We've been to the GV location dozens of times. Decided to try the auburn location to compare. This location is new and clean. It feels like a nice restaurant. The bathrooms were also new, clean and separate men's and women's. The server was extremely professional. The food was delivered within 5 min of ordering. It was delicious as always. 5 stars. Was not a positive experience-food that was available was just ok. Unusual to go to a buffet at 12:18 pm and have empty trays-no tandoori chicken, fish pakoras only had a few pieces. My basic concern is poor customer service. Asked twice for refill on the tandoori chicken/when they did they had 5 pieces only. Other people were waiting for it also. Took forever to get water and only because I went up and asked. Naan delivery has to be more efficient-table next to us was finished with their lunch when they finally got their naan unacceptable. The restaurant was not full when we came. This was our second time to try it. People at the table next to us said last time they came buffet food was cold and they had to ask it be microwaved. The food here is good. But don't try to order online for pick up. They love to ignore the notifications they get so you'll get there, tell them you have an order and they won't even know about it. The customer service is lackluster... Not so much as an apology for the wait. At least it only took about 15 minutes to get the food out to us. But we could have been home in that time. The food was good but they had different menus with different prices so instead of paying $18 for six pieces of chicken I paid $20 and once I showed him that the menu was different. He just said oh the price went up they must not know and he didn't refund my two dollars. Also, if you get food to go you get less than if you eat it in so sit a minute, get your food and then get containers. I will double check everything here from now on. read more

This is our fourth time at this wonderful place. The food is delicious if a bit pricey. We ordered two dishes that came with rice, two orders of garlic naan and a glass of wine. Our lunch (not including tip) was $56 and change. We did have enough leftovers for a second (large!) meal though. It was very good and the service was just exceptional. I would say it was well worth the price. The restaurant is nice inside and not overly loud. I completely enjoyed my meal. I would absolutley recommend this place for anyone who appreciates good Indian food and excellent servicesl. read more

Outstanding food and service! This place has some of the best Indian food have eaten. Had the veggie samosas-they were outstanding, flavorful and not any trace of grease. They were fried but not oily. Dipping sauces were amazing-my favorite was the mint... lamb curry entree and I had it spicy-a good kick of heat but not overpowering at all! India Oven is mostly solid. My wife and I order to go from here often. Chicken tikka masala, butter chicken, shahi paneer and garlic naan are usually fire. Last time the chicken tikka masala was extremely bland and we generally don't care for the samosas. Folks at the front are always pleasant to interact with. My husband and I love Indian food so we tried this for the first time night before last. The decor was beautiful. It was clean and the service was perfect! We saw 3 different people come to check on us and how was the food and did we need anything else. We ordered coconut curry chicken... let me tell you probably one of the best things I've ever eaten...top 10...so delicious! Served with basmati rice and we ordered the butter naan and the garlic naan. There was enough left over to have a 2nd meal the next night. We can't wait to go back and try new things. I wanted to have lunch there since my husband doesn't care for Indian food so I went with a friend instead. I had the Baingan Bharta with Basmati rice and my friend had the lamb with coconut curry. We both got a medium spice level. The food was excellent, and I'll be returning to try something else that I'm not familiar with. Since we were only 1 of 3 tables, service was excellent and the waiter very helpful and answered all of our questions. The ambiance, is quite lovely. Very comfortable and elegant. I read the reviews had just had to try it out, also it rated 100 out 100 in food safety with no violations. The restaurant was beautiful and classy. My husband made a comment that this restaurant very impressive and he felt we where not in Auburn. The General Manager was very polite and attentive as was our waiter. The restaurant was very quite we ate around 8 pm, but take out orders where steady going out the door. The food and presentation was excellent. We will certainly return soon. read more

The food is very good. I am a food snob, so for me to say it's good, It really is. My only gripe is I wish there were 1/2 portion sizes for 1/2 the price. We like to try a variety of dishes when we go out to Indian cuisine. We had so much food left over, that it gave us an additional few nights of dinners. I felt like the prices are based on the large portion sizes which may be good for larger groups, but for a couple it was an over whelming amount of food. Smaller portions for a less price would make me come back 100% at least 1-2 times a week for dinner. But at those prices I may come back once every 3-4 months.
