I love this location! I travel a lot, but I always make a point to stop by this one over any of the others. The staff is consistently friendly, welcoming, and genuinely kind every time I come in. My go-to order is a bagel with cream cheese and an Iced IV, and it's always a great start to the day. I also like the atmosphere. There are usually people meeting with friends, having group discussions, or working on their laptops, which gives the place a nice, relaxed vibe. The only disappointing part is seeing what seems to be a regular group of customers who come in with an attitude before they've even reached the counter. They often come across as impatient, demanding, and looking for something to complain about, taking their frustration of life out on the staff. From what I've observed, that always reflects those customers' personalities not the employees or the service here. What stands out is how the staff handles it. They stay patient, friendly, and professional, even when they're being spoken to disrespectfully. I got their Chai Latte with vanilla, no espresso shots. I also got it iced. I also tried the lavender cold foam. I couldn't taste the lavender very well. I like how the lavender cold foam makes the drink frothy and creamy. I would get this drink again, although I was surprised it was not sweeter. Service was quick and easy. As the name implies, this is a chain that specializes in coffee. They even sell things like a few tea items, smoothies, energy drinks, a small selection of pastries, and hot chocolate. I got a large iced caramel blondie (caramel white mocha). This cost me $7.35. It was absolutely delicious. The workers were nice and attentive. I am writing to express my extreme disappointment regarding the service I received at your location on 06/09/2026 at approximately 7:30 AM. Due to the lack of professionalism and kindness I experienced, I do not intend to return to this establishment. While I was at the drive-thru, an employee dropped my credit card while handing it back to me. Because of the positioning of my vehicle, I was unable to open my car door to retrieve it without hitting my mirror. Rather than offering immediate assistance, the staff proceeded to question whether I had actually purchased my drink before handing it to me. I was then made to wait approximately 7-9 minutes to receive my order after they had already verified my payment. When the manager or lead on duty looked out the window, she asked, "Can you just not get your card?" I explained again that I could not open my door and asked if she could step outside to pick it up. While she eventually did so, it was done with a clear negative attitude. I found the behavior of the team serving during this shift to be highly unprofessional. There was a complete lack of human kindness or basic customer service during this interaction. I hope you will look into this matter with the team working at that time. read more

The drive-through is fast and handy for a quick grab-and-go. As far as quality goes, it's slightly better than Starbucks but less than a Cartel, Press Coffee, or even Peets. If you're a connoisseur you'll never get that perfect cup but it's still a good place if you're on the go. read more

I like BR not as much as Starbucks but this one is open later than the SB nearby. It's only a few months old and has a very nice interior with comfy workspaces and couches. The music was better and more low key than other BRs I've patronized. I had a lemonade which was tasty in a large container and at $2.65 not a bad price(I tipped .35 out of the $3 I handed over. They have a drive thru, nice bathrooms and roomy interior. I've been going to Black Rock for a long time now - usually on the Bell Road location. Stopped by the Frank Lloyd Wright location in Scottsdale on my way home from an event. Absolutely the worst experience I have had at a Black Rock and won't be returning to that one. 1) Dirty coffee bar - grounds all over open milk out coffee splashed on the floor and walls. 2) Girl behind the counter was an absolute $!*#. Extremely rude in how she handled the order. Usually Black Rock staff is known for their fun personalities and friendliness. Not this one! 3) Staff could not type my phone number right to get points and then proceeded to tell me that it didn't matter cause I didn't have the app. She literally gave up and walked away. Never had that said. Maybe if she could read and write, she could have gotten it correct instead of telling me I was wrong and didn't matter. Either way, customer service in today's world says a lot. When it stinks, it bites. Especially when people can write reviews. I don't expect people to be perfect, nobody is. And everybody has bad days. But at least be a decent human being. I had iced tea. It was subpar. Very pricey and they don't even put sugar in it or offer to put syrup in it. Main area nice but the bathrooms were awful. The staff he is just amazing. I am uncertain if they are told to be as personable as they are, or if good rapport is just contagious. I would guess it's the latter. Everyone that works here goes overboard to try and connect with their customer. Questions about "How your day looks?" and "What do you do for a living?" are asked without pretense. And it's refreshing. Coffee is good, and atmosphere fantastic. Wi-fi works well too. All in all, it is a wonderful place to enjoy. I have been to this new Black Rock location three times, and I am so glad they opened it here! First, it's near where I work, so I have already dropped in twice to work in the afternoon on beautiful days when I don't feel like being cooped up in the office. Second, it's the largest interior of any Black Rock that I've been in, and I really love that as well as the interior decor and design, which includes some very comfortable seating--yes, including the padded high-top chairs! The electric fireplace is a very nice touch, and the garage-type roll-up door is super nice to have up on nice-weather days. (My only complaint? Not enough outlets to plug in devices. They do have some, but most newer coffeehouses provide an ample number of places to plug in your laptop or to charge your mobile phone or tablet.) Third, they had great opening-week deals, including the only one I had time to participate in: the $2 drink punch card. I've already made use of it twice, but my favorite drink (which is, unfortunately, not on the drink card) is the nitro cold brew. The nitro option is not much of an additional charge, so I highly recommend going nitro here. I like it much better than the traditional cold brew, so it's entirely worth it! Be aware that some of the sweet drinks are really just a bit too sweet here, so you may want to order them half-sweet or two-thirds-sweet. Give your favorite drink a try, and decide for yourself. First time I've ever been disappointed with BRC. I was standing at the counter for more than 5 minutes before somebody said hi and greeted me. It took more than 20 minutes to order. The man before me was given a gift card for his wait, but they did not give me one. I ordered two drip coffees to go. When I took it to my friend, he and I thought it was the worst coffee we had ever had! It was bitter and too strong. There wasn't enough sugar or creamer to make it better. We even tried to pour out half and add water and it was still really bad. I think the girl behind the counter who made the coffee needs another lesson on how to make drip coffee. My friend and I ended up pouring out all of our medium-size coffee because it was just terrible because it was terrible. Very disappointed because BRC is usually my favorite, but I will avoid this one. read more

I absolutely love coffee! I absolutely love Black Rock coffee! Of course I was thrilled to find out Black Rock was opening up around the corner from my house. This location is in the old Chase bank using the old drive through window. That being said nothing in this location looks like it was a former bank. The wall murals are amazing as well as all the furnishings! They've definitely added some class to this neighborhood! I can definitely see myself hanging out on the beautiful leather furniture or at the tables in front of the fireplace with the ladies or my husband.
