The view from our table. It's truly lovely.

Come for the view and vacation vibe. We were lucky to get a table in the back room right away. I was thrilled. It was early Sunday afternoon. The place was moderately busy. The server attended to us immediately. She was kind and took good care of us. She really did. I hate being asked repeatedly how I like my food, or do I need anything, or the worst "are you still working on it" or "do you need a box" when I'm in the middle of my meal. It could be very distracting. Audriana was great! She was at our table exactly when we needed her and not more or less. I had a wonderful time gazing out the window (super clean by the way), and enjoying the beautiful, peaceful view. It felt romantic, even with the air conditioning on right next to me. The food? It could have been much better if the kitchen had paid more attention to detail. The French Onion Soup, for example, was tasty, but only slightly warm. Also, the fries and Cheese Curds appetizer were too salty. We call it 'restaurant salty'. To some, it could taste perfectly fine. My Falls Chicken Sandwich was really delectable, but its name was a little bit misleading. I was expecting something to stand out from a regular chicken sandwich:). The Reuben sandwich was buttery and more buttery and "it tasted as good as it looked", that's what I was told. Still, the rye bread was too heavily buttered. The Burgers and Jack Daniel's Chicken looked very palatable. Maybe next time:)

I have been wanting try this place for a long time, so when my friend was in town and we wanted to go out in recommended this place and am glad we did. First thing to know is they have a great view right on the water, a nice outdoor patio, and as the name suggests a cozy log cabin feel. I ordered the shrimp mac and cheese, when I ordered they asked fried or grilled and I said grilled so I was a little bummed when it came out with fried shrimp, but I like fried shrimp too so I wasn't too concerned. But our server remembered and brought me out a small bowl of grilled which I though was really nice. Mine came with a salad and I enjoyed it a lot. Good food, great ambiance, I will definitely be back. It isn't far off the Pembroke exit on the 90, so stop by when driving through!

I was looking for a cheeseburger but they had a stuffed pepper. The cheeseburger which I had was very very good. The stuffing was excellent. The pepper was just right. The service was okay but the staff were very busy with a full house. Understandable. Very nice restaurant, very rustic, right by the water and the waterfalls made you feel very comfortable. I was visiting the Western New York National Cemetery and it was a short drive to the restaurant. It was an excellent choice.

We stopped for dinner early on a Saturday evening. We were seated immediately. The interior is that of a rustic log cabin, perfect for its spot at the falls on Tonawanda creek. I started with a crock of the French onion soup, and while I did enjoy it, the cheese on top was burned. I also got the rueben sandwich and fries which were very good. My wife ordered chicken wings, and got a bonus double wing! We will definitely stop by again in the future.

Stopped by a few weeks ago for dinner...the location and decor were great and the staff was very welcoming. I got the chicken wings which were delicious . My husband got the French onion soup which I was planning to share and a reuben. The French onion soup was tasty but the cheese on top was burned...everything else was great. Will definitely plan a return visit!!!

Under new ownership, awesome atmosphere. Right on the falls. Good music and vibe. All ages... literally. All enjoying their food and drink! Jack Daniel's chicken with slaw and mashed potatoes/gravy. Amazing. Special: garbage burger. Excellent sauce - cooked perfect. Service was excellent! Nice Glow up! We are coming back when the patio is warm and hopping!

This is a must see spot. A restaurant and full bar right next to Indian Falls. The log cabin vibe is off the hook. Large parking lot with lots of lighting close to the restaurant. Very hometown friendly neighborhood atmosphere. Clean, smells good, and fun. Pete is an amazing bartender and cook. He whipped us up a batch of Pete's 20 piece wings with homemade blue cheese as a side kicker. Soooooooooooooo gooooooooood we sat at the bar, heard stories of the falls , and enjoyed being in the presence of the locals. The drinks were cold, the food was hot and the service was spot on. If you are in the area please do yourself a favor and stop in.

Yuck! So I am sad to write this as I really really wanted to love this place. Setting spot on Food- different, interesting and only reason they are getting two stars! Ambience- has potential but the place is dirty, the bathroom gross and the weeds are out of control Service- woof! It was so bad.....we arrived around noon on a Thursday.... It was busy, we asked to sit out side and got a quick attitude from the one server who said "I don't have anyone covering the outside so no". We did end up getting a table over looking the falls, which was great! But the couple that came in after us and the group after them all got to sit outside- and no one new showed up to serve ‍‍ weird how that works. The food took forever to come out. My son asked several time for a class of water- it took over 15 Minutes to get one. Whenever, we asked for anything it we got a free eye roll!!! But the eye rolls were nothing to the nasty comment I got when I got up after waiting for a while to get to go boxes. Needless to say it was a teachable moment for my kids, they had the opportunity to experience how to handle themselves when someone else is clearly having a bad day. I would love to go back but it won't be for a long time as I don't know how I would handle the snottiness a second time.

