I used to go to another koi store in OC to buy food, chemicals, ultraviolet lamp, et al. However, I believe that store closed and Inland is closer in FV. I dropped by here to buy food on my most recent visit. In addition to being conveniently located, the staff is friendly, helpful & efficient. There is no need for me to drive further than a couple of miles from HB for my koi pond needs. Inland has everything I need at reasonable prices. read more

This place has a lot of amazing looking koi fish . I live in Santa Ana and have had trouble finding koi shops around other than pet co ,pet smart . This is the second one I found in my area so I had to go to Pomona and let me just say you can't compare quality . I bought over 300 dollars in Pomona shop and almost all developed soars or just died . But the ones I bought in Orange County including the ones from this place are healthy beautiful and growing. Customer service was exceptional and they didn't rush me even though they had just closed . I felt really welcomed even tho I had 3 kids amazed by the big fish in the center . Inland Koi is by far one of the best places I've been to that specializes & sells koi in the area. Granted I have not been to every store or garden but I have seen and even purchased a good amount to see what the playing field looks like. Best place for Koi fish! I've been a customer since they opened up in Riverside and was more than ecstatic to hear that they relocated closer to me. They have beautiful authentic Japanese Koi. The owners are two brothers and both are very knowledgeable in the care and handling of the fish. They can talk for hours and fill you in on everything you need to know. They frequently travel to Japan to hand pick the koi. When walking in, you will see an area of gorgeous wood furniture, which is their side business and walking further into the warehouse you will come across 14 large tanks filled with various sized/aged koi. Their warehouse also carries food, pond supplies, and other necessities when caring for koi. This place is amazing! The owner of the store, Joe, was so incredibly kind and helpful. I explained to him that I had just visited another fish store in Garden Grove and was completely let down, the place was filthy!!! I found Inland Koi on yelp and decided to give it a shot based on the pictures and reviews. I wanted to make sure that I purchased a beautiful koi fish that was free of any diseases, I wanted the facility to be clean and classy. I must say Inland Koi went above and beyond my expectations. The water was surprisingly clean and clear, especially for so many fish swimming around! The Koi fish was actually a birthday present for my grandpa who just turned 87. It's a miracle and blessing to celebrate another birthday with him so I wanted his birthday gift to be special. Joe helped me pick the fish, even taking fish I pointed out and putting them in individual tubs so I could really get a feel for their color and their patterns. What exceptional customer service! Not only did he help me do that, but if I pointed out a fish to him and the fish was flawed in some way he was honest about it. Let's just say I originally tried to adopt the koi version of Nemo and he strongly urged me not to. I listened because in reality the poor guy probably wouldn't have lasted long. Joe was SO EDUCATED on the different types of koi, the patterns, the lifespans, water conditions, etc. I never knew there was so much to learn about fish!!!! After much debating and contemplating I finally chose a fish. He was so patient with me I can't even tell you. Although it seems SO silly, it really was a big deal for me. My grandparents have had that koi pond for over 50 years and some of my fondest memories were feeding those giant koi fish in front of their house. Now my family has great grandchildren and that is one of their favorite things to do. My grandpa happily placed his new little koi (so pretty with white and yellow) in his pond and wouldn't you know it we named him Eighty Seven. The little guy is swimming with the big boys and I am confident he is a fantabulous addition to the pond :). The store also seems to carry everything you would ever need for ponds. If I had a pond this would be my go-to store without hesitation. Joe's honesty, kindness, and knowledge is something pretty hard to find nowadays. First time to this place about a couple weeks ago. I've had a koi pond for about 10 years, and I've been to 4-5 pond stores in those 10 years. This place was BY FAR the cleanest store I had ever been to. The koi actually looked VERY healthy. I had called in advance to see if they a certain epoxy in stock, since I had called 2 other stores and they didn't carry it. This place had it! Great! Turned out it wasn't the color I wanted. (my fault, for not asking over the phone) But the guy who helped me said he would order it and have it shipped to my house. He said he would pay the shipping charges. My pond builder recommended this shop to me and thank you. Joe was very helpful in helping me and my lady pick out koi for our new pond. Honest. He told us to stay on the lower side of the cost since we are new to koi ponds. We picked fish ranging from $25 to $65. He also suggested the proper food for our new koi. There were so many types of food and he told us since we are not professional koi breeders or anything like that we could use food on the lower end of the spectrum but still healthy for our new fish. He could have sold us top of the line koi fish and food, but he didn't. Would definitely be shopping here again for either koi fish and food for my fish. Thank you ! read more

Their low and mid tier koi can be found for cheaper and larger elsewhere, and their low end koi are uglier than at other places as well. That being said, they have a nice variety of mid to premium koi. Lots of types to choose from. They sell plants and mosquito fish too. They also have a very nice clean facility with a great ambiance. This is not a place where you'll see sick or dying fish. The owners work the place and understand the true meaning of customer service. Highly recommend! read more

The quality of fish is the best! Joe is very helpful and knowledgeable on how to care for your koi. I have bought several fish over the years from inland and have never had a problem. The koi always arrive healthy and the colors are great. The web site is updated as soon as they get back from Japan. I purchased a fish last winter and could not have it shipped until the weather was better. Joe held onto the fish for two months till the ice melted.
