Great experience Food on point nacho fries and beers are both local and guest brews.

Good food, good beer, and good service. We enjoyed the veggie pizza along with DBC chocolate stout and the DBC Date beer. This place is excellent. You need to try it out next time you're out in Indio.

    BLT with fries

This is a new restaurant in downtown Indio. Spacious and clean with a bar, high and low tables and TV's. I had the BLT. It was tasty and came with a large quantity of nicely cooked THIN fries. I met the owner and manager. They were sooo nice as was our waiter. I'll go back soon at dinner time to try their beer and pizza. They brew their own beer, plus have other micro brews, wines, sodas and ciders. Oh, and root beer floats made with their own root beer. Stop be soon and check them out.

So when it came time to eat, I thought, well, this could be a challenge. Then I noticed La Quinta Brewing Co, and saw they had beer too. That changed things quickly. We walked over from our hotel and were pleasantly surprised to find a lively, bustling spot. Instead of waiting for a table, we grabbed seats at the bar near the kitchen, which turned out to be a great call. We ended up meeting Casey, a food runner, and he could not have been nicer. We had a great time eating, drinking, and just chatting. There was also a private event happening inside the brewing space, something with city engineers. Even so, everyone was welcoming and friendly, and they let me step in to snap a photo of the brewing tanks and the proudly displayed American flag. The food was good, the beer was solid, and the whole team made the place feel easy and inviting. Honestly, it felt like an oasis in the desert. La Quinta Brewing Co earns high marks from me. Five stars.

We didn't have reservations and requested to be seated inside. There was a little awkward first impression with the hostess who told us that there was only one inside table left in the back corner. She didn't come across very friendly when we asked if we could see it before deciding if we wanted to sit there or not. I understand they were busy but she was a bit short with us. We were seated in Isabel's section and she more than made up for it. What a gem! She was so friendly and very nice. She made sure to check on us often and we had a lovely time at your restaurant because of her. We are giving this review 5 stars because of Isabel. The seared ahi tuna salad and the ahi tuna nachos were both delicious. The fish was fresh and so very tender with a light dressing. The pulled pork tacos were good too. The brownie dessert was a bit dry though.

I was excited to try it since I hadn't been back to this location since it was Tu Madres, which I was a big fan of. The menu looked promising, and having live entertainment was definitely a major plus. Unfortunately, our overall experience was a bit underwhelming. We made a 6:45 p.m. reservation through OpenTable and requested a high-top table. We ended up being seated at a standard four-top next to the restroom. While it wasn't our preference, the restaurant was busy, and I completely understand that it's not always possible to accommodate every seating request. One thing that was disappointing was the beer selection. The menu advertises craft beer, but under the "Craft & Canned" section it mostly listed domestic staples like Coors Light and Michelob Ultra. There were only a few craft options on draft, and unfortunately the ones our group tried weren't particularly enjoyable. The guys ended up leaving them unfinished and ordering cocktails instead. We ordered the French 760, which unfortunately missed the mark as well. It was overly sweet, and the sugar rim melted down the glass, leaving the stem sticky and messy to hold. The appetizers were actually one of the highlights of the meal. Both the fried artichoke bites and the fried cauliflower were flavorful and well prepared. Service is where the evening started to unravel a bit. After our appetizers arrived, our server didn't return for about 25 minutes. When he finally came back, he asked if we were ready for the check. We had to remind him that we were still waiting to order our entrees. Once we placed our order, the food arrived quickly. Of the entrées, the Steak Frites was excellent and easily the standout dish of the evening. Unfortunately, both the Pasta Pesto and the Pasta Vodka were disappointing. The penne was overcooked, and both sauces were very bland and lacked the flavor we were expecting. The true highlight of our visit was the live entertainment. This was our first time hearing Jessica Michelle perform, and she was phenomenal. While playing the keyboard, she effortlessly covered country favorites spanning multiple generations. Her voice was absolutely beautiful, and she created such a fun, welcoming atmosphere. We'll definitely be keeping an eye out for her future performances. We're not writing off The Local on 50th. I spent over 20 years working in the restaurant industry, from family-style restaurants to fine dining, and one thing I learned is that every restaurant can have an off night. It happens. There was enough potential here that we'd be willing to give it another try and hope our next experience better reflects what this restaurant is capable of.

Since I'm not much of a gambler, I figured why not walk in and donate my yearly $20 to the slot machines Parking was super easy right up front, and they also have a garage that leads directly into the casino. The front door security guard was really friendly too, he laughed when I told him, "I'm just here to give away my $20, I'll see you in 2 seconds." And honestly... I wasn't lying I put my $20 in, lost it immediately, and was back out in about .2 seconds. That said, it was still a fun little experience. The casino itself felt clean, quaint, and easy to navigate. Definitely a nice stop if you want to stretch your legs, play a little for fun, and get back on the road. Just maybe keep it to a small amount... at least that's my strategy Stop in for the stretch but leave your wallet and purse in the car and only take in an amount you won't cry over if you lose.