3 stars only, because of the view, it was amazing. Service was very poor, our server was not outgoing or attentive to us. Food was ok.

Too many local drunks spoil the atmosphere, food and specials are worthy but the local drunks at the bar spoil the ambiance

Fourth of July 2025 weekend, I finally had a chance to grab a burger with them and holy moly, they were so right - This might be the best burger I've ever eaten! We arrived around 3:30pm on a Saturday and were pleasantly surprised to grab a parking spot on the street, practically right in front of the entrance to Butcher's Son! They're located at one end of Market St. in Corning, now I don't frequent Corning often so I don't know if there's a big parking lot or more side streets to park along, but I could definitely foresee this street being packed with people and cars during the week. I think the time we arrived was a big part as to why we had no trouble getting a parking spot as well as being able to easily find a table after placing our order. The three of us walked in and it really is a butcher shop that has a small menu of burgers, fries, and specialty sandwiches (I saw a steak sandwich on their menu). There was a large, bar-style table with stools to sit along in the front with a station full of cutlery, napkins, packaged ketchup, stuff like that, nothing too fancy but clean and orderly. A courteous, friendly gentleman took our food order and told us to grab a seat anywhere we like and they'd get our food to us. We ended up taking over one of the tables, with an umbrella, outside and we were the only ones out there! It was nice to sit, talk, hang out for a bit, the relaxed, quiet atmosphere was nice. About 10-15 minutes later, all of orders were boxed up and brought out to us. For my late lunch/early dinner meal, I ordered the Fun Guy Burger, which is two smashed beef patties topped with sautéed mushrooms and onions, bacon jam, and Swiss cheese, along with a side of their hand-cut shoestring fries. Oh. My. Goodness! Wow, was this burger out of this world good. That had to be the freshest, juiciest, perfectly-cooked burger patties I have ever eaten. There were tons of sautéed mushrooms and onions on top and they were incredibly generous with the bacon jam. The Swiss cheese was melted just right and paired so well with the other toppings. The bun was toasted and held everything together very well. The burger itself is big and is honestly the perfect portion as you'll certainly be full without feeling any sort of "meat sweats"! haha They were very generous with the portion of fries as well. Personally, I liked the way these fries were cooked where they weren't crispy/crunchy but they weren't limp at all. Whatever they were fried in gave these fries an awesome flavor without having a ton of salt and pepper thrown on them. I really liked their fries; I'm not a huge fry-person but these would probably be at the top of my list. Another thing that I have to call out was how reasonable their prices were. Coming from Buffalo, burger prices are really expensive for what you get but Butcher's Son, my meal - burgers, fries, water, probably came near $20, maybe a few cents over that, which in 2025, is phenomenal value! My family told me that Butcher's Son came in first place in the New York Beef Council's "Best NY Burger" competition for 2025. My family and the competition judges are spot on and Butcher's Son totally deserves, and earned, the accolades and awards. Everything from the staff, the focused menu, the quality food, the portions, are great! Next time I'm in Corning, I can't wait to come back here and grab another burger and fries!

Five Stars Isn't Enough for Adam and the Team at West Rose!…read more From top to bottom, West Rose delivered an exceptional dining experience. The food was incredible, the service was top-notch, and the atmosphere in Ellicottville was fantastic - not a single complaint across the board. But what made our visit unforgettable was the General Manager, Adam, who gave us a masterclass in world-class customer service. Full disclosure: I had two complete "rookie mistakes" during our meal that I've never done in my life. First, while reaching for a slice of pizza, I managed to send the entire rest of the pizza - pan, rack, and all - crashing onto the floor. Mortified is an understatement. Before I could even finish apologizing, Adam stepped in. He had a staff member clean it up in literally ten seconds, flashed a warm smile, and calmly said a new pizza would be right out. Zero frustration, zero annoyance--he handled it with complete grace and had a second, fresh pizza at our table in minutes. He made sure I didn't feel embarrassed for even a second. To make matters worse, five minutes after walking out the door, my phone rang. It was Adam, politely letting me know I'd left my credit card behind. When I walked back in feeling twice as foolish, he handed it over with a smile and a good laugh after I admitted it wasn't my banner day. Great food is easy to find, but genuine, gracious, above-and-beyond hospitality like Adam's is rare. I Left a well-deserved tip and promised him I'd leave a review - and he truly earned every bit of praise. Don't skip this place if you're in Ellicottville! I know we'll be returning.
