Don't skip out on this amazing restaurant!!! I never write Yelp reviews but I had to for this place. It's a small hole in the wall right off of Aurora but it's some of the best food I've ever had. First off, the aromas you smell as soon as you step out of your car is like none other. Even before you head in, you already start craving their dishes. The staff are very kind and service is good. As for the food, so much flavor and good sized portions! We've had the momo's, saag, and tikka masala curry and nothing ever disappoints. Their drinks are also made well and the chai is a good, authentic one. It's now our go-to place any time we're craving Indian or Nepalese food. House chicken curry was so watery (usually non dairy curries still have some thickness to them with like cooked down tomatoes for example) and didn't have enough flavor, was excited to try but very disappointed. My friend had been raving about this place and really wanted to take me there as I'm Nepali and after having eaten there last night I can see why. The menu is quite comprehensive and you can a find a host of Indian and Nepali favorites here, everything from momo to Nepali bbq to Indian tandoori favorites. We ordered the momo platter, chow mein, gundruk, chicken sandheko and everything was excellent, seasoned really well and arrived fresh and hot. They make some amazing food here. I ordered takeout, the online order system was easy to use, the food was ready quickly, the staff was friendly, but most importantly, the food was just outstanding. These guys care about their craft and it shows. Everything on our order was delicious, but I highly recommend the Aloo-Bodi-Tama, from the Nepali specialty secton on their menu. Came home late from work one night, when I first came to Seattle, and decided to give this place a try, since it's so close to my apt. Ordered the momo on delivery, the prices were reasonable and the filling of the chicken momo was good but I didn't care for the outside of the momo, it was way too thick. The texture was more like a Chinese dumpling rather, than the thinner consistency which is typical of Himalayan momo. I'm hoping they make the outside a bit less thick in the future, or my family and I can find a spot that does. read more

The service is prompt and warm, they do a good job of blocking out Aurora and the food is delicious. I tried this restaurant yesterday. The interior hasn't changed from the previous restaurant and it could use some updating. That being said, I got the veggie momos (dumplings). They were really good. Also, the Aloo Chana (potatoes and chickpeas) which was delicious and the mixed pickles, which was the best I ever had. I also got the chicken chow mein which was perfectly cooked. The gentleman who assisted me with my takeout order was super nice. Overall, a good meal and I will be going back. Give it a try. read more

With respect to the Nepali restaurants in the general area; including DT Seattle... none of them come close to making as genuine and fresh Momo's as this restaurant. I've had the pleasure of traveling to Nepal some years back, and the momo's made here remind me of the momo's i'd eaten there. Fresh, hot, moist.... it doesn't get any better than this. Honestly. My family went there for dinner tonight and ordered a ridiculous amount of food for 2 adults and 2 kids because everything we saw looked and smelled delicious. We loved the food, which tasted authentic, and the service was exceptional! All of the people working there were very kind and helpful especially when I broke a glass while packing up leftovers. Avoid this place at all costs unless you'd rather spend your night in the bathroom instead of in bed and be sickened and disgusted instead of fed and nourished. Don't be put off by the location- on Aurora and next to a hotel. Inside is nothing fancy but it was clean. Service was attentive and the waiter was happy to give us some recommendations. Food was very good. I had the combo plate of Momo ( Nepali dumplings) and they were fresh and delicious. The naan, chicken soup and samosas were also tasty and worth coming back for.
