Didn't even knew this place existed! Stumbled on it via uber eats! Thanks to my vada pav cravings! This is not a restaurant, more like a cloud kitchen where you order food online and you pick it up or get it delivered via uber eats or DoorDash. Ordered Mumbai style vada pav and samosa chat and decided to pick it up. For people who are from Mumbai, India, vada pav is like their go to instant food, with the green chili coriander sauce, garlic red chilli dry chutney and fried green chill alongside, the vada pav is basically incomplete without this trio, and that's where this place fell short, they didn't have the usual sauce and chutney but provided me with the fried green chilli :) on request. The Vada though not authentic tasted good, the pav (bread) were very small though. Samosa chat wasn't bad. Will definitely try the other dishes they have to offer. Place is not easy to find but well worth a try.

I didn't know about this place until it came up on my DoorDash! I'm always skeptical about Sacramento Indian restaurant establishments because they cater to specific demographics. Real restaurants I've found have been in the Bay or Fremont. I was so pleasantly surprised by this establishment! I ordered a little bit of my favs and it did NOT disappoint. By far, best place for chole bhature in Sac! Kidd loved the butter chicken, I'll be ordering again to try more items! Thank you for yummy food, FINALLY!!!!!

Great take-out place for Indian food. Found this place through a work colleague as they catered from here. Owners are super nice people. Highly recommend - Thalis as you get little of everything.

Amit answered the phone and that conversation ended my stress! Amit took the order I made with the other restaurant, gave me a quote and 15 hours later he was setting up our buffet for 40 people. So many times as customers we have to choose between the food we love and the customer service we want. At Bombay Bar and Grill you don't have to make that choice. Amit was a great partner and eased my stress and literally delivered in every way possible. Amit was so professional, warm and responsive to our every need when he fulfilled and delivered our delicious food. The butter chicken disappeared into thin air, the naan was super fresh, soft and warm. The chana and samosa were savory and hit the spot! Even the chai was hot with the best blend of spices! I can't wait to come in and actually sit down and have a dinner with Bombay. Until then, all my gratitude to Amit and the full staff there. See you all soon. PS if you need catering, call now! You won't regret it.

We were greeted by the sweetest waitress, who promptly took our drink order and then gave us a few minutes to look over the menu without feeling rushed. For appetizers, we chose the Nepali samosas, mushroom pakora, and goat cheese naan--every single one was delicious. I usually order the Chicken Tikka Masala, but this time I decided to switch things up and try the Butter Chicken. I can honestly say I was not disappointed. Paired with the garlic basil naan, it was perfection. A little piece of naan, a small scoop of basmati rice, and a drizzle of that rich, flavorful butter chicken was absolutely chef's kiss. The portions were generous, and I had plenty left over. Now I'm genuinely looking forward to lunch tomorrow so I can relive the experience all over again. If you're looking for incredible Indian and Nepali food in Sacramento, Everest Curry is definitely worth a visit.

So we went for the butter chicken. We got two to go and it came in maybe a 18 oz container. For the price of 17 bucks, you would assume it would come with rice and naan. It did not, it was an additional 7 dollar charge which would have brought this meal to 24! Pricey! The butter chicken was great. Really loved the softness, creaminess mixed with middle eastern spices. For the price point however, I have to rate it lower. feels a little skimpy. remember taquerias with complimentary salsa bar and chips..

I've traveled twice to Punjab and eaten a lot of homemade food. This restaurant is the best in Sacramento for the ingredients available! I have eaten both for the buffet and dinner dine in, it's amazing! For a buffet with so many meat options, it's a reasonable price and very flavorful. Of course, with all buffets (the few that are left) you cannot expect the food to be piping hot... it's been made in bulk and sitting there. Yet, it's still delicious! So please stop complaining about the buffet as this is exceeds the mediocre buffet in the area. Lastly, the costumer service is exceptional! Punjabi hospitality at its finest. It reminds me of being with family and being cared for ensuring that all is well with my meal. So grateful for the delicious food and amazing people running it.

