I originally didn't plan on changing the diff fluid, but Rei recommended doing it while the car was already there and explained why it was a good idea. I'm glad I went ahead with it. They also took the time to inspect my front struts while the car was there and let me know they're starting to go and should be replaced soon. I appreciated them pointing that out and explaining it instead of just ignoring it. Their pricing was fair too, especially after getting quotes from a couple other places. The whole process was smooth and the car honestly feels better driving now. Definitely a shop I'd come back to and would recommend if you need work done on your car.

AAMCO also replaced a manifold gasket that was brittle. The car ran a lot better than it has in many years. I'm definitely going back to this AAMCO when I need more auto repairs!

On Thursday they told us it would be ready on Friday. I let them know that I had to have my car back because I need to have it for work. It still wasn't ready but promised it would be ready on Saturday. That they would stay late to get it done. They said someone would call us. Not only did they not call us but they went home and my car is still not ready. They promised and promised everyday and then not only did they not have my car ready but they didn't even have the balls to call us to let us know. We found out after 4pm on Saturday when we called and the phone just rang and rang before going to voicemail. I NEED my car for early Sunday mornings for work and have to scramble now trying to figure out what to do. Not at all how a customer should be treated.

My…read morestarter failed on me on a Sunday and I had a string of gigs coming up the following week and knew I had to act fast. I was able to get my car towed to Casey's the following Monday (we used D&R Towing at the recommendation of the shop, and that was a great experience in and of itself, I left them a good review too. Thanks, Rich!) and my car was assessed the next day despite being told Wednesday-late Thursday was the soonest. I was in a pinch working an hour from home and needing the car back before noon today, but the crew got it in and sorted and had it back to me just shy of two days later! The price was as-quoted, no surprise fees or "other" issues that arose between my phone calls and arriving to pick the car up. I was also advised of some preventive maintenance to be done on my next oil change, but was told I can wait until then for that. Big thank you to Mike for being so communicative and transparent with the repairs and timeline, and Fausto (I think that's his name?) for providing an update on the repairs and giving me some good news yesterday (and not being totally annoyed when I frantically called for an update, haha.) I've brought a vehicle in multiple times and each time the service has been good and the repairs have worked great. I've never had them go over an estimate but I have had them come in well under on one occasion. My employer is within walking distance so I can drop off my car and get it at the end of the day which is nice. Anyone traveling to the city can do the same as the train station is super close.

At that point, the employee came out and said the car would be right out and went thru the inspection results after saying they went ahead and did it anyway. Ten minutes later the car still wasn't out. When I was leaving, I said I didn't need to wait for the receipt cause I was running late due to the inspection. The employee then changed her story and said they didn't do an inspection (even though I had the results in my hand).

I wanted to take the car for a second opinion but they refused to let me have the car. I said I needed to think about it so they took me home, I went to my usual repair shop and showed him the pictures they sent me and he said everything looked fine and that I was being scammed, it's called "Predatory Behavior". Preying on the elderly with older cars. Called told them later that day and told them not to do anything to the car I would pick it up in first thing in the morning. When I got there they said that they assumed I wanted them to repair it so they started replacing things. I never signed anything giving them authorization to work on the car. They said they needed time to put the car back together. Several phone calls later they told me that the bill would be $3169 worth of repairs to my very low milage car that looks new. When I went to pick up the car they told me that they had already installed the new parts so I had to pay for the repairs even though I told them not to do the repairs. This company claims to be a Christian based company but I am really skeptical. I would not go to this company for any kind of automotive repairs, just my opinion. I complained to them to no avail. For the record I collect and restore antique cars so I know a little bit about cars, there assumed I was just an senile old man
