From start to finish The Fair Restaurant did not disappoint! The food was delicious, and the…read moreservice impeccable. The atmosphere was great with low lighting and had a very elegant feel. However casual dress was welcome. My wife and I both got free deserts. Lava Cake and cheesecake. Both were delicious. My wife had a filet mignon which very tender. She got the Brussels sprouts and she reported they were good, but could have been sautéed a little longer. I had the NY strip, medium rare. I was very good, with nice seasoning. I had au gratin potatoes, they were so creamy and delicious! All the stars for this place. Please check it out! We'll be back, it's in our back yard!

Some aspects were good but several were really bad. We stated with the Fire appetizer, grilled season shrimp, escargot, broiled oyster, and scallops. The escargot was not done in any sauce, basically just cooked in the shell., no butter or garlic. The scallops were gritty and the oysters were terrible. The shrimp were pretty good but different seasoning. We had the Caesar salad which was pretty good. My wife had the special of lobster and filet. The lobster was way over cooked and the filet was a salt block. She could not eat it. We tried to cut the seasoning off of it to eat it. Definitely not worth $80. I had the charred octopus. I must say it was very good and I shared it with my wife and ate some of her steak. We also had the lister Mac and cheese which was ok. The service was hit and miss. The waiter liked to talk to other tables and took awhile to get back at times. Will not be going back.

Beer and some drinks are also discounted. Service, again, was excellent, with a cheerful and helpful server. My wife ordered chips and queso, a rather small serving of both, but I did think the jalapeños in the queso was a nice touch. Then, a bowl of gumbo that was a grand slam. Rich flavor packed with gumbo goodies. And to top things off, she went with shrimp tacos which you requested grilled rather than fried. She loved them. The only glitch was the server said the tacos come with a side of waffle fries, but were plated with more chips and queso. As we already ordered that item, she immediately offered to bring out the waffle fries. I went with a side salad, essentially a spring mix of greens with cheese strips. Nothing special. Then I ordered lemon pepper wings off the app menu. Served hot, well seasoned, but slightly dried out. The wings were a bit better (moist) in my previous visit. My only "ding" is some trivia type game they play on Friday evenings with some guy on a mic blasting "name that tune" questions. Distracting. And if you read the room, virtually no one was playing, let alone interested. Just let us enjoy our food and fixate on any of the multiple screens showing sports programming. After all, Walk-On's is a sports bistro.

Ordered a tall cold beer to celebrate a long day of hard yard work. He had a seafood poboy and waffle fries. I ordered a blackjack chicken and sweet potato fries. We both commented our items were delicious, large portions, and priced right. Convenient location on the Lewis and Clark Parkway (Highway 31) in Clarksville as well as nearby I-65.

His passion and care for his craft shows through in his cuisine. Flavorful and fresh, it satisfies the pallet and soothes the soul. I had the fresh spring rolls as an appetizer. The presentation was world class and the rolls were incredibly delicious. A spice tray can be requested and encouraged! Try the different jars and experience the heat your way. I ordered the crispy garlic chicken. A traditional Thai dish, except it's done with his own twists and it's delicious. The garlic and basil were present but not overpowering. The flavor and spice combine for a burst of flavor and richness. The chicken crisp and flavorful without being dried and overdone. The entire meal was fresh and delicious. I finished out my Thai experience with Mango sticky rice. You have to see, and taste, this dessert yo believe it. Every place should have a bit of mystery. This is where I leave one for you. Bottom line, do not miss out on Yummi Thai. It's a good place to eat, right here at home.