The pakoras were good as well and it came with a green sauce that had a good kick to it, however the pakoras did seem a little overcooked, almost like they may have been left in too long. My main critique would be the portion size. For about $20, the paneer came in a pretty small container. Usually, my husband and I can share a dish like that at other restaurants and feel full, but this one didn't quite hit the mark for the price. If you want a bang for your buck, this may not be the spot to go. Ambiance: small, cozy spot Service: server was nice and friendly Overall, this place has a lot of potential--just a few minor things here and there. On a weekday night after work this was a cinch. I confirmed the Veggie Momos were in fact vegan (believe it or not lots of places sadly put dairy in them) and yes they are. Hooray! But why stop there? Our friendly server helped me navigate the other vegan items (there are several) so we also ordered some Veggie Pakora, Began Bartha, and Mushroom Masala to share. No surprise for me, the Veggie Momos were the star of the meal and had a tasty dipping sauce. Everything else was also good and had plenty of favor. I would definitely come back for more.

I have dined in with colleagues, family, friends, etc., and have ordered a lot of to go orders. We ordered to go several days ago, and it will be the last time that we dine in or order food to go. I called in the order, and the woman that I spoke to on the phone was incredibly rude. The plan was to try one of the thali's, and I wanted to ask a question. Her comment was "make up your mind". I'll call you back. Had we not wanted Indian food from a tried and true favorite place, it would've ended with that. She called back as we were getting ready to walk out of the door to go somewhere else and timing worked out in their favor. Normally, we order the samosas chat, and this time we opted for just the samosas. Samosas were thrown into a bag. Yes she read that correctly. Food was put in a bag. They weren't wrapped they were just thrown into the bag. Disgusting. The tandoori chicken was ordered with the request that the onions and peppers be grilled. What we received was a very small serving of chicken, that was overcooked, inedible, along with close to raw onions and peppers. The thali- what a waste of money! The serving size for both proteins was barely 8 tablespoon of protein, and it was mostly all sauce. The naan was the worst. I think I've ever had. Over baked, bland, which for garlic naan should not even be a thing. It was just awful. The other parts of the thali were also inedible. each one tasted worse than the next one, and we ended up throwing the entire container away. Bad service. Bad food. i'm still bent about paying for food that should've been in a food safe container and instead was put into a paper bag like it was dog food. Indian sizzle you've lost a customer

Chat Bistro is a newer restaurant to me and it had 4.5 stars so it got my attention. I looked at some of the other restaurants and they had less starts on yelp so this was going to be our new favorite. As it turns out I parked right behind the restaurant. The parking lot was busy, but not so much that I couldn't find a close space. I didn't see any disabled parking as I walked to the front of the restaurant. There may have been disabled parking on the other side of the restaurant. The restaurant was pretty cool, even in the summer and it was 97 out at July 9, 2026. My girlfriend wore a short over her tank top which was a great idea. I wish I had brought a light jacket. I was a bit taken back when I entered the restaurant that it wasn't a sit down place. I was hoping for a sit down restaurant. When I arrived one couple was sitting outside in there fenced off seating area. And there was a large party indoors just finishing up and ordering some extra food to go. They had so many empty dishes on their tables. I was happy surprised that there were so many empty tabes. I didn't think ahead with the worry that they would be packed as we were coming at the dinner hour, 5:30pm on a Thursday. We ordered at the front counter by choosing our dishes off the menu overhead. We paid and then they brought us our food and drinks. They didn't give us a number or buzzer. It was really nice. Lychee Shake- Perfect flavor and texture. It was a slush drink that tasted very much like Lychee. I'm a huge Lychee fan and even have fresh Lychees in my fridge so I was very satisfied. $4.99 Iced Rooh-Afza- Not my favorite, it tased like roses. It was the consistency of an iced tea type drink. Not a slush. $3.99 Butter Chicken: Boneless tandoori chicken, simmered in a mild tomato cream sauce infused with cinnamon, cloves, cardamon, and bay leaves. $17.99- good, but not great. It wasn't the favorite Butter Chicken I've ever had, but not bad either. Chicken BIryani: Seasoned basmati rice and chicken served with Riata $15.99 We ordered mild and it had a little spice to it, which was good. The Riata was a good plus to it and took it down to mild. It was good, but there was too much chicken and not enough rice. You sure did get your money's worth with the amount of Chicken they put in it. Naan- Very fresh and came with the Butte Chicken. The best party of dinner was sharing it with a long time friend of mine. The food was just an excuse to get together. Would I go back, sure it wasn't bad and maybe other dishes will be more my thing. The Lychees slush was really good. I usually don't order drinks, but my girlfriend suggested it and I couldn't turn it down.
