We were excited to try this place after seeing so many positive reviews. Upon arrival, the cleanliness of the place reflected what some previous reviews had stated. Ordering seemed pretty easy, though I wouldn't rate it as the friendliest. The food came out in reasonable time. I ordered the farmers chicken on fry-bread (called The Farmer), and my wife ordered the ground beef on fry-bread. So everything seemed to be going well, but as some other reviews had stated, it was basically veggies, beans, and bland protein on top of fry-bread. There was no special seasoning, no special marinades or sauces. It was basically a taco salad. The fry-bread was good and seemed fresh, but it was just...fried bread. I don't know if I'm missing something, but there was nothing special about it. It seemed very simple and was okay, but it's not like it was a combination or a recipe that is going to make us come back. I saw this store front randomly as I was driving around town yesterday. It then popped into my Yelp feed when I was searching for a restaurant with a vegetarian option today. It looked quite tasty, and I love fry bread. My family and I went to the location near Gonzaga University, and we each tried something a little bit different. I had the gather Vegetarian Gather Taco, which is a fry bread base, others had the chicken or the bison version and one member of our party had the chicken strips alone. The huckleberry drink was delicious. And we took a huckleberry fry bread home to eat later is a snack because we were so full from the "tacos", that we couldn't eat it there. I can't wait to try it. Overall, our visit was very enjoyable, the food was delicious, and when I'm back in the area, I will definitely come back. We went to Indigenous Eats because it was actually mentioned in USA Today. The main event, of course, is fry bread which is always a good idea. But for us that's kind of where the special ends. While the food was generally very good I'd have to say it was pretty much a taco on fry bread rather than a tortilla. The music is fairly loud and redundant. Conversation was a little difficult. A very different combination of ingredients that fit together shockingly well! We have visited this restaurant four times. Our entire family really enjoys it. The burger and lemonade are particularly good. With one exception the service has been outstanding. I have tried Fry Bread from many places all over WA. This is by far the best Fry Bread I have eaten. I am usually into the Bread with meat, cheese and vegs, which I did eat and was full and happy. But I also got the Bread with powered sugar and Huckleberry sauce. It was soooo good. The bread just crispy enough and soft inside, dipped into the sauce was heaven. The second I saw these guys on Facebook - I knew I had to try them. I have made frybread once and have a whole respect for the process of what goes into these tacos. I am so excited because they are also super close to where I live. I chose the Hunter frybread. Which by the way - the menu is so creative - seriously - whoever came up with the menu gets the biggest gold star - check it out. Anyway the food was delicious. The style of the space is order at the counter and they build it which is great for being in the college campus area. Quick and easy. The meat mixture was flavorful and delicious. I found this place on a list of cool and unusual things to do in Spokane and had to try it. It was really easy to order online and pick up, and the staff were friendly. I got plain frybread and frybread with huckleberry sauce, it all was delicious. I came here with a friend one afternoon. I had heard great things and I know this place is very popular. The food was just okay in my opinion. Unfortunately, my friend and I had to wait quite awhile for our food. You can customize your dish, similar to Chipotle, which I appreciated. I decided to try the fry bread which is pretty unique. First off- this restaurant is A+ for many reasons. First, it's authentic Indigenous food served in a manner that suits a variety of palates. We were a party of 3 - two adults and one teenager. My husband got the Hunter - a sage bison frybread, as he dislikes taco-seasoned food. The teenager and I love Mexican-style food, so we loved the Rancher frybread. It's a considerable portion- my husband and I could have split one, TBH, but the 14-year-old polished his off and took the half I couldn't finish for leftovers. We came on a Sunday when they have a special where you get a free dessert frybread. We don't have huckleberries where I'm from, so I was excited to try the sauce! Everything was delicious, with attentive service. It's family-run and owned by Native people who take pride in offering good food and sharing culture. We parked in a lot behind the building housing the restaurant. I saw some street parking, but those spaces were all taken. This cafe will also hold a special place in my heart because it's where we took the teen who is joining our family. WOW! This place is such a Spokane gem. We are new to Spokane and when I was yelpin it up I came across this place so we had to try it! Walked in and there wasn't anyone in there at that point but the servers greeted us and the customers service was on point. The person who helped us told us what they usually get and gave us some interesting facts about Bison (which i didn't get but maybe I will have too next time ). I got the frybread with chicken and my partner got the rice bowl. HOLYCOW it was soo good! I've never had frybread before but the best way to describe it is a huge fresh ingredient deconstructed chalupa. After a while of dining in the restaurant started to fill up with a couple families. The interior is so nice and well thought out, including very peaceful indigenous music, which we loved. If you're in Spokane this is a must-try, no excuses! read more

Delicious! Our first time in, we both had the vegetarian option, one on fry bread, one on tots. Both were delicious, but I strongly recommend the fry bread, yum. The huckleberry lemonade was so yummy and not too sweet. The dessert fry bread with huckleberry sauce was also fantastic. We can't wait to go back.
