Everything about this place is AMAZING! It's a big easy access when you walk in pretty straight forward. Call in orders on one side and the counter the place your order on the other side. The stuff was very polite and super prompt. Inside wasn't loud it smelled of wonderful food was very clean. Every single thing looked delicious. I got a steak lunch burrito with Christmas. Haven't been here in way too long, but they have my favorite burritos in Albuquerque! Which is saying a lot because we have so many delicious options. The chile is spicy, so ask for it on the side if needed, but definitely try it. Portions are large and worth the price. There are also a variety of pastries, including huge apple fritters. Bring your appetite. This burrito was huge. The inside is simple and clean. I picked chicharones with red. The chicharones were super meaty and had a wonderful chew. The tortilla was also perfect. It had enough pliability to hold everything in without ripping or dripping. They also have a little coffee bar connect that I picked up a horchata from. It was refreshing and the service was great. Tried this place 3 times. First a chicharron burrito. Too much gushy un rendered fat. Second: same Third: tried a Philly. Not like the ones I've enjoyed, never even saw the onions and the bell peppers were undercooked. Not cheesy. The meat was tough. I am surprised because so many people love this place. The beef jerky was not my style. Thin and dry not much flavor. Mostly tastes like beef. Much is OK but when I order a jerky that has flavor, it should have flavor. The burritos were huge. Not much flavor in them they need salt, garlic, and other spices to make them tasty. You order at the counter when you stand in line to go in and then you grab a table and wait for your food. They will call you when it's ready. Kind of chaotic in there and tables fill it quickly. It's very loud in there and nobody comes around to check on you. If you want something else to drink, you have to go up and get it. It's definitely not a place to sit down and order your food and have a nice meal. To each his own! I used to love NM Beef Jerky Co. They were my go to whenever I was near Downtown. But last week, I picked up my order and after getting back to work, I realized my order did not match what it said on my receipt and what was printed on the bag ticket. I called to ask for a refund and spoke to manager Ethan, who also took my order over the phone. Ethan agreed to give me a refund for me getting the wrong food (after demanding I text him a photo of my meal, which I did...) but I never got a refund. Instead, I was double charged for my food, which I could not eat because it was not as I ordered. I guess I will have to dispute the original charge that should have been refunded and the extra charge with my bank, because all Ethan did was lie to me and treat me like a fool. I love the food here but poor management can lead a place to go downhill fast. I will never be returning and urge everyone to think twice before visiting because this establishment does not value its customers, their time, or their money. Very disappointing. read more

Excellent food! Clean tables. Friendly staff. Crowded, which is a good sign. Had best breakfast burritos well balanced with egg and meat and cheese, it was filled full with potato as the filler. Love the tortilla around it. Thin and tasty! Also had one of the best apple fritters I've ever had for $2.70. Was heavy and actually had apples in it. Have had way too many fritters in other places where the apples are hardly there. It was hefty in weight! Delicious. Went to NM Jerky Company for Brunch this morning before hitting the growers market. The food came out fairly fast. Charles Chavez had the sausage breakfast burrito with green chile and I had the taco burger with red chile and chile cheese fries. Both had amazing flavors. The burrito was worth two meals and was worth the price. The chile had a little heat to it. The taco burger will give me another meal as well. The red Chile was not spicy but the flavor was so good. We were able to find a seat, but the next time we may just may a phone call and pick up the food to go. read more

Last I knew of this place it was a little local restaurant and it closed and reopen as nm beef jerky co. I thought it was just jerky until I yelped it while looking for places to eat in the area. I was shocked at the full menu and superior reviews it had so we had to stop in. It's super crowded but very fast. You order at the counter and either sit in the restaurant or take it to go. We opted to try the chicharron burrito smothered xmas and steak and onion breakfast plate. Everything was delicious! The burrito is so massive I couldn't even eat half of it! The chicharrones were perfect with a little fat and a lot of meat. The place is very clean too. This was my first experience here at New Mexico beef jerky company. It looks like this business first started out selling the famous New Mexico beef jerky but started expanding out to food. Now they have a full non alcoholic drink bar with tons of flavors, breakfast and lunch items, snacks deserts and all kinds of fun stuff. It has this really quaint New Mexico old world charm to it with the wood beams that look like old rustic cabin logs on the ceiling, signs that seem hand drawn like they used to do in the 70s before computers. It's like old world diner meets New Mexican restaurant vibes. I was unsure if I wanted the chicharrón burrito and the manager over heard that so he let me try a sample. Omg it was so crispy and good i definitely ordered it! I got it with hatch green chili on the inside and a side of the red salsa. Okay, so I love their chicharrón more on the side than inside the burrito. The burrito is super bomb and their green chili is soooo good, but the chicharrón kinda takes away from it a bit, don't get it wrong im not complaining, still contender for best breakfast burrito in Albuquerque, but next time I wanna try it with steak or chorizo. The food came out fast, it was hot, and the servers were really friendly! A+ experience Funny story, the server after my meal was friendly and chatted with me and asked if I wanted to try the jerky, so I tried a sample of their beef jerky while I was here and their food is much much better than the jerky. read more

This might be one of those places you just have to visit when you're in Albuquerque. It's definitely a local favorite for the $10 breakfast burritos that are served all day. They are closed Sundays and Mondays, and they close at 3 PM! They have a parking lot, but it is almost always full. It's not easy to wait for a spot to open up because of how small the lot is. The chicharron breakfast burrito was a flavorful, jam-packed burrito. This is just my preference, but I would pick a different protein next time. The chicharron is too chewy for me. I tried the $13 carne adovada breakfast plate. This is like the burrito but without the tortilla. The meat tasted like chicken. I want to start off by saying the smell from the parking lot alone should be excuse enough to come inside. I've driven by this spot a million times and never thought to go inside. A friend mentioned the religious sign out front kind of makes it look like a church or something and that's definitely crossed my mind before driving by. Once you walk in you'll see a coffee and pastry counter and it even said they had boba. The menu is pretty extensive including everything from burgers to breakfast burritos with a variety of meats and such to choose from. I ordered the chicharron breakfast burrito with Christmas on the side. The green is hot, no joke. The burrito was massive, easily could be split amongst two people. A friendly staff member will bring your food out to you on a tray. The food is served on paper plates. If you need a to-go box because the breakfast burritos for instants are huge, you may get one yourself or ask for one. There is indoor and outdoor seating. CONS My girls really wanted fruit, punch and lemonade, but that was ordered and paid for in a different section. Strange. Our order took a while to come out. Burritos here are really good. Owner here is very friendly and often will offer a free piece of their jerky to try. I am not a huge chicharron fan but theirs are good. Parking is the only negative aspect of this amazing spot. Since everyone and their momma want to eat here, parking can be tricky. Now all the good stuff, great services full of smiles and are willing to provide any information in regards to their food ingredients with no attitude. Their burritos are the best in Albuquerque, no rebuttal or disagreement matters because this is the truth. Their burritos are not overly potatoed like most New Mexican's "favorite" burrito spots. They don't hold back on eggs and their protein portions are very generous. There is so much, that I have one burrito for breakfast and lunch. Their chile is also phenomenal, I usually go Christmas-style. If you need jerky, they got you covered, you have a sweet tooth they got you covered, beverages they got you covered.
