vegetable dishes, salads and their delicious rice pudding. If you want great Indian food, do yourself a favor and give their buffet a try! Best meal in town!!

Spectacular taste and value. We visited during dinner hour which was fairly quiet. The owner was short-handed and worked front service alone, but he is a warm and friendly guy. Great butter chicken and sizzling entrance on the tandoori! Can't say enough of the freshness and wonderful blend of aromas. Will definitely visit again

Really delicious flavors - we got seated right away on v-day - take that Italian restaurants nearby! Butter chicken and Chicken tikka masala were good, the cauliflower aloo gobi was fantastic and so memorable I ate an entire platter in one sitting. Good on fiber for the rest of the meal and night. The sweet lassi was also good. I'm glad I finally came here after nearly a decade of zooming by on Roosevelt on my way to Whole Foods.

5/5 for the buffet, no brainer. The lunch buffet is the best meal you'll find around Seattle. We always go to lunch buffet and am never disappointed. For takeout tonight, like 3.5/5. Tonight we switched it up and came during dinner, there is no dinner buffet so we ordered a bunch of unique items to go knowing they will never be on the buffet line. I would pass on the appetizer combination, it wasn't memorable. None of the items were crispy after a 15 min drive home. I would pass on the delhi Indian street food column of the menu...it's sort of like Indian nachos but topped with soggy bread which we found to be weird even though the flavor is good. Garlic basil naan was surprisingly bland, not sure if we got an off one but other people rave about it. It was fluffy and fresh though, but barely any garlic or basil. Tasted like their regular naan. Also don't get the papadum to go, it gets crushed into nothing but crumbs. I love their papadum at the buffet though, it's fresh and perfect and not crushed. The highlight of takeout to go order was mousse and tandoori. The paneer lababdar (or Korma) curry was delicious too. Anyways, I was impressed by the tandoori combination with different types of meats for $21. There's shrimp, a little ground beef, ground lamb for variety, but most of it was delicious tandoori and lemon tandoori chicken cooked just right. Juicy and delicious. A fair value too for the meat you get. The mango mousse is a good takeout item too, $4 for 8 oz of mousse. Overall we'll always come back for buffet and if we're in a pinch, we would get tandoori and mousse and a little order of curry to go. Pass on the appetizers and Indian street food.

    Date with price

First the main door is dirty and some other spots are too old and imagine how it looks like in the kitchen. Today they charged me 20.99 but on their web it is 18.99 not only that yesterday I was here with different price unfairly while other paid different. The server literally took him more than one minute while operating the cash register machine and I had a doubt then asked him what he was doing and he was kinda stuttering next told him how much the price was but he insisted on shamelessly. It's not about the money it's about moral, consistency, social responsibility and so on .

We went for the lunch buffet, which is now offered daily from 11:00-2:30. Really good tasting food. Good ingredients and warming spices throughout. The only caution I have for everyone is this: be ready for a mid afternoon nap because you will need it with a full tummy! We're regular customers and this place never disappoints.

We tried the smoked salmon dip with chips, the fried chicken sandwich and the the black cod kasusuke. The crab rolls were sold out by the time we got there or we definitely would have tried those. The salmon dip was good, lots of dill, and the chips were crispy. The fried fish sandwich was light, which was nice for something fried, and the roll it was on was soft and warm. The black cod kasusuke was my favorite dish of the meal. The black cod was tender and fell apart, and it was seasoned so nice. It came with a spinach salad and rice which was also delicious. If I could give half stars, this would be pushing a 4.5. Nothing blew me away, but everything was fresh and enjoyable!

So when I woke up still craving shellfish, RockCreek was the call. It was the right one. A dozen oysters to start: Kumamoto and Shigoku. Clean -- no grit, no sand. Whatever they're doing back there, it's working. The brine was full and present in every shell, and the mignonette hit that rare sweet spot of light but actually seasoned. The Winter Old Fashioned? Get it. It was so delicious. Then came the crab Benedict. The side salad alone was worth writing home about -- big, buttery, peppery leaves draped in one of those feather-light vinaigrettes that sounds simple until you try to replicate it at home and realize you can't. But the real star of the entire plate was the potatoes. Crispy outside, genuinely fluffy inside, seasoned with conviction. A masterpiece is not too strong a word. Closed with a glass of pink wine. Was eyeing the bottle with the piglet on the label, but it was bottle-only -- a distinction I find increasingly arbitrary as a former server and bartender. One day that policy will be a relic. We soon put our appetizer orders in, as well as our entrees. The calamari tasted fresh and crispy, what's not to like? The oysters I was recommended, tasted sooo fresh! The smoked salmon deviled egg was something I've never thought would work, but it tasted amazing. You can never go wrong with fish and chips, which tasted great! Have to admit at being disappointed in my latest experience at Dukes…read more It was about three weeks ago, the last Sunday in May. Went with my husband and met some family for lunch. We got there first, as the rest of the family went to the wrong location. So my husband and I were just there drinking water and waiting for them for a while. -I asked our waiter to please. "keep the water coming". Anyway, everyone finally arrived and we got things ordered. The food arrived in a timely way. Unfortunately, I have to report that their prices have gone quite high. I know most restaurants have had to raise their prices, but considering the food, both my husband, and myself felt that their prices were prohibitive, and with that in mind, we probably will not be back for quite a while. My hubbs had their lobster mac & cheese, which he gave a 7 out of 10. I had their lobster roll, which frankly, I could only give a 5 out of 10. It wasn't very flavorful, and definitely needed the dipping sauces that were served with it. Rather awkwardly put together as well, which made it kind of messy. Just kind of hard to eat. I did really enjoy their sweet potato fries though. Everyone else had various seafood dishes, which looked good, and one had a burger, which looked absolutely delicious. (I was kind of jealous once I saw it.) The service was good to begin with, but we had to flag down the waiter for water more than once. And towards the end of the meal, I was having some of that dipping sauce with the last of my sandwich; it was on the spicy side and I was out of water. Tried several times to get the waiter's attention, but it didn't work, and I had to literally yell at him to bring me some water. It was a little embarrassing, but I really needed it, & I was getting kind of mad! I mean, after all, I had made a point early on of asking him to refill the water. So that really kind of pissed me off. Because neither myself nor my husband had ordered any other beverage, & we really needed that water something fierce!! So obviously, I have mixed feelings on Dukes at this point. If money is no object, I'd say sure, go here and enjoy something tasty. But make sure you order some beverages so you don't have to count on the waiters for water!!!

