Cool place. Not what I was expecting- even better. India has a gem here. Great staff too.

Our crew finally made it to the Indio Taphouse lastnight and what a great surprise it was. The initial ambiance as you walk in is very cool. The long L shaped bar with tons of seating , the raised long tables invites neighborly interaction and the clean brick openness of the entire place makes you feel immediately welcome. We were greeted by a sweet young lady who showed us to our table and she turned out to be our server her name is Andy. If you get a chance to have her work your table it's an experience you will enjoy. She is personable, very knowledgeable about the menu and if she didn't know about a particular beer or cocktail she asked the bartender and came right back with the info a sample or a recommendation, our group of five just loved her. Although they don't have an extensive craft draft beer selection, the ones they have are very good and they do stock a large number of bottled and canned crafts so there is plenty to choose from. The craft cocktails that were brought to out table were not only pleasing to the eye, but were made with top shelf liquor and were absolutely delicious and worth the price. Our group tried many different Sammy's, apps and the house made chips and they were great. This is our new go to place for a fun casual lunch or evening out. I can only see this place getting better and better. So overall the Taphouse gets a "Must Try" you won't be disappointed. Recap.... The Indio Taphouse appears to be one of Indio's best kept secrets. We've attended the Taphouse several times this winter with various sized groups. The wait staff (Jenna & April) as well as the bar staff are top notch. Both the regular and Happy Hour menus have something for everyone and have not disappointed. Great place to gather with friends. read more

We stopped by on a THU evening to check out the new place on the block! Despite it being super busy the place was buzzing with cool party vibes. We had a cocktail & an artisan beer and we both loved our drinks! John our server at the bar was did a great job & was very welcoming! Stopped by here this past weekend in the afternoon. Walked in and there was no signage to indicate seating your self or wait to be seated. One of the employees turned around smiled and then turned back around and continued her conversation she was having at a table. We saw a couple leave the bar, so we stood next to their chairs and waited for staff to remove the dirty dishes and cups - which took at least 5 minutes. We saw both bartenders look at us and make eye contact but no verbal "I'll get that in a minute" or something to indicate they'd be with us shortly. One of the bartenders then came over and cleaned the area and handed us menus and then we waited another 5-10 minutes before him coming back to take a drink order, and then waited another 10-15 minutes before we could get his attention again to order food. Overall service (not a busy afternoon) lacked. We had empty drink glasses and weren't checked on. The food itself was good - we ordered the zucchini bites, periquitos (shrimp stuffed chiles), and the cheeseburger. The flavors were there but the plates are definitely only enough for one person, so be sure to order extra if you're wanting to share. We understand it's a newer place, so we'll be back to check it out once their staff is more established and will update my review. read more

this was a place that I loved to frequent and the ambiance was always great. Amazing bartenders and staff always a good time. unfortunately I got word that a group of motorcycle enthusiasts were no longer able to wear their club garments even though they are always respectable customers friendly to all, paying customers and great tippers. Unfair is an understatement and the stereotypical treatment was unwarranted and unnecessay. I will no longer be showing patronage and will discourage others from doing so as well. it's was nice while it lasted. read more

First time here...love it! Finally cool spot. Good food and drinks and loud music. burger was very good and paired well with house chips. The Californian torta was very good too. Terrible service, worse part was that they weren't even busy. Maybe sitting at the bar would have improved service but I would never do that with a minor. Left without even being acknowledged after waiting for 10-15 min. Only nice part was the weather. read more

Really cool spot. Given the name the amount of beers actually on tap was a bit disappointing. The food was so good, buy very over priced. Both my wife and I got tortas which at $14 does not seem like a bad deal at all and they tasted great! Sadly, the tortas must have been made by the same company that made micro machines because they were laughably small. You'd legit need to order 3 tortas to match the volume of food you get with an 8" sandwich. If they made there portions not highway robbery size, this would be an awesome spot. read more

Yummy beer, sports on TV (is there another kind) and delicious house nachos. We were here on a Saturday afternoon for a snack and some beers. They have an interesting selection of local beers. We only ordered the nachos but there were numerous other delicious looking choices. The menu spells out very clearly they have a righteous happy hour, deals on beers and craft cocktails. I ordered the loaded baked potato. I was not given a loaded baked potato, it was an unloaded baked potato. All the ingredients weren't put on and what did make it on the potato was nothing. What a joke. My husband ordered the chicken sliders. No where in the description is it mentioned they are spicy. They were over the top spicy with no warning whatsoever. Very nice edition to the downtown Indio area. We attended the soft opening and their cocktail menu is tasty and well thought out. My Ginger bourbon special drink was great. The bar has many beers on tap to choose from and the atmosphere is very welcoming with hip art and photography through the bar. There is a small outdoor patio you may dine on and the staff is great and you feel at home and are very personable. You can see everyone really cares about their craft and also making changes for the Downtown area that is long over due. read more

First off the service with David was OUTSTANDING!! He was attentive but not pushy or overbearing. So this was a major plus for us first timers to this establishment. As for the food here is our assessment of everything we had- 1) House chips- Sooo good, I could have used a little more salt but that is just a personal preference and you can always add, but it's too hard to remove if they over salt to your liking 2) Agua Chili Tostada's- 2 small but mighty samplings of this shrimp & cucumber tastings. Fine for us girls but if we had our husbands not sure it would be enough, but it is an appetizer. 3) Fries- side of Fries..thin cut so that's what I like and plenty of flavor..you really have to mess up for fries to be bad. 4) Zucchini Bites- Unfortunately neither of us really cared for these, even tho David said they sell plenty..just for info they are a sliced zucchini circle topped off with a VERY spicy Dragon Sauce, we were warned that they are spicy and we're both good with some "heat", this just wasn't what we expected, and if you try them, ask for the sauce on the side so you can adjust it to your own liking. 5) Drinks- my friend just had wine (she's not a beer drinker even tho they have so many to choose from) and I had a Tamarindio Margarita, the Tequila over powered the passion fruit and lime mix, maybe he just wanted to give me a "good pour" but was a little much for my taste, I also had the Jalapeño Mango margarita which was better but nothing that I would do again. I'll be sure to try one of there 100 or so beers next time. All said I will definitely be back to try some other items on the menu..but for sure I will ask to be seated in David's section if he's working. So nice to have downtown Indio get some great restaurants..Let's shop local and keep these businesses thriving!! read more