I'm pretty sure I saw someone taking one home that they drank a few bottles out of also, which is a first. I was impressed by the creativity of the dishes as well. I'm not one to be impressed by cabbage, or ever order it, but the charred cabbage looked enticing. The cheese on the bottom, seasoning, and dates transformed this ordinary vegetable into a star. And of course you gotta see what they're doing with the seasonal veggies. I can't seem to ever cook squash the right way, but they crafted it into the ideal consistency where it was almost meaty. The place is small, cozy, upscale-rustic. The server was friendly, explained the dishes, and had recommendations when we asked. He told us the story about the desserts and aaaaaalmost won us over.

We were seated outside and had gorgeous views of the lake, downtown Seattle and all the sailors in Lake Union. We've visited in the past, and I recall the margarita being a highlight, so it was a MUST! It's on tap, and packs a powerful punch. This is 100% one-drink-buzz-girl approved. For apps, we started with the Marinated Geoduck. This was quite the trial of new foods for us. I had hoped for ceviche and our server convinced us to give this a try. It was deliciously marinated, served in fairly large pieces that fit nicely on a Ritz. I was proud of us for trying it - Yay us! Hubs and I shared the Seared Halibut. OMG - so buttery, flaky, melt-in-your-mouth. It was served on a bed of tartar, along with roasted green onion (?)(I think). We started off by inquiring about the rhubarb cobbler, which was highly recommended. It did not disappoint. So tangy, so tasty, simply superb! You don't often see rhubarb on a menu. This was better than expected! Great meal, fabulous evening!

We went on Father's Day Sunday to celebrate my husband with our 2 year old. Right from the beginning, they told us they didn't have any high chairs or booster seats, so the whole time, we had to try to keep him seated on our laps. The server also gave us 1 menu and stated " it was their only one", which what? Really? Anyway, we decided not to make it a big deal, and made the best of it, but we were disappointed to see that the menu is very limited, and overly priced. The servers acted like they didn't want to be at work, we even observed a customer adding a last minute order when she received her check, watched the server make a face and then walk away, under her breath making eye contact with another coworker and said " Oh my God!". We were astonished to see the lack of professionalism of this establishment. They also charge for additional condiments, $4/ 1/2 oz of ketchup. Apparently there is a mandatory 22% gratuity charge with your bill, so maybe that is why the service is mediocre to poor, as they don't care about their attitude, they know they're getting a tip anyway. Beautiful views, poor service, and limited meal options.

starting off, i was pleasantly surprised by the portion of sourdough bread given prior to the meal…read more- as I wasn't expecting that the bread wasn't anything special - but i did like the outside; found it to be pretty crispy. also, i liked the fact that they gave you butter as a dip, although it wasn't easy to spread it on the sourdough as it was just one big block i thought the main part of this dish, the salmon sliders, were quite good, however this came in three separate 'sliders', each with a base of rosemary bread, a sliced tomato, and a portion of salmon, topped with pesto the actual salmon itself was ok - personally i thought it was a bit stringy and chewy, but otherwise not bad. being brushed with oil certainly helped with the taste however, the other aspects of the slider were fantastic normally, i don't like tomatoes, but it fit really well with this dish. the flavor was there but not overpowering i also quite liked the pesto as a condiment - there was a solid amount on there - and it added a nutty texture that was good the best part of these sliders, however, was the rosemary bread. this was exquisitely good - it was crispy, herby, buttery, and served as an incredible base for the sandwich as a whole. i absolutely loved every bite of this the other thing that was a great touch was placing the sliders on the bottom of the bread rather than the 'more fluffy' side. this ensured that the bread wouldn't get soggy from the tomato/salmon and had it retain its crunchiness to the maximum three sliders was also a pretty good portion size another thing i enjoyed was the salad. a lot of places think that lots of dressing, often oil, is necessary to make a good salad, but this place managed to deliver something that tasted really good and had nice flavor with the use of little to no dressing. i'm impressed at the end of my meal, i got a carrot cake from the dessert menu this was decently sized, and the cream cheese frosting on this had a wonderful flavor i didn't taste the carrot as much in the inside of the cake, but i could tell it was still baked well, and the frosting added a great touch i would say its more of a cupcake than a cake, however i came during happy hour, so for the price of about $14, the sourdough bread + the salmon sliders were a pretty good value i can't say the same for the carrot cake - as while it was good - about 9 dollars is a little too expensive for that

The Louie was really fresh and the blacked salmon salad was good, but HEAVILY dressed, so I would make sure you're aware when ordering. The Sauvignon blanc was perfect. Overall, fresh and fun experience right in Greenlake area.
